Sorry mama..can imagine the emotions you are feeling..cant advice as to whether to go for the rlective CS or not..however im hopeful you will fall into labour before then..have you tried taking pineapples?sweet ones..tried it with my first baby and i gave birth on my EDD..(i took it the night before)..try them every night..cant for sure say if it worked or i was just due to pop but just try..(thinking back i think it worked)cos the minute the labour pains started i couldnt even time it..it was in continuos waves..and no water breaking..by the time i got to the hospital i gave birth in less than an hr..labour started at 3am..got to the hospital 9am bcz i was delaying nd thinking twas false labour..gave birth at 10am ..then just keep up with your walks..anything can happen in the few days you have ..stay positive..

My advice: Go and register immediately and show d result to ur doctor becos according to d comments some where place on drugs but I don't think it is something that serious.

I was told to stop at 34 weeks. From my research, that's because vasoprin has blood thinning effect and doctors won't want you to go into labor without the effect wearing off, this is to prevent unnecessary blood loss. You could ask the 26-weeker what his/her reasons are. Don't be confused


On another note, my baby just bam for inside belle o. 40+ weeks today. Cervical ripening/induction scheduled for next week if spontaneous labour doesn't begin.
Baby's estimated weight as at two weeks ago 3.75kg. Lord only knows what it is today.
Doctor suggested keeping an open mind CS wise.

Gained 5kg this whole pregnancy (though I wasn't skinny to begin with - 80kg) and the bulk of it is baby, placenta, amniotic fluid etc. Super sure I didn't eat junk and cravings were not even an issue for me.

Don't know whether to be scared, worried, gba kamu or what. I'm just gonna go sleep, hand everything over to God.

For now, my decision is to take another scan elsewhere if labour doesn't start before scheduled date, if same ol, same ol, I'd go for an elective CS rather than an induction that might fail (please sabi mamas chook mouth at this point ooo, if this is a good decision).

I think you should go for the induction.
Since you're term, there's a strong chance that the induction would work.
Before Next Week, you can walk but try not to over exert yourself.
Some dancing won't hurt to.
And the core of Queens pineapples. Google to get the picture. Helps too.

For my 1st, I had HBP too. Took aldomet and nifedipine from 20+ weeks till delivery at 39+3 weeks. They wanted to induce me but the doc(God bless her) sent me for a CTG scan 1st to check if we are eligible for induction but we were not. Did CS, had a 4.4 baby.
Considering ur baby's size from ur last scan and HBP, will suggest you go for the CTG scan 1st to be sure and/or go for elective CS.

What if the person decided to give birth in one of those trado homes?in that case she has exposed the midwife to the disease and also the baby too.it'z well.

Thank u. D second gynea that told me to stop at 36 weeks is actually a specialist. So I will go with him and sabi mamas that said it's not a problem. Which ever way God wants, u will deliver safely IJN.

SomebodysMum , what I know will most definitely work for self labour induction is n-i-p-p-l-e stimulation, pumping i mean, no be to romantically rub nipp-les o.
If you have a breast pump, trying pumping, you might feel a bit sore, probably pump an oz or less of colostrum but it works most of the time in starting really strong contractions which is why nipp-le stimulation in early pregnancy is discouraged as it deceives the body that baby is ready to make entrance and triggers contraction, thereby leading to miscarriage.
For a full term pregnancy, the contraction breast pumping will trigger is welcomed.

Eating the core of Queen pineapple works as well but you will have to eat well over a dozen or two of the pineapple core(the sticky looking part in the middle) and trust me, your tongue will not thank you for it and it rarely works.

Kpekus does wonders too, topped with walks and dance. If you have access to a birthing ball, plss dive on.

But in all, your best bet is breast pumping.
And most of all, pray. If you are a Christian, read psalm 51 several times, most women swear it.

Phew! All these wahala just to birth our LOs, oriegwu.
