Katsumoto: There are many issues that need to be tackled in Odualand such as Education, Infrastructure, Security, moral decadence, etc. Given that most people know about these issues, how will having an Oba on NL help tackle these issues? Will the Oba have the ear of the powers that be? Maybe, otherwise what’s the point? Nevermind that most of the real Obas are not even concerned about the welfare of their subjects.

I believe that forums such as this can be used to discuss issues and potential solutions suggested by all who have the interest of Odua at heart. If there are those who are close to governors, senators, etc, then perhaps you can suggest to them to visit NL and read the views of well meaning individuals. There was a thread (I believe it was started by Ekt Bear) about whats next for the SW; there were a lot of suggestions on that thread especially about infrastructure development.

Odualand was almost destroyed by Obasanjo’s PDP; now the ACN is in power and is struggling to articulate a vision for most of the states in the SW. Save for Fashola, the rest are struggling. Aregbesola is wasting precious time attacking Mimiko for not being in ACN; Amosun is wasting time criticizing Daniel. Fayemi is about to waste funds building a new governors lodge. I am not even sure what Ajimobi is doing. ACN is not doing a good job as the opposition; it is criticizing everything PDP is doing wrong instead of finding strategic issues to shout about.

Tinubu has done well in getting rid of OBJ but it is time for Tinubu to demonstrate his love of Odualand. It is time for the ACN to imbibe and inculcate the spirit of fairness and democracy as espoused the AG in the 1st Republic. I believe that the ACN should adopt the [s]political ideology of democratic socialism[/s] as practiced by the AG in the 50s and 60s. If Tinubu is unable to articulate a proper vision, then he should step aside for someone else, maybe Fashola. Getting rid of PDP is not enough.

Rant over

Ode oshi. . . Democratic socialism is an economic ideology; at least, in principle, it is more economic than political. The AG of Awolowo actually supported/espoused social democracy. He envisioned a capitalist system, with some social reforms, such as the welfare state, intended to make it more equitable and humane. He termed it "cautious industrialization." Democratic socialism is something else entirely. One would think an overly pretentious, mixed race, self appointed custodian of Yoruba thoughts, history & ideology like you would know the difference . . . oh well,

Boy your claims are false. There was a thread about Yoruba civil wars which I followed closely. That thread brought out the best Yoruba brains and you were vissibly missing. There is this chap called Coogar, he rqually did well though he was not nominated. Jarus would have been the best candidate for this role but he has pulled out.
I will now go for Katsumo, though Yorubas here do not know where he comes from. Am sure Katsumo is not my friend from Ghana called Quarcoopome-a teacher at Ibadan who knows Yorubaland more than the Yorubas.
As for DayoKanu, the role of a sports liason officer will suit him most. If its acertained that Kats is actually Yoruba, then let us give it to him.

Andre,

Out of all discussions and debates on Yoruba history and culture is it any surprise that the one an iboman would follow closely and use for reference is the one on a CIVIL WAR? lmao!!

The thing is, as we see Yoruba land and culture... administration from the oba throne down to the masses is very vast and well pronounced so there should be more than enough titles and responsibilities to go around according to specialized skills and knowledge.

We just can't have a single mouth confined to just historical knowledge and staying above the fray even when more is demanded.

We need to introduce the real Yoruba administrative experience with oba, otun oba and Osi oba, balogun, Are, Asipa, iyalode and others.

Are and a strong defence team with good and effective swift counter team is very important and necessary. We need good political team, entertainment and infrastructure team.

We don't have to be like these low self esteem ibo people with their know nothing, lies and rubbish spewing eze.

Seriously, yall got time on your hands

IMO, I think Ekt_Bear is a sound pick; sometimes we agree and sometime we don't. Katsumoto, can be off sometimes but he's, I have sometime agreed with him, but when I disagreed, hmmm, it's a tough one...good luck on that one. As for Eko ile and Dayokanu, what a waste of space. Whoever votes the Dayokanu should expect blind leading the blind , more so, everything he does will be "retardeen"... cry cry cry cry

ifyalways: Chief Negro!

Dayo don do ojoro . . . Or he got his concubines and gaay partners vote for him. Lolz

If only you knew Dayo very well, you'd be lucky to be counted as one of his concubines. I can guarantee that you'll abandon all your Okoro joysticks for his pleasurable possession. And don't mistake me for one of his gaay partners, It's an observation from very close quarters!

DayoKanu all the way! I know him very well and our association pre-dates NL. His intellectual capability and political sagacity is not in doubt. The fact that some other ethnic bigots are already getting jittery over his nomination is another pointer to the fact that he understands this terrain more than many others.

Jarus is another good option but he is a bit liberal. I know he doesn't like to be seen as a bigot. But we need a warrior-king not a philosopher-king. That he is from Kwara is not a minus for him, we have had people like Ayo Opadokun, Cornelius Adebayo etc. as leaders at one time or another.

Negro_tns comes next. He is intelligent and witty. He has all the time in this world to champion the Yoruba nay black race.

Katsumoto once admitted he is not Yoruba. I would not want people of dubious ancestry in charge of our destiny.

Alj_harem is also not sure of who he is. One minute, he is Awori, next he is Hausa. We don't want Amulumala people as Yoruba leaders.

Ekt_bear has everything to lead the Yoruba people. Would it not be interesting to have someone from our intellectual power base as our leader? But this man from Ekiti has decided not to participate. A great loss, no doubt!

Where are the Jakumos, Gbawes, Bluetooths, Demdems etc

As for the leader, Gbawe or Katsumoto would be ideal.

Aare Ona kakanfo should either go to Bluetooth, Seanet or Dayokanu.

This thread should be kept alive to vote for our Asiwaju while the other by tenisuga should stay active for the Aare. We shouldn't make this thread redundant as the positions up for nominations are different. We have this to nominate our leader and the other to nominate our general.

Av seen him alone in a thread fighting off liars and deceivers.

a monotonous dunce you mean? dayolodo ve nothing to offer apart from daft repetition of Retardeen and Igbo.he is a complete waste of space, Negro nts, Gbawe, Jarus and Katsumoto is well suited for the job.
