Its a shame on GEJ's administration. The death of two professors in a pre-mediated and avoidable attack! Its a great waste on our resources. In saner climes, their human resources are given so much protection while its the opposite here in Nigeria. I could sadly recall how some corps members were murdered by some idiots around this time last year. The children that we refused to train has killed the one that we trained again!!!

Guys we should stand up and do something rather than us bickering faceless behind Nairaland
web-site,it is time for us all of us Nigerians to champion a couse to stop this ugly madness.
The time has come, the hour is right for us the citizens of our great nation both home and abroad
to demand an end to these senseless killing of our people in the name of a religion or faith.
We all can channel our energy and anger into a resourceful and eventful use.

JaaizTech: Boko Haram is tearing Nigeria apart, Bros. GEJ act now declare state of emergency everywhere and anywhere Boko-Haram attacks. And make it clear that the only condition for return of democratically elected governors will be for peace to rain. That is the only way forward, state of emergency. If the politicians are stifled, then they will wake up and fight this fight themselves.
Declaring State of Emergency is not going to solve this or make any significant impact - speaking from happenings in those States where it has been put in place.

FACT- Killings have been going on in Maiduguri, virtually on a daily basis, many of which occur after the onset of the curfew. Up to the point there are no spaces in the morgues to keep the deceased.

This government has to do something proactive!

Let these northern leaders and former northern leaders who are sponsoring boko haram, and the illiterates they are using know that blood speaks. Every innocent blood they have shed will continue to speak against them, their land, families, children, generations unborn.

maasoap: It is either you're deluded just like the perpetrators of this act or you lack knowledge. Mohammed didn't send anybody or group to kill just like Jesus didn't send Anders Breivik to kill. Stop making error of generalization because this statement of yours clearly shows that I'm better as a Muslim than you as a ....................
Bro, you're getting wrong. The Anders Breivik that killed innocent people at the park, did so because he didnt want the spread of islam in his country, Norway. Is it not the same Norway that is prosecuting Breivik? Why is Norway not saying Islamic extremist bombed european tourists in Egypt, and as such, shield Breivik from prosecution? Osama was shielded in pakistan, why?
Though, i won't subscribe to generalisations, but you also shouldnt be callous to the human feelings that becomes emotional when hurt. That the 21st Century bombings seem to be coming from one particular religion out of the over 25 major religions of the world begs for sentiments, and most times, generalisation.
I believe its the work of the good muslims to FIGHT the evil ones among them, and not point accusatory fingers elsewhere.

Boko Haram is a very beautiful thing. Jst dat dia target is totally misdirected. They need to step up & intensify operations, but dis time dia target should simply be: POLITICIANs, PAST LEADERs, HIGH CHIEFs, HRHs, EMIRs, RELIGIOUS LEADERs, TOP GOVT FUCKTIONARIES, HEAD OF PARASTATALS etc. I cant imagine d kind of joy it wil giv real nigerians to watch d national assembly up in smoke on NTA. A house purely dedicated to d robbing n rubbishing of d name of dis country. Take it or leave it, d only way to salvage dis country is by VIOLENCE n more VIOLENCE targetting only d leaders. It all started in 1967, it must go on, irrespective of who champions it, until those bandits learn hw to b dia brothers keepers. BOKO HARAM more GREASE to ur BOMBs!

Well, I think this Boko haram thing is happening because a Southerner and not a Northerner is the president. The big question is: how can we handle this? It is probably getting out of hand now. We need to watch it or else it may lead to ethnic/religion crisis in the country. One thing I am certain about is that pessants who perpetrate this evil have sponsors. Where do they get the know-how to make IED? Where are they getting weapons from? Who is funding them? Do you think if a northerner is in power this evil would still persist? I think we have to look inward, muster courage and fight with all tenacity this menace called Boko Haram. It is quite unfortunate!

Donbrig: Some Nigerians could be very very foolish. All those that voted for Jonathan and not PDP are as guilty as boko haram. Pls, we should wake up and learn that there is nothing wrong with Nigeria but PDP. They are the party drawing Nigerians go their early grave.. GEJ once said we should learn to cope with bomb blast, of course we are learning to cope. We must accept things the way they are till 2015 where we're going to have another chance to choose PDP the party of DEATH or a new party for change and more united Nigeria. For now, we will continue to lose innocent souls till we make the right choice in 2015.

Sorry, with all these going on, one ll certainly have no regret voting for GEJ.
If not for anything, voting for GEJ has really opened our eyes to mindset of the so called core north.

May the souls of the departed rest in peace as God strengthens their family.

This guys are just blood sucking demons and it is time Jonathan finds a way of securing life or give people the licence to secure themselves. If this guys are not cowards then they should come out and tell us why they have chosen this way of life.

Re: Prof Ayodele & Prof Andrew Leo Were Killed In BUK Attack by Nobody: 9:44pm On Apr 29, 2012
It's very sad. BH is clearly a northern Islamic sect bent on furthering their religion by attacking the FG and non-Muslims. This is clear when u see that NO mosque has ever been attacked by them. What is even more sobering is the general indifference from the Northern elites and the masses there. Not a single demonstration there condemning these attacks.

Even the so called pro democrats (ACN and CPC, who think they'll do abetter job) can't be bothered to organize rallies to protest this as they did over fuel subsidy removal.

The PDP FG govt is useless. Of course, they can't solve Islamist suicide bombing - no country has. But they can put pressure on the North by allowing each state to be in charge of it's own affairs including Policing. True federalism is the answer. State Police is GEJ's true solution to this crap. If all federal troops are withdrawn from there, the Northerners will fix this mess real quick. Every attack on a state policeman there would be an attack on a true indigene of that state and the people won't allow it.

But GEJ still believes in ONE NIGERIA as presently constituted, even when the Northerners by their actions don't.

Well said. These Boko apologists are using these attacks to rubbish GEJ's govt as if he's worse than IBB, Abacha, Shonekan, Obj, Yaradua. GEJ is not the brightest, and PDP ( like ACN and CPC) are useless but he's not worse than the bunch before him. It just shows how desperate the Northerners are for power.

They seem to miss the point that toppling GEJ's govt before his tenure finishes might mean the end of oil production in Niger Delta.
