IT IS TRUE THAT IF YOU HAVE WORK EXPERIENCE YOU DONT NEED SCHOOL CERTIFICATE. BUT SEE LINK BELOW FOR YOUR JOB CLASSIFICATION AS AN AUTO MECHANIC WHICH FALLS UNDER JOB ZONE THREE
http://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/49-3023.01#JobZone

Summary Report for:
49-3023.01 - Automotive Master Mechanics
Repair automobiles, trucks, buses, and other vehicles. Master mechanics repair virtually any part on the vehicle or specialize in the transmission system.

Sample of reported job titles: Automotive Technician, Mechanic, Automotive Service Technician, Auto Technician, Shop Foreman, Certified ASE Master Automotive Technician (Certified Automotive Service Excellence Master Automotive Technician), Master Technician, Automobile Technician, Master Automotive Technician, Truck Technician

Work Experience: If you are qualifying with work experience, you must have two years of experience in the last five years, in an occupation which, by U.S. Department of Labor definitions, requires at least two years of training or experience that is designated as Job Zone 4 or 5, classified in a Specific Vocational Preparation (SVP) rating of 7.0 or higher. The U.S. Department of Labor provides information on job duties, knowledge and skills, education and training, and other occupational characteristics at their website http://online.onetcenter.org/. The O*Net online database groups work experience into five "job zones." While many occupations are listed, only certain specified occupations qualify for the Diversity Visa Program.

If you do not have either the required education or qualifying work experience, you are not eligible to be issued a diversity visa. Only you, as the principal applicant, must meet this requirement. Your spouse and children do not have to meet this requirement. Do not continue with this application if you do not meet the qualifying education or work experience requirements explained above

@ Kemzone, sorry I need more explanation on this job zone stuff: If I am an auto mechanic for example, will I be give practicals during the interview or do I need to present some sort of certificates to proof that I am qualified as a mechanic? Which kind of certificate if any please? Will it be recognized at the embassy without questions? and lastly, do you think their automechanics require computer skills because that's what operates in most advanced countries. I know the now use the computer to diagnose problems in vehicles. So, please shed more light on what the Nigerian Mechanic needs to do to be given visa. Please, let's help someone!! @ Couragemandong, don't worry you don't need English, but Kemzone will help out as we are here to learn.
Sorry, just to add: I google youtube and listened to one consular officer speaking on this job zone stuff. He mentioned that although it is said 2 years work experience, but ultimately the work experience is tied to educational qualification. He said: you cannot have the job experience without the educational qualification. How true is this man?

To the whole house, I am not trying to crucify anyone with deficiencies in English Language. I suggest we correct with love and encouragement!! I am sorry if I have hurt you - Bussyme and rood boy, but please just note that our mother tongue in Nigeria, whether Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo or Pidgin is not recognized in U.S. I don't think you can go to U.S. and be talking about promoting your Nigerian mother tongue. Rather, if you speak French etc, it's a plus for you in the U.S.
Someone help us here: Please, do they have interpreters during the interview with CO. I thought the lingua franca in Nigeria is English and the CO's know this. I am not saying your English should be like that of Wole Soyinka, but if you are in an interview and the CO has to arm himself with "bullet proof" for every statement you make, do you think that will be to your advantage. Especially, if you say you are qualifying with education, he may doubt your result if you show him credit in English. You know exam malpractice is on the increase in this country.

Someone please guide me: Are there interpreters at the venue of interview for winners from Nigeria who can only speak Yoruba / Pidgin for example?
I guess there should be for special case like your referenced figure who care to compare his potential visa status with the dv winner in the state.

@Kemzone2003
i initially asked this question on the 2014DV Lottery thread but wasn't satisfied wif the reply...pls shed more light.

After going through the DV lottery instruction, i have a question to ask

14. NUMBER OF CHILDREN – Entries MUST include the name, date, and place of birth of your spouse and all living natural children. Entries must also include all living children legally adopted by you, and living step-children who are unmarried and under the age of 21 on the date of your electronic entry, even if you are no longer legally married to the child’s parent, and even if the spouse or child does not currently reside with you and/or will not immigrate with you. Note that married children and children 21 years or older are not eligible for the DV

the instruction says entry must include all children and later said children older than the age of 21 are not eligible..

i'd want someone to explain what the instruction mean to me.
does it mean that children older than 21 years of age are not eligible to apply under the parents and should not be listed?
