LadyF no go kill me ooo.. he nairalands for a living ....But op it is non of your business how someone decides to spend his or her time na, as long as he doesn't beg you for food or money. He may be a full time politician, you know those particular set that has lots of time for themselves.( the 8 yrs on 8yrs off kind of ones ) |
when i see a lot of comments on here i laugh at a lot of hypocrisies at the same time weep for my country. It is obvious it will take longer than expected to get to the promise land. |
please they should not "DAShUKI" our money ooo.. :-) :-) |
lolz... i wonder what federal appointment and government elective office job would be lolz... even Rodger Miller go dey learn work were the celebration dey. But seriously the only thing better than Govt job is owning your own company. |
ckmayoca:word bro.. Since the beginning of this Dasuki's case i have been waiting and hoping that he is brought to justice, but then i noticed every other persons being roped to Dasuki for crucification were people perceived to have worked against the Apc. I am not saying fighting corruption shouldn't be the case here but using corruption to fight your enemies or opponent is not cool at all. Lets take this example. A thief went to a bank, stole 10 million naira. He used the money to buy a car from a car dealer, a house from an estate agent and also paid for a business which he uses to sustain himself and also food to feed his family. When the thief is caught, it will be reasonable if you seize his car, his house and also his business with the food he has in the house. But when you arrest the car dealer, the estate agent, the owner of the business he bought, and also the food seller then you should be ready to arrest every other person in that communities even yourself the provider/ruler because somehow you will be roped into it. The moment President Buhari allowed his supporters to help crucify his enemies, he failed entirely because he knows that politics in Nigeria has never been about permanent enemies but permanent interest so therefore a lot of people he wouldn't want to touch will definitely be roped into the issue and as we have seen including himself. And since he has been roped to the Dasukigate he should do the needful which i doubt he will like an honourable man in a civilized country will do. Nb: i also expect a lot of people to be mentioned and investigated .. including politicians from pdp, apga, apc, pdp to apc decampee and vice versa, more t.v houses, newspapers and blog owners, even some paid e warriors on forums because lets us face the fact that money went far and wide. |
IbokUtoroh:Bros you said all. You cant compare South Africa with Nigeria because despite the lower number of population like my minister said you can never expect the same or higher outcome because in Nigeria a large number of the population has no job, how then do you plan to collect taxes from a large number of citizens without jobs or source of income. I think what the minister and mr President should be talking about is how to create a large number of jobs as promised during thier campaign there by creating wealth before you can talk of taxation. And if they are sincere and desperate to generate more revenue, i think Agriculture, mining, and even refineries should be thier first port of call there by creating the much awaited jobs and at the same time generate income for the country. |
for how long are we going to endure this set of politicians? same people over and over again with no tangible thing to offer the masses |
. |
this sure doesn't sound like a propaganda.. whatever killed this man we may not know but all this lady has been tweeting sure represent her pains and anger. She should go after the children with a good lawyer and human rights activist to get what she deserves if the whole thing is true.. I know they must have frustrated her earlier attempt to get justice in the past like every other powerful, rich and famous men out there. |
A lot of things still need to be addressed if this country must move forward. How can you stop a scheme as good as this just because it doesn't favour you? And one thing i have noticed on nairaland is that some people who sleep morning and night screaming thier political party or the name of one individual won't comment on a thread like this. This same people are the reason Nigeria is backward because they give voting in recycled politicians and leaders that won't move us forward. ![]() |
Is it not time the Nigerian Govt build new refineries so that all this marketers will stop hijacking our monies and holding the country to ransom?. The minister should make refineries his first assignment and life will be better for everyone. (except the thieves who keep stealing the country dry) |
This project would have been a relieve for people living in the lagos badagry axis.. but the problem with the project is that, since Julius berger was stripped of the road construction work and the whole project was given to CCECC, i noticed that the people in charge of the project (LASG and other finaciers) have been playing politics with this road. CCECC are known to be slow with thier projects because they allow politicians use them to steal money (same with MCC, Setraco etc) and this is one thing i know JB won't allow (same reason i felt they were stripped of the work) they would rather do the best to save thier image than compromise just to favour one politician or any body. My take is if the LASG really want that job completed in time, the road construction should be given back to JB and the rail should be continued by CCECC. This will force CCECC to be on thier toes just like what happened in the first faze of the work (from orile to mile 2) people around there know what i am talking about. |
Right move Mr President. This has been a major problem since i could remember, how can a construction company/multinational have 80 percent of thier staff coming from outside the country all in the name of expatriates. Most of them are not even qualified yet you see them up there as superior officers when we have more qualified graduates roaming around the companies as casual staff (visit companies like CCECC and you would understand what i am saying). If this is done then i must say that it will save Nigeria billions and it would create thousands of job for the youths. I just pray the President is serious with this one. |

This story is not complete. The writer or witness/source didn't say anything about the presence of a single army in this story. Now my question is how come the military men left the ammunitions at their duty post?.... I think the questioning should start from the military men that were suppose to be on guard. I have never seen a military man ( not even police men) leave their bullet at their duty post before, for every one of them account for their ammunitions assigned to them. The thing is not unless they were there, then abandoned thier guns for safety when the heat is too much on them, they all should be arrested for negligence and conspiracy with the unknown gun men. |
abagoro:I am sorry to say this but if you live in rivers state, then be truthful. We in rivers state all know why the election went the way it did, but i don't want to go into that. I also live in rivers state but i did not see anybody that was killed but that doesn't mean you would jail me for saying what i witnessed except you found me guilty is that not? what i am saying is whoever gave the order didn't wait for the final judgement before deciding who is right and who is wrong which is not the a picture of the democracy we are talking about. The right thing to do is wait for the final judgment, then with the conclusion, you know who is right and who should be tried for perjury and arrested or sentenced like you said thank you. |
abagoro:but you have to be found guilty first, am i right? what the news says doesn't entail that and trust me not to support anybody found guilty. The law is clear and should be followed. thank you |
am pretty much sure whoever it is that is behind the arrest is either being partial in this case supporter of the opposition or doesn't know the rule of law.. every witness say or explain whatever they have witnessed or thier own side of the story. i have never heard of witness being arrested in a democratic settings just because he is perceived to be a false witness, not even when the judgement is against him. I love to see democracy in Nigeria, but i must say this doesn't look like one. and pls fellow nairalanders that keep shouting wailing wailers just because they are perceived to be in the opposition need i remind you that not everybody on this forum is a politician or a die hard fan of one politician or the other. some of us just want a better Nigeria where everybody is happy so forgive us if we say the right things but it doesn't favour you or your preferred politician, we just want the best for the country. Thanks to you all including the mod's ishilove, lalasticala, etc and thanks to seun for this platform. |
even though the OP is seen as bias, a lot of people will still ignore the message which is the most important. but what do i know? (continues to sip my coffee) |
if this is true, this is what i simply call investigating journalism. SR even though are being selective in their news should please keep giving us news with fact and accurate reporting and not some junk information with a hundred 'sources said that' . kudos to SR for this and i pray they shouldn't be selective in helping the masses fight corruption. |
hypocrisy is when someone mentions/compare abacha with jonathan but fail to mention sir obasanjo, abdusalami, infact all other past leaders. the earlier nigerians face the truth about corruption the better for everybody. and besides all politicians are corrupt one way or the other and you can only say one is less corrupt or some of them work hard but its not an excuse #fact ... note i did not mention any bodies moniker/name o. so don't reply me pls |
is this a Government for the people or for APC ? :-/ irrespective of who voted for who as long as you are talking about a country everybody should be carried along. its time the Government face their job and stop party politics. and until the full list of ministers are confirmed nobody should blame the president or discredit him. And i hope and pray the president doesn't disappoint the country or any part of it. |
before election they will obey traffic light even allow everybody to pass first .. but immediately after they win, they care less about the traffic light, beat anybody that obstruct them and worst of all care less about the people they are meant to serve.. its time the wise, responsible and intelligent people come out to become governors and president only then will things like this stop |
whenever I open nairaland, I get really disappointed that a lot of people in Nigeria want good things to happen but fail to acknowledge the truth.. even though things like this is long overdue, they praise every little thing that a politician come out to talk or showcase just because they love and support them. Should a country that has spent billions of dollars on the power sector since the time of Obj be celebrating this or should they be celebrating something big in other sectors. :-/ .. and please I just want the best for my country and I think nobody should celebrate president Buhari yet :-/ I think its too early for that and I believe he knows. |
If this is a pure fiction, then nice write up.... But if its a real life story then there are a lot of lessons to be learnt from this story. I.e Even the perfect ones want to have a perfect partner, so why not work on being a near perfect human instead of searching for the perfect one ?.. Nice one at OP. |
Tonytonic: There is no phcn light in Asaba since december.d fake capital village.no roads and d studium is uncompleted for 8years now.God abeg give us Anioma state o.dis urhobo people done enslave Anioma people.with dem block head.d governor is a disgrace.d man a devil inshort.short Like devil and very close to hell fire.God will blow dem Like chaff bfor 2015.God will shake dis country and d wicked will b buried six feet under d earth.AmenI don't mean to offend you but the last time I was in delta state, I can recall the stadium is ongoing, the airport in asaba was on construction, asaba has better roads and less traffic (till you get to the onitsha brigde) so why are you painting it like you (the anioma people) are being maginalised Its people like you that bring us backward with comments like this.. Am not from delta but the few times have bEen there I enjoyed my stay more than I have in lagos where I have stayed (because of the hold up, and crowded environment) |
Looking at it from a perspective I think what he did will help a lot considering the fact that its not a pool for partying but a standard olympic pool for sports. If you go to most states apart from lagos(national stadium surulere) you won't find a standard olympic pool anywhere ( corrcect me if am wrong please and don't trow jibes at me if I made a mistake concerning these), the few that has come close like the uniport pool were rivers state atletes use for their practice, the uniben pool e.t.c belongs to the fedral govt( since the school belongs to them). My point is in nigeria, only few states have a standard olympic pool and if it continues like this how do you think the phelps of nigeria will come out ? Delta state is known to come first in most state games and I can recall its because they have a better training facility or better camping structure for their atletes, followed closely by lagos (national stadium surulere) and rivers state with the uniport facility they use.... Concerning the worst governor I think the Abia state gov and his eboyin state collegue is the worst ![]() |
There is nothing to fight about.... I wonder why nigerians keep killing each other because of greed? If the boundary commision do their survey as usual, they should declare the owner of the so called oil well and let peace return to the states involved.. |
YoursGEJ: Abi? I think say she suppose dey kirikiri after she kill person. So why is she walking around free? With elected position to boot for that matter. She killed someone by accident, she served her jail time and she is out.. Why not just comment without hating? It will do you more good. .. Back to the topic. If she wants to be a good leader she should avoid negative talks like this, it will do more harm than good to her ambition... And am surprised to hear mr ibu is not a member of the AGN, He should be part of it so they can all move the AGN forward. They have been in the industry for a long time, they know the in and out of it and should probably join heads to make it move forward.. Cause that industry is moving but is way backward. |
bruno419: I smell racism...wat of Adaeze yobo=Dº°˚˚˚°ºнaĦaнaº°˚˚˚°º=)) racism for top ten again?? igbaju to le lo fit e. Lolz. |
