premiumtimes: Reports reaching us indicate that a massive bomb blast has tore through the Rumuokoro part of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Details of the incident are still sketchy but residents around the area say the explosion was a result of a bomb planted in a commercial vehicle.

Two people are said to have died on the spot and several others injured. But that could not be independently verified at this point.

The police in the state could not be reached for comments. No one or group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
