yeah its possible.....4shared.com is a great source of free and paid apk files from play store....just search for the file and end it with .apk

enable usb debugging in settings»»»applications»»»»development then click on root once it is done it will ask to reboot your phone,click yes and your phone is rooted....you can unroot it with the same procedure
