I have been to the hospital several times because of this issue... antibiotics and antimalaria drugs have been given to him. To be precise I was at the hospital last week and antibiotics and antimalaria was given. I don tire to give a child food and clean from floor.(plus no help from anywhere)
Is there anyone that has experienced this?

Does he have cough? Could it be as a result of over feeding? As in he's full and you still try to get one last spoon in.
I ask because I had the same experience with my son and it was as a result of over feeding. Most times, I didn't want the food to waste! Funny though, because he'd end up wasting much more plus I had to clean up after too.

Wheat is made from wheat and rice from rice. I personally believe rice cereals are better to start with as they are gentler on the stomach, maybe after a month you can introduce wheat.

I think d rice based frisocream is more of carbohydrate&u knw wheat is highly proteinous&is also a good laxative (I noticed eating wheat makes me go 2toilet well).

I also noticed wheatbased frisocream makes babies full 4a longer tym than d ricebased so d child can stay 4-6hrs without bn hungry.U'l observe dat if u eat wheat as lunch,u can skip dinner.

Also they also hav different taste.

I don't think ur baby's rejectin d milk.s/he's rejectin feeding bottle so evenif u change d milk 2Cow&gate,ur LO might not take.Som babies are lik dat so I'l advise u try&continue wit breastfeeding.

2ndly; d psychology behind breastmilk flowing vry well is how much sleep u get.If. U sleep well,ur breast wil b full by d tym u wake up.Lik u said,ur baby doesn't sleep well at nyt so d stress alone is enuf 2prevent br*astmilk frm flowing well.
There're occasions were u tak lots of fluid,pap,kunu,tea&d rest but d br*astmilk won't stil flow because of lack of rest&sleep

blank: @Marygold, her sleepless night is caused by her sleeping during the day. Stop her from sleeping during the day. When she wants to sleep, start playing with her. Then put her to sleep earlier than you would normally do. Keep shifting her bedtime till you get the one that works for you.

I will advise you put her on a schedule so that she gets used to sleeping and eating at a particular time.

Then at nyt,use hot water (not burning hot o)&press d baby's body vry well(let d baby hav longer bath at nyt).Bath d baby frm 8/9pm so dat afta bath,wen LO starts sleeping;u serve DH dinner&jump 2sleep.

Also rub methylator around d navel (just incase its colic dat's worrying LO).D baby wil surely sleep well.

pls mothers, someone adviced me to go local and give him pap. i prepared it myself and made soybeans, groudnut and shrimps in powder form. which i added to the pap, but he's still not taking. He wants to eat the normal food we eats.

There're children who are Ajebutter while some ar Ajekpako.

As 4d pap,don't mix mix those shrimps&brothers&sisters at d 1st trial.
I started wit custard 2c if sh'l take whch sh did then I prepared pap was was adding milk alone then I progressed 2soyabeans.
I tried mixing it wit groundnut;sh rejected it then tried out crayfish&shrimps&sh refused so I settled 4just milk&soyabeans.

Back in d days,our mothers didn't really giv tin foods&we turned out well but nowadays,if our babies don't tak tin foods,we're not doing enuf

U can giv him d pap as breakfast&stil continue breastfeedin pls or if he's takin milk wit his feeder;continue dat too cos he needs a lot of milk (source of calcium)

This is a very interesting and encouraging thread.

I want to talk about Vaccination of newborns and children less than one year here.
Please ensure that your newborn baby gets all the recommended vaccines as soon as possible after birth and completes the recommended doses (usually upto 9 months)

Vaccination helps PREVENT some deadly diseases like TB, hepatitis, tetanus, whooping cough, meningitis, polio, measles etc in children. Most of the recommended vaccines are provided for free by the government but unfortunately they are not available in all health centers especially private health facilities.

Prevention is better than cure. These vaccine preventable diseases are deadly and very expensive to treat. Some leave the child with permanent disabilities even after treatment.

Let us ensure that all new born children in Nigeria are vaccinated at birth or within the first week of birth.

I think u shld try expressing milk so dat u can assertain how much he actually's taking in.If u express 120mls&he finishes it then u watch how long it takes him 2get hungry again.
Just experiment cos 3hrs straight is a damn long tym mehnnn.
