bsoda: Hello everyone! Been a while. Compliments of the season. Please, a question. My 3 month old doesn't poop often. I mean like he goes once every 8-9 days. Is this normal? His tummy isn't hard. It doesn't ache him either cos he does not cry. I've tried stopping dairy products but no change o. He's exclusively breastfed. This started from when he was about 6 weeks. But he has a lot of wet diapers though. Pls o any advice will be highly welcome Hiya Bsoda,my baby did exactly d same thing, just let him be,hez trying to add weight as someone just mentioned,d only time u shud try d cottonbud method is when he hasn't pooed for bout 7-8days,and when he farts and its really smelly, then ud know dt hez bout to poop,u cud help him along then. The reason he didn't poop when u tried d cottonbud method was cos he had nothing to give at d time |

Mamas in d house pls I need ur help o. Since I gave birth to my son 5 weeks ago,I ve been passing thru pain when breast feeding. My nipple hurts so bad and while breasting on one breast,I would be having shooting pain on the nipple N areola of d oda breast. I thought d pain will subside few days after delivery but its getting worse. Help! |
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by bsoda: 4:39am On Dec 14, 2013 |
@switayi sorry about that. Well, your baby is probably not latched on to ur breast properly. U have to try & make sure his mouth is opened wide (by rubbing ur nipple up & down on his lips), then put all d nipple & most of d aureole in. If not u might end up having painful sores on ur nipples. Most people say to have sore nipples is normal. But it isn't. If ur baby is properly latched on, u won't have problems. But better still, complain to ur doctor. That's what they're there for. 1 Like |

@Udoka,Some babies don't know their stomach gauge. My second baby loves to spend quality time on bosom,i remove him when I think he should be full. Most ll start nibbling on the tips when they are full. |
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by udoka2: 5:52pm On Dec 14, 2013 |
ThAnk you byvan, when I remove him he starts crying even when he is nibbling. He sucks whenever he is awake, no play time, either crying, sucking or sleeping. You need to see him fighting with me when I remove brea.st from his mouth at just 11day old. It wonders me. |

Your children will learn English, whether it is being spoken to them or not, thats where the school comes in.You definitely cannot deny the little girl her native language as that ll be abuse of the highest order.Children are capable of learning as many language as you can speak to them.Let the little girl be or send her home and cater for your kids alone. 3 Likes |

In fact, dont let her speak English to them cos her English will be very bad and will spoil their English. Children can learn as many languages as you teach them. The only thing may be that they may not start speaking on time but they will eventually learn English. In fact, speak better than the Queen. |
