Why do you need an Antivirus for your phone? Even if you do use one, it would require internet connection to update its database on a regular undecided

Hi all im trying to make a goldcard for a soft bricked HTC desire i found in the house.

I thought i had a old goldcard done.

revskills.de is down

the phone is not going past hboot and fastboot. im just having the start up loop of the brand logo.

i cant even go into recovery option via the bootloader.

if i select recovery it starts the loop again. just showing the 02 start up screen and vibrating.

its not s-off, it is a branded HTC Desire

i have downloaded the RUU for the network CID - O2___1, which is o2 uk.

but i think i need a goldcard or so.

I extracted the rom.zip from the RUU, placed it in an SD card and reboot the phone. When it gets to Radio V2 - PU failed

Any ideas?

Greenify will help with the apps running on the background and it uses less ram.. I don't believe there are viruses and its llikes on android but bugs and ad intrusive softwares but if you must install, go for AVG mobile security antivirus or Dr Web antivirus.. Just my 2 cent.. You could hit ignore and wait for leopantro if you satisfied with the answer. Peace brother

to configure go to "settings"....."wireless and networks"...."mobile networks"....."Access point names". since it hasn't been configured there will be nothing there. press the option button on your phone and select "new APN". set "Name" as Etisalat". set "APN" as "Etisalat" also.....press your option button again and save. After this you can select and start browsing.

HOW TO RUN USERSCRIPTS ON AN ANDROID

Scripts are like firefox and chrome add-ons that give the user enhance functions in your browser. They have various unique functions, some nice and some downright wicked and awesome capabilities, like getting 500 followers on twitter, bla bla.

The thought of using add-ons on android came to me when I recently installed firefox on my android. Firefox is known for the many wonderful add-ons or plugins. However the android version has very limited plugins with low functionality.

Then I remembered Greasemonkey. if you don’t know what it is google it.

I recall using the android version called tampermonkey about two years ago but it had very limited plug-ins.
Did a very extensive research and found that there was very limited information on this topic. So I’m proud to be the first to bring this to you.

WHAT YOU NEED
1. Opera Mobile lab Extension version 12 ; the current opera mobile in the play store is ver 12 and does not have the capability of using widgets.it's only in ver 12 series that you can get that capability. Opera mini CAN use widgets but only the OPERA MINI FOR VODAFONE. You can get the APK from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580803
http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDownload/Opera-Mobile-Android-Download-110085.html

2. Violent Monkey widget

3. Userscript.org

Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by Leopantro: 9:32pm On Jun 21, 2013
PROCEDURE
1. Download and install the apk. Click the red circle at the bottom right. You will see a new panel called “Extensions” below the “Find in Page” panel.
2. This is important. Click on settings, put on single column view and select zoom at 150%
3. Goto https://addons.opera.com/en/
4. In the search box at the top of the page type VIOLENT MONKEY and search. Click on the result. You would see a notice saying “if you want to use this extension you need to download the latest version of opera browser.”
5. Ignore the notice and click “add to opera”. A popup would appear asking if you want to install the extension. Select yes. YOU MUST WAIT AND MAKE SURE IT SAYS THE VIOLENT MONKEY EXTENSION WAS SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED. Click OK.
6. Scroll back to the top of the page. You would see a new icon below the url title bar.
7. Click on the icon and a new tab would open containing the options MANAGE SCRIPTS and SCRIPT ENABLED. Click on MANAGE SCRIPTS and the OPTION MENU would show up.
8. So far so good. remove single column view. Close all tabs. Now the fun begins.
9. Search for a script on userscript.org. they have thousands of scripts with various functions. I will give an example.
10. GOOGLE AUTO PAGER. Normally, when you search on Google and get to the end of the page, you have to click on number 2 to go to the next page. With this script, when you get to the end of the page the script adds the next page below your current page so you just keep on scrolling down.
11. To install it, search for GOOGLE AUTO PAGER SCRIPT on Google or userscript.org. Get to the page and click on INSTALL button. a popup message will ask if you want to install the script. Click Okay and immediately zoom out. Watch the page; a yellow tiny SCRIPT INSTALL message will show. It’s very easy to miss.
12. Now, activate single column view in settings, click on the violent monkey icon at the top, then click on manage scripts. The script you just installed should be there. If it’s not there repeat step 10 and 11.
13. Now close opera mobile then open it. search for something using the Google search box And Scroll down. You would notice a yellow thing line that follows you down. when you get to the end of the page the next page shows up. you must be online

Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by Leopantro: 10:03pm On Jun 21, 2013
CAUTION
1. Some extensions are data intensive and Opera Mobile is heavy on data when compared to opera mini
2. be careful of the scripts you install. some are malicious codes that can cause havoc or steal important data. check the reviews before install.

Here is a list of scripts i have been using for a while.
1. GREASED LIGHTBOX : Displays linked images at full size in a lightbox when you click on them. its very nice. just search for any thing using google image then click on the image

2. LINKIFY TING: converts address text into a link

3. PKBLOGS; Access blogger blogs in banned countries

4. YOUSABLE TUBEFIX; removes ads on youtube, allows downloading and resizing videos, change defaault video quality, remove buffers, JUST DO ANYTHING WITH YOUTUBE VIDEOS

5. NESTED TWITTER: displays twitter conversation as threads so you can follow a twitter user twits without leaving the page

6. BUG ME NOT: THE BEST. can quickly bypass the login of websites that require compulsory registration and/or the collection of demographic information. has over 486032 sites in its database. i used it on nairaland and shouted DDAAYYYUUMMMM.

you can search google for more wonderful scripts to use. came across an opera widget launcher that might make the process easier but working on it.let's keep pushing the boundary of android OS
