For your 1999 Accord, you better stick with ATF-Z1, it`s made for older Hondas, but from what your said your gear three is bad and since you`ve repaired it once, you might think of replacement.

Do u have thr ATF-Z1? and how much is it?

Hi every one, my Honda Accord 2001 model is low (doesn't have enough clearance) and I want to lift it. Can I get an advice on the best possible method to do that? Also when I want to mk a sharp movement from rest position it vibrates while changing from gear one to two, does dis happen in every baby boy? Noticed a similar thing in my colleague's Mazda.

hi all, i use a honda hala ( manual). I am having issues with the AC. Each time i fill AC, it does not last at all. I took it to a nearby AC technician and he could not find anytin ( though i suspected a leak ). I again filled the AC, and yet again, it did not last. I again took it to another AC technican and he too said that there was no leak. Please house, what could possibly be the issue ? has anybody ever experienced such ?

Thanks, Would do that ASAP. Another issue has popped up. It has to do with the central lock. I recently noticed that the battery has being running down every morning. It was the security guard that later informed me that he is always hearing a continuous clicking sound from the car at night. The sound continues for a while, stops and comes again after a while, hence it comes and goes continuously. On checking out what he told me, i found out that the clicking sound he was referring to was the central lock, and this apparently drains the battery. And this clicking sound does come up during the day when I lock the car, though it lasts for like 25seconds. What do you advice i do, do i disconnect the central lock permanently ( How do I go about that ) ? or is it an issue that can be fixed by a re-wire ?. As a remainder, i drive a honda bullet ( manual) 2002 model.

Pls., I've been considering going for an EOD ('04 or '05 model), but with people saying the car isn't friendly with floods as the ECU is located below the engine, I'd like to know what level of water it can handle without damaging the ECU & does flood have effect on it if u simply drive through or if the car is parked for a while in a water logged area? (The Mazda 626 GF (99/00 model) currently driven handles flood without any problem so far)
I am in Rivers state and most of our roads here are usually flooded whenever it rains so I need info. Thanks.

Hi all great thread,

I recently acquired a honda accord 98 model (baby boy) and while its great I've noticed that once I switch off the ignition the fan on the radiator continues spinning for like 3-5 seconds. Is this normal for honda products? I used to drive a benz and never experienced such.
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by luvinhubby(m): 7:07pm On Dec 11, 2012
The more recent Honda cars has a more higher position for the braimbox & the interior of the car has to be entirely flooded to affect the brainbox. If your car gets flooded, don't try to starting it, get the brainbox removed, cleaned & replaced.

Check if the fan starts immediately with engine in the morning, if not so then it works wit thermostat & u have no cause for alarm.

Hi nlanders. I've got a manual transmission 2006 honda Eod, the issue with it is dat when the engine is quite hot and has been running for a while, the vehicle won't move past 20kmph, no matter how much I depress the pedal... It won't rev, however when I depress the clutch, the rev would start working again. (Point of it all is that it doesn't move when on gear) what can I do. And also there is this rubber sound dat the vehicle makes when it enters into a bump or sumfin, wat could be the problem..
