I dey thread with caution with my own and so far, N3 is the most efficient and productive phone I have used.
Currently enjoying Dungeon Village hd game.
NB: N3 is my first Android phone.

Install the POOT app into internal/phone memory. Ministro and root checker into the external memory/mmc.
Persistance and patience are the keys to rooting.

primeson1: All d tecno shops i visited yesterday in computer village dnt av d N7, so i settled for LG optimus L5(E615) dual sim, even though am using 1 sim. Am loving d fon already (4.0 inch screen). I bot it for 28k. I ws told SE Neo V is no mor in d mkt. Dis is ma 1st smartfone, pls how do i reduce data consumption and how can i get all dese HD games, am using airtel BIS. ....yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh android.

For the hd games, arrange a meeeting with either brainrex or hollaslyd since the three of you seems to be in Lagos areas.
For data consumption, goto manage applications menu and stop all unnecessary self updating apps. Or stop/start all data connections by going through wireless and networks connection menu anytime you want.
BTW: The beauty of Android phones and most apps is constant unlimited internet connection.

Yes, apps will be installed in any location you choose; whether internal or mem card.

HOLLASLYD: u got 512 already it can run HD games already. the ram boost will serve now as over multitasking, u can have up to 10 app running without closing. ie u can now minimize a game, do whatever pleases u and come back to it without it closing

Yea, the 512 comfortably run all the HD games I have already without lag and supports multitasking. I just want to experiment with RAM expansion so that when it becomes neccessary I won't be found wanting.

matrixme: I had to dispose my BB to get this phone after taking time to study this particular thread. I have never had a cause to regret the decision ever since. Let BB users keep changing their Dp's there, while the mobile world passes them by. (they have my pity anyway) To those of you still thinking if you should get this phone or not, if you can't change your mind, then you cannot change anything! If you are not the type that gets enslaved by other people's opinion, then you should reason that alot of people cannot be wrong about this particular phone. It's the 'in' thing now... About this rooting thing, I'll rather let someone with experience get it done for me. Seems like I deleted the 2go that came pre-installed on it and I have problem goggling that out. I'll appreciate any help from the (TECHNO) android einsteins around. Thanks

Guy, goto File explorer, then AKPS and you wil see all the default apps that came with your device. Install your 2go from there.
About rooting, check previous post by brainrex or visit his blog.

HOLLASLYD: install free busybox installer from playstore. run it. when it says access denied, goto superuser and delete the permission on busybox. run it again and install busybox into ya device. on success, exit and run ramexpander and enjoy.

download the 3 attachement its just one software. use winrar to unpack
install, click on optimal value to assign a recommended upgrade of ram. mine gave me 474mb and a swap of 50. i pushed mine to 658mb and a swap of 90.
NOTE u can go as far as 3gb of ram so far as u got enough space on ya sd card. use original sd card to do this. u can use the factory tecno sd card aswell bear in mind it will lag a bit but will still give u performance. the 8gb tecno sd card has a write speed of 3mb/s while 6mb/s is recommended to serve as ram. i used an original samsung 16gb and got 7mb/s write speed in my case. pls do this only when u wanna play games and undo during phone use. leaving it on will give u enough multitasking and performance at the cost of ur sd card lifespan.

Goto ''Running Applications'' to see your Ram allocations, used and unused Ram.
