Well we can never be certain of the actual figure of corrupt Countries.Most Countries like the United States hide under the premise of fighting wars or the likes.

I understand you perfectly well.I don't agree with the 85% rating.
Nigerians in Diaspora one thing i know they do is they lie a lot about what they do for a living.They never tell their people back home what their real status is.
Most Nigerians that work in club toilets for instance tell people back home that they are accountants,doctors e.t.c My thing is if you are proud of what you
do why hide it from people back home?

I agree with the poster. A lot us Nigerians are mentally lazy! It does not matter whether in Naija or in the diaspora. We expect too much from our leaders/government as if government is not peopled by just as clueless folks as the average Nigerian. A look at developed nations shows that their development was driven by the private initiative and enterprise of its citizens and NOT by the government.

Our development problems will be solved if each of us individually put our brains to work to implement solutions and not waiting for some utopian leader to wave some magic wand and turn our land into an el dorado.

I beg to differ on that point.I am not in Nigeria at the moment but i can boldly say that what Nigeria is today the innovations and technology we enjoying in that Country today was spearheaded by the Nigerians back home.Nigerians back home though  most of them are corrupt are doing their best for the Country.

The poster has a valid point in that NID don't want to do anything to make the Country a better place for all.China is the world superpower today because they believe so much in their Country.It is so hard to see a Chinese man without any investment in China.Some Nigerians abroad believe Nigeria is a living hell and do not want to be associated with the Country in anyway.If we all run away from Nigeria saying the Country can never rise.My question becomes who will be there to make Nigeria a living paradise for our children when we leave this world?I believe we in Diaspora can contribute immensely to the development of Nigeria.
