EMPLOYMENTS INTO OUR PUBLIC SERVICE.
An attempt to simplify the raw stats/
(A). EMPLOYMENT INTO THE PUBLIC SERVICE
1. NE Population 19.0m PS - 7,793
2. NW Population 35.8m PS - 8,806
3. SE Population 16.4m - 16,540
4. NC Population 20.3m PS- 17,661
5. SS Population 21.0m PS -18,038
6. SW Population 27.6m - 19,620
To appreciate these figures, it is necessary to
find out how many employees are taken from
every 1 million people in each of the geographical zones.
The result is:
1.SE has 1,009 Employees per million
2. NC has 970 Employees per million.
3. SS has 859 Employees per million.
4. SW has 711 Employees per million.
5. NE has 410 Employees per million.
6. NW has 246 Employees per million.
Here one can see that SE Zone has
over 1000 people engaged in the public service
of Nigeria in every 1 million Igbo people
whereas only 246 people are engaged in NW. Remember that this is the Zone of the
President of Nigeria. Curiously SW, the
Zone of the Vice President is the least in
Southern Nigeria with the employment of 711
people in a million.
It is pertinent to see the trend as regards
Political Office holders. Probably, those that
lost out in the Public Service, are compensated
with Political offices. Let's perform sample
surgical operation on the political employees.
(B). POLITICAL APPOINTEES.
We all have the statistics of political appointees
of the current Buhari administration.
1. NW has 51 political appointees from 7 states
2. NC has 47 political appointees from 6 states.
3.NE has 45 political appointees from 6 states
4. SW has 45 political appointees from 6 states
5. SS has 45 political appointees from 6 States.
6. has 41 political appointees from 5 states.
This translates to:
1st. SE: 2.50 appointees in a million.
2nd. NE: 2.37 appointees in a million.
3rd. NC: 2.34 appointees in a million.
4th. SS: 2.14 appointees in a million.
5th. SW:1.63 appointees in a million.
6th. NW:1.42 appointees in a million.
Alternatively
1st. SE: has 1 appointee in every 400,000.
2nd. NE: has 1 appointee in every 422,000.
3rd. NC: has 1 appointee in every 427,000.
4th. SS: has 1 appointee in every 467,000.
5th. SW: has 1 appointee in every 614,000.
6th. NW: has 1 appointee in every 704,000.
Once again topping the list of Beneficiary is
South East with one political appointee for
every 400,000 people.
As if it is an intentional act, NW, from whence
the President hails has the least of 1 political
appointees for every 704, 000 people while the
figure for Osinbajo's Zone is 614,000 and is the
least in the South.
THIS IS NOT MY DEFINITION OF
"MARGINALIZATION" BEING PEDDLED BY SOME NIGERIANS. TRHAT INFACT THE
IGBOS ARE THE BIGGEST
BENEFICIARIES GOVERNMENT EMPLOYMENT IN NIGERIA.

I got a first hand information that the just concluded NLNG recruitment had to lower the bar for northern graduates to about half the proposed recruitment cut off.

Any Niger deltan who keeps on supporting one nigeria or against true federalism is a compound fool who should be thrown out the door..

Can you imagine many qualified candidates were rejected because of the quota system crap and more so in exchange For candidates who scored lower than required by the company

I am of Yoruba Origin, My mother and and father are from Yoruba Land ,Here on Nairaland Yoruba are mostly referred to as Afonja ,either in an Abusive way or not that is not my concern at all .I decided to let people know the ethnic part I belongs to so as to clear everyone's mind as a Non Igbo person ,having it in mind at the same time that anyone that must write or speak in favour of Biafra Agitation must be Igbo or anyone writing or speaking against it must be either a Yoruba or an Hausa person .Please let us keep Sentiment apart ,Let us face the reality,I know no matter how Objective and clear I sound ,Sentiments mentality ,Ethnic Rivalry and tribalistics comments has taken over the body ,soul and spirit of some here ,Nevertheless I still hope there are people with better reasoning with Objective and No side taking comments here .In a nutshell The call for a Referendum to me is not Terrorism ,War Moves ,Its a Non Violent Request ,I do not see anything wrong about this .Why is The Federal Govenrnmnet not given ears to this rather than saying Nigeria is Non Negotiable ,which Nigeria ? Who gave birth to Nigeria ,Who are the Representatives of the Nigerian people that came to a round table to bring about the birth of Nigeria ,One person is never WE ,A referendum (plural referendums, see below) is a direct vote in which an entire electorate is asked to vote on a particular proposal. This may result in the adoption of a new law. In some countries, it is synonymous with a plebiscite or a vote on a ballot question.

I watched /listened to alot of videos/audios during the radio biafra era, I observed the keen interests the uneducated ones in the south east and south south paid to those messages. I, like many other igbos assumed this is noise and should be ignored, yet we didn't understand that in a disenfranchised people, seeds of hate, discord and propaganda are easily sown to good effect. sooner than we knew it, the social media sphere was overtaken with hateful igbos who abused and threatened death on their neighbours, propaganda messages of perceived crimes and hurt by the northern and western groups and while as usual people like me assumed these miscreants aren't the respectable and hard working igbos business men scattered across the world, events from that period till now have proven that Ndi igbo have suddenly lost their senses.

igbo people. have suffered in Nigeria, take a trip across igbo land and observe how much suffering exists there. no meaningful trade value (local industries or multinationals), absence of federal presence, marginalization on federal appointments, contracts and allocation. these are very very true and it's not surprising the glut of unhappy faces which greets a visitor to a typical igbo village. many thrre haven't seen the good life, the good life can only buy exist outside igbo land. infact it clear that when something comes, the igbo man will be excluded on purpose for reasons known to the north and west. this has created a deep seated hatred and it's no surprise the IPOB has found able bodied men (educated and uneducated) to do their biddings with the false hope that all their disenfranchisement will be solved by a new nation.

the old biafra didn't fail only militarily (read your history) it also failed within. biafra failed weeks after is announcement and it's internal squabbles led to its military demise. this all points out that even a noble idea such as biafra could fail if not founded on sound principles. look at the IPOB biafran agenda, a biafran country without defined members, a country without good relations with its soon to be neighbours, a country whose elite are silent while the pawns are at the forefront. a country whose major supporters are either with British passports (Kanu) or based outside the south east or Nigeria. it must be pointed out that majority of these people have no stake (meaningful business) in the entire igbo land.

a question to the IPOB based biafran supporters I ask is this,
since Nigeria existed especially post military era, have we had governors, senators and reps who were igbo or not?

did these people receive their allocations or not ?

where are these monies or infrastructure ?

where these governors been yoruba Muslims or Fulani?

was there any time another tribe stopped igbo land from having state based development even though federal government disenfranchised us.

what are the states of the state roads, local govt roads, state infrastructure etc yet for these years allocations were received freely from the criminal model of damaging the Niger delta for the good of others.

biafra has always existed in every state and every local govt. because every state is homogeneous in its govt structure very similar to what the biafran model preaches. yet what have we to show for it.

igbos invested heavily nationwide and today are the back bone of development everywhere, how come many didn't look towards home and repartiete this money if at all. there was a consciousness towards a future country. how come abia state the home state of Nnamdi Kanu is a failed state, destroyed by igbo men who regularly received billions of naira in federal allocation. even during the boom years of president Jonathan. yet we have refused to see that the problem lies in the Nigerian in each and everyone of us and not our tribes.

ndi-igbo need orientation, we need to look towards home and develop our region, we must pursue investments in our region and fight vehemently against bad leaders such as okorocha and orji etc who have proved to be bad leaders time and time again. we can't be lions outside our region and cats within it. igbo must unite and fight for the development of our region via pro igbo development agenda. the federal govt didn't develop any region, we igbos did that via Personal efforts. govt only built roads which didn't even last. trade was facilitated by us, industries were facilitated by us, good housing scheme were facilitated by us and because we are generally peaceful people, we can always attract forgein investment.

a homogeneous country called biafra isn't a solution, a country with Yorubas and hausa as enemies isn't the solution. a strong igbo development initiative which encourages every igbo person outside igbo land to look towards our own region and contribute towards it's development should be our primary interest.

Nnamdi Kanu has nothing to offer asides hate, propaganda and discord. he is focusing on hate and revenge than focusing on how to better the lives of Ndi igbo and it's region.

Its is obvious with the look of the things that Arewa has gone into alliance with people from the south east and south south against the Yoruba's. The sudden recent consistent outburst by the so called Arewa youths against the yoruba and the friendship between the North led by Al-mustapha and the East led by Nwazurike has pointed to that fact.

Also, the moves by the South-east and South-south governors to forge alliance is obviously to tackle the south-west. This and many more moves is an indication to that effect, It is REAL!. We the Yoruba should guide our loins and take heed, they have done it before and fail and they will also failed now, We'll achieve it with no violence.
