Just a note: This sort of mockery of the conversation is disrespectful - not to me - but to the very ideas being discussed.
PS: I saw you mention somewhere "scientific" investigations or so, of the multiverse. There is no such thing because science is based on observation and no one has, and no one can, observe any such "multiverse."

Words like "multiverse" sit well with you - as unobservable as any such thing is, as purely hypothetical as it is. And yet you get furious when someone says there must be a timeline and space outside this universe. Weird.
There are tons of things and phenomena that can't be observed directly in nature. Yet we know they exist because we can observe the effects of their existence on matter or waves.

Examples of such are the ghostly neutrino particles, electron, proton, positron, and several other subatomic particles.

100 years ago, micro-organisms were not observable. Today, they're.

In the same vein, I predict in the future, scientists will discover the evidence for the existence of another universe (through the effects of the other universe on ours) or the multiverse.

Personally, I agree with OtemAtum who says that time and space only exist within the Universe not outside of it (i.e. the Universe doesn't occupy space), that multiple universes exist, and that another universe existed before ours like physicists such as Roger Penrose also says.

If you can't observe something, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Christianity Etc › Re: Agnosticism by A001:
These days, this sort of argument looks boring to me.

Any discussion or debate on the origin or source of existence is more or less based on speculation, philosophy, and metaphysics since there has been no scientific breakthroughs in the endeavor to know the source of all things in existence.

The more one delves into certain aspects of Physics, the more one realizes our ignorance of our "tiny" planet Earth and the unimaginably large Universe.

That's why I think the best and most honest answer to the question, "What's the origin of existence?", is "it's unknown".

Hence, the agnostic position, in its basic form, is the best.

Any other thing apart from this is mostly speculative, though I must say some approaches to the question of our source of existence such as Otemic or Atumic approach have a lot of depth.

IMO, that could be the correct (or close to the correct) answer.

I said so because that approach captures the concepts of first cause and nothing (something arising ex nihilo).

In particular, the Otemic approach postulates that in some realms of existence, time doesn't exist, which is scientifically plausible.

That establishes that the first cause has no cause.

Still, this is purely philosophical, and with time, I believe scientists will make breakthroughs in these areas (though it may not be in this lifetime).

I won't be surprised if she's also supporting BAT. She dey mention Nigerians and intelligence in the same sentence, lols, when Africa, the backward continent, has the largest concentration of stupid people on Earth.

The earlier we shift our hope away from getting to the top 4 this season the better for us, let us begin to pray if we get any favorable achievement in UCL, with the performance of Newcastle this season, anybody that thinks they will drop out from the top 4 has lost touch with reality, Newcastle is the only team that lost just one game this season after playing 20 games, and they are the only team that conceded the least number of goals, top 4 this season is over.
18 games are left. This is mid-season. So top 4 is still possible.

An educating thread: https://www.nairaland.com/7530509/how-african-christian-parents-teach

Those obsessed with Otem can start their attack again. Show the African in you by behaving foolishly.

Only the most stupid Africans attack people like Otem that should be celebrated by any Africans with a working brain.

They're so religious and holy yet so corrupt.

Yesterday, as I was doing some activities outside the house, I thought: "You can't leave your phone on the stool outside where there are religious people around and meet it where you left it."

Nigeria is a classic proof of the uselessness of religion for humanity. Practicing a religion doesn't make one a better human but a slave.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 5:55am On Jan 23, 2023
Before the whites and Arabs invaded Africa, our forefathers had their own God concept in various cultures and traditions.

But today, most Africans being foolish and mentally weak embraced the God concept of their slave masters and colonial masters (the whites and Arabs) and demonize the indigenous belief systems.

Most people here would spend their whole life being slaves and believing a lie. Better to adopt the African traditional beliefs instead of being slaves to the whites and Arabs by adopting their own traditional beliefs thereby promoting the foreign nations that don't give a damn about you.

But the wisest thing is to become enlightened as an agnostic, atheist, or humanist who sees religion for what it really is: a tool of mind control for owning slaves.

To the foolish e-jihadists here and their Christian counterparts, including Donjazet2 who also denigrates the African cultures as barbaric while promoting the colonial masters' cultures:

#Copied from Facebook

I've been watching Bollywood movies since I was a toddler and I've never seen any scene where a western or Indain preacher that adopted the religion of the west walks into a village, goes to a Hindu temple, confronts the Hindu priests, battles the Hindu gods, wins, burns down the temple and converts the entire village to Christianity.

I've been watching Chinese movies too since like forever and I've never witnessed a scene like that in any of their movies. Instead their religions and cultures are vigorously promoted in their movies.

But 80% of our Nollywood movies with plots set during the colonial era and even modern times have scripts like this; scenes of African gods being defeated by the white man's god.
Does it mean that the white man's god is powerless against Lord Shiva, Brahma, Lord Krishna, Buddha, and all the Asian gods?

Is it only when matched against the black man's gods that the white man's god is on top form?

Let me tell you something: Religion is nothing but a war of cultural identity and superiority.

And Africa lost the war totally.

The Indians and the Chinese held their gates.
They rejected every aspect of colonialism that sought to tarnish and belittle their cultural heritage.

That's why they stand proud today. Very proud and confident.

That's why you'll never find such scenes in their movies. Instead they are always promoting their culture and gaining converts from the west in the process. Many whites go on religious pilgrimage to India and other Asian nations, but little or none comes to Africa.

That's why you and I will never see anything wrong with a samurai, ninjas, kong fu, tai chi, yoga and all the things we see in movies from the lands of the rising sun.

Heck, Most of us wanted to be ninjas after watching Five Elements of Ninja and American Ninja, as kids.

The fact that ninjas are historically soulless blood thirsty assassins used by Japanese emperors to inflict fear and death on rebellious provinces didn't even matter. We all loved them regardless.

But the very sight of a dibia in a Nollywood movie would send negative signals to our brains.

Why do we always portray our cultural heritage in a negative light?

Yes, they were crude and barbaric; evil even.
But which ancient culture wasn't?
Even the bible and Quran cultures you hold so dearly are no exceptions.

It's funny how a lot of Africans still believe the white man gave them Christianity to save their souls and bring them salvation.

I laugh in 400 years of black slavery and subjugation.

Given how the white man treated our ancestors, like animals, how on earth are you people able to convince yourselves that they gave a Bleep about the black man's soul.

We were animals without souls to them!

Don't you see that you're still slaves?

It's 2017, the white mans world is working on innovative ideas. But Nigerian Facebook is lit with arguments of church tithes and offering or how to speak in tongues.
Is this how we're going to be great?

I've said this before and I'll say it again.

"Slavery never left Africa. They just removed the chains from our bodies and bound our minds with them".

#Unanimous

At least, the good things so far are that we're out of all the other competitions, can focus on EPL and CL, James and Chilwell being back in training, made some good signings like Mudryk and Egbon Shile, and the upcoming two-week break.

With only 10 points separating us from Newcastle who sit third on the log, we can still make top four.

With the players available at his disposal, Potter has no excuse not to make top four this season.

After the brief hiatus, Chelsea should start winning games convincingly and consistently. We can do it 💪

APC dey put Nigeria through shege before the evil party gets kicked out next month. Power outages last for days now coupled with fuel hike and scarcity.

APC is showing Nigerians they made a grave mistake voting for them in 2015 and 2019. I'm sure Nigerians won't repeat that mistake next month except the mad ones.
