Poch isn't a bad coach. Unlike clowns like Potter and Lampard, he deserves to be given some time to get us back on track again.

However, given the humongous amount spent on securing the signatures of various players in the last transfer window, the least I'd expect from him this season is a top 4 finish in the EPL.

We mustn't miss out on UCL again next season. If he doesn't achieve this, then by the end of this season, I feel calls for his sack will be justified.

Enzo is a quality player. However, he needs to raise his game and play with more passion and drive.

A win against Brentford next Saturday in the EPL and Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup five days later will put us in a good shape when we face Tottenham in the EPL in early November.

Dis Tinubu sef go worse pass Buhari. When Nigerians were still recovering from the great suffering Buhari put them through, the cocaine lord removed the subsidy on petrol in such a callous and careless manner without any planning or preparation.

The were never even step a foot into office when he took the silly decision hurriedly. No money to pay fuel subsidy, but there's enough to sustain the lavish lifestyle of the ruling class, especially those lawmakers.

Then, their foot soldiers on Nairaland are ready to defend all sorts of nonsense from the politicians.

Anyway, the politicians aren't really the problem sha. It's the dumb ones that form the majority in the country, especially those corrupt people wey full the churches and mosques.

Empty brains

Things hard, things hard, FG is struggling to pay salaries. But Tinubu, the lawmakers, and the governors aren't doing anything to cut the cost of governance and reduce their humongous allowances.

It's business as usual for the political class. But some delusional people for Nairaland still dey expect things to get better for the masses.

If dollar hits 2000 naira by December or January, how much will it get to by the end of Tinubu's four years in office? Dem no know that one, but they're already calculating 8 years for BAT.

Even his first few months na F9. Complete failure. Hunger and suffering go teach many Nigerians a lesson never to vote for political aspirants along religious and tribal lines.

People go get sense one day

This is the prayer of the Muslims around the world during this period: Al-Qunut.

Lols, they are praying fervently daily for Allah to grant them victory against the disbelievers (the Israelites and non-Muslims generally) and for their god to make the whole of humanity Muslims, i.e. for the Arabs to capture the whole Earth and make it theirs.

Such a funny and ridiculous wish that will never become a reality on this planet.

Hopefully, the Israelites and Palestinians will stop their religious war soon so that it doesn't escalate further.

Lols, there are different ways religious people kill for their god. It's either they do so physically or render their target useless financially (economically) and socially by not allowing them to graduate from school on time or denying them jobs they qualify for.

For the Muslims, it's all jihad, which is a general term that means "to strive in the cause of Allah". People strive in the cause of Allah in different ways, and those in the North just do so using arms while their brothers in the South-West do so using other means.

It's all terrorism.

While I do understand your telling immigration your stand be be very wary of telling policemen especially when you're at their mercy. You'd never know if they're religious extremists or fundamentalists who believe killing you for your stand is doing their Lord's work
The guy may have just left religion not quite long so he may be naive. If a person just got a high-paying job or achieved any other significant milestone in life, if doesn't make sense to start announcing it to people anyhow.

It's the same way an atheist or agnostic living in Nigeria doesn't disclose his religious status to people anyhow. People, especially the religious ones in Nigeria, ruin good things.

The part where she said where are the other peaceful Muslims is the best part for me. Even if they are, they are not loud enough. Maybe an association like Muslims against jihadist, Muslim against terrorists (I don't know if there is any like this).
This will help show that they are not just peaceful Muslims but also agent for change in this deadly ideology that has killed so many.
An association of Muslims against Muslims or terrorists against terrorists would be a better name for this fictional organisation of yours.

Any Muslim that wants to campaign against terrorism and jihad would need to first disassociate themselves from Islam before sensible people can take such a person seriously.

How can you be campaigning against something, yet you still worship and revere its founders, Allah and Muhammad? It doesn't make sense now.

Anyone that has been a victim of religious extremism or terrorism in Nigeria would know all Muslims are terrorists.

Na when push comes to shove you'd realize that whether na fundamentalists in the North or the so-called moderates in the South-West like some hypocrites and noise makers on this thread, they're all the same.

In Yorubaland, the so-called moderate ones won't allow atheists and agnostics to graduate from school, give them jobs as employers of labor, allow them to marry their kids, and they even attack freethinkers offline and online.

How are all these different from their brothers that kill for Allah in the North? Same ni gbogbo won (they're all the same).

But Ethiopia and the other countries for Africa still dey carry religion for head like gala. The mumunis (imbes) can start drawing their false equivalence as usual by citing an example of people taking courses in foreign languages.

That's a voluntary action, not imposed. If I'm learning a new language or doing a program taught in a foreign language, of course, that language is learnt or spoken as a secondary language.

The irony is the pseudo-English people of Nigeria who carry another man language for head like gala no know the difference between primary and secondary.

This forum na one kind funny place
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 2:21pm On Oct 16, 2023
If you see people developing science in their native language, it's because they know god/God doesn't protect or help anyone. Humans protect and help one another, not a god.

But then, I don't expect the dumb ones or the mentally infirm one that wants to wipe out his culture to understand this simple truth.

When the dull ones are praying and relying on a god, a human like themselves, to protect them and help them in times of need, that god is busy doing research in science and all kinds of knowledge to protect and help himself.

If mumu people plenty for your culture, they won't value their language and other key elements of their culture, especially their ancestors and forebears but put a foreign language over theirs.

When you put the language of another people above your own, automatically, you'll also put their ancestors and forebears over yours and relegate your culture as a whole to the background. (Your mumu na follow come.)

What that means in the larger scheme of things is that you've become inferior or second-class to such foreign people.

This is one key reason why intelligent people clamor for Africans to speak their native language primarily (whether they're in the majority or minority) and English or any other language secondarily.

Only the intelligent can understand this simple message.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 10:46pm On Oct 15, 2023
Were ti ja (a mad man don cut rope to dey run around). We live in a multilingual and multicultural world, so billions of humans around the world speak their mother tongue primarily and English as a second language. When you're done posting useless epistles all about, that fact still remains valid.

At no period in human history has the world ever been monolingual. Even in the extinct Homo erectus epoch, such never happened.

Diversity is the natural state of all things on this planet.

When you've what we call "arun opolo" (mental disorder) in Yoruba, that's when you'll be calling for the abolishment of your language and culture and all others in Africa and replacing them with the English language and British culture.

That wish will only remain a dream in your tiny, dysfunctional brain. Keep living in dreamland.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 10:10pm On Oct 15, 2023
When you're done with your maniac disorder, billions of humans around the world will still continue to use their native language as the primary mode of communication (with their fellow ethnic group members) and English or any other languages as secondary (when relating with other people).

If you no like am, you fit go hug transformer grin. Were oja

The languages are inventions of some geniuses in the past. They're human creations, and their survival depends on humans as well.

If there are many intelligent people who are speakers of a language, that language will become popular and well known in the world.

If you want to know the races and peoples with the largest number of intelligent humans on Earth in modern times, check the global languages of today.

As I said before, if mumu people plenty for your language, and there are only few intelligent people, your language is endangered and will soon go into extinction.

It's humans, who invent languages, that also keep them alive, not God.

There are various situations in life that are simply beyond our control. No matter how much we may wish to alter certain circumstances, there are instances where our influence is limited to effect the change we desire for, It is beta to recognize and accept these settings if we want to be accepted globally, of what advantage will it be to spend all my life to learn a language that can't be understood by another tribe/country (in a lighter mood) as the saying goes, if we can't beat them we better join them grin
It's your choice now. My own language, Yoruba, is spoken by more than 60 million people in Nigeria and other parts of the world. It'll continue to grow in leaps and bounds annually.

If you want your language to die in your generation, it's your choice. Many Yoruba people proactively promote their language every day, and this year, the language even got more popular due to some key incidents.

A number of Yoruba scientists and linguists are also developing science in the language.

Personally, I use Yoruba terms a lot and a couple of Igbo terms in my papers, and when my research area becomes popular in the coming years, Yoruba language (and Igbo) will also increase in popularity, along with Atum, Ifa, and Orunmila, who are my muses, the sources of inspiration to develop the new field of physics and math I've been working on for some years now.

That's why I'm asking our advocate here whether he can answer as I'm asking with open mind why their adherents have such high proclivity for violence even in modern relatively more civilized times.

Obviously nobody who's from the Southern part or Southeastern part of Nigeria and has lived in the North can be gas lit with that Islamophobia tag.

My own is you when people are talking about their harrowing experiences it's ok to keep quiet and just observe, that's not the time to tell us you're a moderate or not cos frankly nobody cares and that's not going to change the minds of people that view your religion negatively.

I'm old enough to remember the uproar that occurred in Kano when Miss World was announced would happen in Nigeria back in 02, I remember niggas in the Northern part of the country celebrating when 9/11 occurred.

When a supposed moderate is telling me the Deborah girl should have gone on trial and given fair hearing I have to look sideways and pause. Trial? So it's fair to ask is the moderate capable of passing a balanced viewpoint or just interjecting when you speak on events that have happened

I saw one claiming Islamic feminist and I was just laughing. You that cannot go to school in Afghanistan. You're in the west making noise
The reason for the highlighted is simple: The attitude and temperament of the god of a person influence them a lot. The worshippers of a god use him as their moral compass and a lens through which they view the world.

Allah has an aggressive and violent temperament as shown clearly in Qur'an, and this influenced Muhammed hugely when he was alive and spurred him to wage a lot of wars against non-Muslims.

That was how the foundation of terrorism and religious extremism was laid in the world by the founder of Islam, Muhammad, over 1400 years ago, and many Muslims continue to get influenced by the violent and aggressive temperament of Allah and the deeds of Muhammad while alive.

If you worship a god of peace, like Olorun Olodumare of the Yorubas or Chukwu of the Igbos, that temperament will reflect in your manners and ways of doing things.

In the same vein, if you worship a god of war, like Allah of the Arabs or Jehovah of the Israelites, that violent and aggressive temperament will also reflect in how you do things.
