WhoDeyHause:If you're in the science line or know someone in that line among your family and friends, it's good to encourage them to do deep research on the things people call "jazz", "juju", "voodoo". All these are wrong/misleading terms. They're archaic. The appropriate term is "mysterious". There's nothing like jazz, juju, voodoo, and the likes. It's either science and technology or superstition (fake). In the past, a number of gifted individuals that knew key mysteries about nature hid the secrets of their knowledge from the people so those ones could deify and worship them across generations as one god/deity or the other. Such gifted people were in various cultures around the world, and not only Africa. One of the tactics those gifted people used in hiding these secrets (the mysteries of nature) from the people was to shroud them in cloaks of spirituality or various metaphysical terms such as "juju", "voodoo", and the likes. The culture of calling seemingly mysterious phenomena or feats "juju", supernatural or spiritual was established this way, which was passed from one generation to the other. Sometimes, some of those gifted people, or the priests that built a religion or cult around the gifted people, don't know the secrets behind those extraordinary feats themselves, so they took the easiest route possible: ascribing the phenomena to God. But it's better to adopt the scientific approach and expose all claims of jazz, juju and the likes to scientific scrutiny so one can separate truth from falsehood, fact from fiction. However, this (scientific) approach is hard and requires a lot of brainpower, which is why many, especially in Africa, often avoid it in place of the easy approach, the religious paradigm. Behind many of those feats called "juju", "jazz", "voodoo", and the likes in the native cultures are unknown laws of nature (unexplained science). If any budding scientist puts in the work and researches them, such a person can make key discoveries that'll help boost their career. However, one needs to be cautious in this sort of research. |
"On 19 July 1973, scientists from CERN’s Gargamelle bubble chamber presented the first direct evidence of the weak neutral current. A decade later, CERN physicists announced the discovery of the carriers of the weak interaction, the W and Z bosons. CERN is organising the scientific symposium “Electroweak milestones – 50 years of neutral currents, 40 years of W and Z bosons”. It covers the past, present and future of this rich seam of physics." 10-12 years ago wen I dey the mental stage of the kids here, na Zakir we go dey celebrate and promote all about. Very funny. Naive. That time, one didn't know the global politics that powerful people use religion and the word "God" to play and conquer other people to rule over them. It's just funny when you outgrow some things and look back and laugh, then you see many are still in that same stage now and don't know their left from right. Now, apart from key scientists, if a person no be my ancestor/forebear whether in Africa or directly from my ethnic group or lineage, I no dey celebrate and promote such. Na to scrutinize and critically examine all claims, doctrines, and philosophies now and only go with what's backed with solid evidence. At this stage, knowledge (knowing everything) is the focus, not believing. |
liveLongNprospa:The man is on a mission to make Islam the only religion on this planet to achieve the dream of Muhammad, the founder of Islam, and millions of Muslims in different parts of the world. That's the grand objective of that tour, and Muslims, especially the fundamentalists, recite some prayers (duas) daily for this dream to become a reality. Muhammad don set the template to convert people to Islam when he dey alive sha: by the use of sword. So, na wetin Zakir, the Boko Haram members, and those northerners dey follow generally. The Arabs want to conquer and rule the world using the political tool, Islam. People promoting science and technology in various parts of the world know what they're doing, and one key reason is to checkmate the growth of a cancer like Islam from spreading malignantly and dominating this planet. |
Na wetin I dey talk many times for here about the local cultures, science and technology wey the dolts for here dey fight me dis alfa explain here briefly in Yoruba: https://www./879591093123253/permalink/1065951257820568/?mibextid=Nif5oz I don't think this person is a Physics graduate, yet he could even show some understanding about the native technologies our ancestors such as Osanyin, Agemo, Ogun, and the likes used during their lifetimes in this part of the world and achieved god-like feats with them, but the whites and Arabs came and brainwashed people to abandon these techs and demonize their ancestors and forebears. Now, I've been telling people to learn the Odu Ifa corpus and study it with a scientific approach. It holds the key to developing the Theory of Everything. But he come be like say I dey speak Greek language. The Odu Ifa corpus that Yoruba and Igbo peoples are seeing in their towns and villages is a big tech. But only the wise and those with functional eyes can understand this. If people don't reason and take action, it's the whites that'll later develop this much sought-after framework (TOE) using the Odu Ifa and achieved god-like feats with it. It's not good to be dumb in life. Na sense person dey use do Islam or Christianity (especially if you're based in Nigeria) and all things in life. Islam and Christianity are well-packaged scams. |
Kids dey mention my moniker anyhow. It's obvious these ones don't have anything in the brain. I'm not on Nairaland for childish discussions. Make una analyze all my posts o. I don find work for the jobless in society |
Your mates are either at work now or about to leave for work. But you can be wailing here. Make I drop this post to keep the jobless busy. Your job is to analyze it. And conclude the analysis with some wailing about Otem as usual. Later in the day when I'm less busy, I'll drop another one. Analyze all my posts; count the number of characters, words, and paragraphs, and think about A001 all day. At the end of the month, your wailings go pay your bills.
|
Mention binned. Na me go dey read nonsense from this thing early in the morning? Your moniker summarizes all that's wrong with your psyche. I no get time to read trash first thing on a Monday morning. I'm not starting a new week by engaging an im.becile. Let the wailings continue. No go find work since you dey jobless |
Make una resume una wailing about Otem. Wetin you achieve with last week's own? Lols, you don resume your job first thing on a Monday morning. Lols, everlasting wail |
I don't think this dumbo that quoted him knows the number of groups created using Tyson's name on Facebook. Kids too plenty for here. Even in the US, scientists going on a tour isn't something that happens often. Funningly enough, in the 90s, Carl Sagan also complained at various times about the dumbing down of the IQ of Americans when he said: "The dumbing down of Americans is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance." If he come see the dolts for here nko, wetin he for talk? These ones don break all records for stupidity. |
The dumbo wey dey mention me obviously don't know jack about the science world. Carl Sagan died since 1996. I'm sure dey never born many of your fellow dolts here even by that time. Stephen Hawking also died a couple of years ago. There's a reason I used "is" (for the present) in the comment you quoted, and not "was" (dead people). You're so dumb and silly. Na to dey explain what "is" and "was" mean to a so-called grown-up. Things you should have learnt while in school, you come dey embarrass yourself here. I said the US has a strong scientific culture. Did your stupid post show otherwise? No. I said Tyson is a celeb in the US. Did your idiotic post show otherwise? No. This site needs a block button. There are some idiots I don't even want to be engaging here. |
This man na celeb in the US scientific arena. The country has a robust scientific culture.

E gud say the one wey kleptomania don wreck him brain take his maniac disorder away from my mentions. Make una wail all year long. When you're tired, you'll move on to better things in life rather than stealing from people all over the net for a living. |
Ellexy:Wetin I don learn where polymaths and geniuses like Ifa and Orunmila be during their lifetimes on Earth? Those are my mentors. |
Interesting photo. Those three root sub-fields of Mathematics, Set Theory, Algebra, and Logic can further be roughly condensed to Category Theory or Infinity Category Theory. The whole of Mathematics can be reduced to just a few fundamental (underlying) principles of nature.

When you call them dumbos, them go dey cry. The same dolts referring to Allah as Olorun, Olorun as Allah, Jehovah as Olorun, Esu as Satan are the same that can't tell the difference between two nairalanders here. Lack of basic critical thinking skills. I don't how know how a Yoruba person is related to an Ebira man. Isn't this what the psychiatrists call psychosis characterized by delusions and hallucinations? Lols. E come be like say make person dey discuss Aristotlean philosophy, and some mumu dey call am Aristotle, even when such a person never made such a claim. People discuss the philosophical ideas in Otem's writings all around the world. It's not even as if many of the ideas are new on Earth. These ones no just know their left from right. The same way many around the world discuss Aristotlean philosophy. How many people go come dey bear Otem or Aristotle then? The Otem guy stated his historical account clearly on his threads to avoid any confusion as regards his state of origin. I no dey claim who I no be. I'm an agnostic and physicist. |
Keep ranting in my mentions. If at your age, you're talking like this, then it's obvious age and wisdom have an inverse relationship for some people. |
GloriousGbola:You obviously don't have a working brain. The people I make some posts here for know themselves. When you grow up, you'll understand some things. You never mature at all. |
GloriousGbola:See this idiot. Na curse be say you go use your head carry your evil wishes for other people. You no know that one before? Your brain never mature reach that level. Lols. No curse here. For the evil doers, they've to know the consequences of their evils. So, what I said isn't a curse. Where you see Otem for here? It's pure madness when you see something but na something else dey your brain. You're displaying what psychiatrists call psychosis. |
When many Africans hear their origin stories in what they call fables and tales around about how Odua, Sango, and the likes descended from heaven, they question these histories and call them false and reject them. But when they see the ridiculous origin stories in their Bible and Qur'an, they suddenly become dumb and lack the ability to question those texts and apply the same standard to the books simply because they're from the whites and Arabs. That attitude has no other name than what freethinkers call it: stupidity. When you tell them to embrace and promote the good aspects of the local cultures and traditions and the forefathers, they find such offensive and uncivilized. It's the culture and traditions and the forefathers of other people they love associating with and promoting. They have one standard for looking at the ancestors of the Israelites and Arabs, who they worship as God, and they've another standard for looking at their own ancestors in Africa. Intelligent people in other parts of the world are often biased and partial when it comes to their own cultures and ancestors as every right-thinking person should be. For most Africans, it's the opposite: They denigrate and demonize their own forefathers and cultures to please the Israelites and Arabs. When you believe things without evidence, you're displaying low intelligence. You can't display all this sort of attitude in the 21st century without sane people questioning your education and intelligence. It's the natural thing to do. |
Your evil wishes for me will manifest in your life and your loved ones. If you've kids, expect it to manifest in their lives as well. |
The dumbos know themselves. He dey ask me stupid question. Those ones that call themselves sheep (the Christians) dey shout all about in churches now in Nigeria, while the Muslims that call themselves "slaves" will soon do the same thing in their mosques. Yet, he dey ask silly question. |
donjazzet:Type your silly question on Google. I'm sure you'll find your answer there. Maybe na you own Nairaland, so you get to determine when I visit this forum and when I don't. I see you never treat your maniac condition. |
donjazzet:If you study that sign language, you'll discover some principles of nature underlie it. In the coming years, when scientists understand the brain and consciousness deeply, a "universal" language can be developed based on brain-to-brain communication. If religion didn't limit the growth of science on this planet, we'd have been using a tech for brain-to-brain communication that will work purely based on consciousness science and neuroscience allowing humans to communicate with a "universal" language. At a deeper level of reality, there's a language spoken by each species of living organisms. For instance, there's language that can be understood by the whole of humanity as a unit (a single system or an entanglement). How can we develop this? We need to study all disciplines and courses with a holistic and integrated approach. Only a few principles of nature underlie all kinds of knowledge and disciplines. The Odu Ifa corpus is a system the past humans in this part of the world used as their own integrated system (single framework), what's called a Theory of Everything nowadays. The Odu Ifa corpus is so comprehensive and deep that it was established based on ethics and morality. For instance, at its core is what's called Igba Iwa (the calabash of existence), a blueprint of all possible energies in the universe. That core has some fascinating math and physics. Yorubas use the same word, "Iwa", for "existence" or "being" and "morality" or "ethics". That was because the inventors of that language (past humans such as Olorun, Orunmila, Ifa, and others) considered good morals and values as central to human existence. Yoruba and Igbo people have a powerful system in their towns and villages, but religion and outdated cultural practices and traditions are the major problems. Yoruba and Igbo scientists that want to develop a TOE already have such a framework in their culture. Though the corpus has many archaic and outdated aspects, the science of Ifa is far, far ahead of modern science, and the Odu Ifa even covers ethical issues that could arise from the use of science and technology and other areas of life. The only things that'll scare many away are decoding the math and physics and the archaic beliefs in the cultures. Then, I know a typical African detests developing techs and solutions to problems themselves. They don't like to think hard. They prefer others (the whites, Asians) to do it, and they either do their usual copying or buy the techs from the foreign people. That attitude is one key reason why this continent is backward. In ancient Africa, there was nothing like Physics, Chemistry, Math, etc. And all the languages, many animals, humans, plants, and tons of others you see around today were products (applications) of that single framework developed and used by the ancient people. If there are many intelligent minds in Africa, people can also develop such a system, using the Odu Ifa corpus and modern science, and give it any name they like. |
When you grow in intelligence and courage, you mention people you're referring to directly. For now, make una dey play with sand as usual as kids. Na infantile brains full Nairaland. |
Kids don dey play around as usual. When the intelligent ones discuss salient issues, the children can only play around with sand since their brain never mature. |
When you dey Naija with poor roads, dark streets in many parts of the country at night caused by the perennial epileptic power supply, poor roads, and lack of other basic amenities, you no fit understand why thinkers question and criticize the systems (religion) that mainly cause this. When many of una get sense one day, you'll start questioning your useless gods that have put Africa in dark ages for so long. Generally, Europe had also gone through a similar phase in the past caused by their beliefs in their gods (the likes of Zeus, Odin, and many others), who have now mostly become objects of myth. I don't know how Nigeria will solve its power supply issues, and several other major problems it faces without the use of science and technology. Left to the gods of religion, the whole Earth will still be in the dark ages by now. But dumbos no fit understand why philosophers and scientists in various parts of the world have historically questioned and criticized religion and religious gods. |

People do science for many other reasons apart from winning a Nobel prize, and winning such isn't even a primary aim for many scientists. |
Taguchi:I didn't say entirely. I said "head", which means "ori" in Yoruba or what the Igbos call "chi". There's a reason I used "head" and put "IQ" and "intelligence" in brackets. Even what people call "luck" also relies on one's head, and often, intelligence plays a key role. A person's world exists in their brain (in their head) as pictures. If you're the religious type, you may not agree with me that everything depends on one's head. You may think it depends on one god or the other. But many people around the world live a godless life and achieve great things in life. If a person isn't from a wealthy home or have their parents in high places, it's their head (IQ, intelligence) that can help them achieve greatness in life. But if they're from a privileged background, then their parents would have done all the hard work and heavy lifting for them. Still, whatever such a person achieves in their own life also rests on their head because their world exists in their brain. |
Taguchi:Everything a person achieves in life rests (depends) on their head (their IQ, level of intelligence). |
