BlueRayDick:This post addresses your question already. A001:In an area with multiple languages, each tribe adopts its native language as the primary mode of communication and learning. In such areas, they'll use the popular languages there as the secondary modes of communication (other popular native language, English, etc.). Even in such areas, what you find is that the people there already speak more than one language. |
Maybe some people are living inside a rock or cave. I don't know. Billions of humans around the world understand at least more than one language. Personally, I understand three languages at least and am learning a couple of others. Some are just making a big deal out nothing. The world is diverse, and that's the natural state of things, and every human doesn't have to be under your slave masters, the English people. |
BlueRayDick:Read the post you quoted again. The answer is stated there clearly: Each ethnic group uses its native language as the primary mode of communication and English as the secondary mode of communication. These are simple issues really, and this is the standard way of doing things in many non-English-speaking countries around the world. |
When the mentally infirm one mentioning me treats his maniac condition, I'd engage him. Not here for senseless discussions about wiping out African cultures |
BlueRayDick:These are real, practicable ideas which many educators and students adopted and have been using in other non-English-speaking countries around the world for years, not lofty ideas like those in your religious texts. For Nigeria or even Africa, there's no need to develop or adopt any new language as a lingua fraca for the continent. Africans just need to develop their native languages and create or adopt local words for concepts and principles in philosophy and STEM so the continent can move with the times and stay relevant. If not, African languages and cultures will die in the near future. A culture that doesn't move with the times will lose relevance and die sooner or later. Each ethnic group or tribe should develop their own native language and adopt it as the primary mode of communication. And everyone uses English as a secondary mode of communication. Simple. English language should only be a primary mode of communication for the people of England and those areas derived from them unless you want to go back to the colonial era. The French, the Chinese, the Germans, the Polish, and many other progressive societies around the world use their native language as the primary mode of communication and English as secondary. That's the reality of things. No one is discussing lofty ideas here, but real, practicable ideas. |
Eventually, Africans will grow in intelligence and find ways to interact with nature using their native language primarily and any other imposed language (English and the likes) secondarily. Many people here don't know the importance of a language. If you can't speak your mother tongue and prefer to use English, it just shows you're under the English people, your fellow humans, as slaves. If an alien were to visit this planet from space now and profile humans living here, Africans will occupy the lowest section of his ranking/hierarchy of development of human races or peoples. Even looking at this planet from some areas in space, the dark continent is seen clearly at night. It's glaring that in modern times, on average, Africans demonstrate the lowest level of intelligence of all races in the world. Due to this low IQ, Africans can't develop their own native and indigenous solutions to the myriad problems nature at throws at them, and they must copy the whites and Arabs in every way. You can't be considered equals or even more developed than those you copy from always. Nature loves diversity, and hence, humans, a key aspect of Mother Nature, are diverse in many ways. While some basic problems such as food, shelter, and the likes are common to every human regardless of race or creed, the problems faced by Africans are unique to their own geography, biology, social, economic, and political settings. The same thing applies to all other races and peoples as well. So long Africans copy the whites and Arabs in everything (they want to talk, sleep, eat, pray, and do virtually everything like them), this continent will always remain underdeveloped, backward, and lagging behind. This is because Africans aren't using the right solutions to their own unique problems. The best solutions to any problem a people faces are homegrown, native solutions. The role played by a native language in the development and growth of a people is huge. Every element of nature (whether living or not) has its own language, i.e., its mode of communication and interaction with its environment, and this can be a spoken or unspoken language. A language is a living entity on its own and lives in the heads of those that speak such a language. There's no isolated system in reality. Everything (whether living or not) in the Universe interacts and exchanges information with other elements of nature using a language (spoken or unspoken) and other means. Most Africans are really dull people. Most just love being under Europe and Arabia. Most even want to become Europeans and Arabs, meaning they want Africa to die and experience the same thing the native Indians and the Maori people, and other indigenous black people in the Americas and the Australian continent faced in the hands of Britons. When Africa has intelligent people in higher numbers in the future, the continent will be able to exist independently as a sovereign entity and stop being under other continents as slaves. Before any slave of the whites or Arabs quote me, make sure your brain is working well and you've basic knowledge of the subject being discussed. |
Segedinho:I won't change my approach. When I'm insulted unnecessarily, I'd reply you in kind. I'm a human, not a fictitious character like Jesus Christ, the teacher of the "turn the other cheek" philosophy, which only his fellow fictional characters like Superman and Batman can follow in movies, not real humans. I'm here for intellectually stimulating discussions and always seek contrary opinions challenging the things I say. But before you challenge my posts, which contain many facts, make sure you've basic knowledge of the subject. |
This country and its serious problems sha. Gather 10 youths and ask them some basic facts about the history of Nigeria, you'd hardly get one or two people that'll answer the questions correctly. Repeat the same thing and ask them about the history of their ancestors and forebears, the responses you will be getting are lies that colonial masters from Europe and the jihadists from Arabia put in their head. Ask them basic facts about science, philosophy. You'll get the same outcome. Subjects most people care about are those on mischievous ways to cut corners and accumulate wealth in questionable ways. If you repeat the same experiment with the middle-aged and the elderly, you'll get almost the same results. How will such a country develop when the majority don't even have basic knowledge about key issues pertaining to their own existence? Na wa o. |
OasisX:Na you own Nairaland? My posts here are well in line with the purpose of this thread. If the things I say here are too difficult for you to understand, simply ignore the posts. |
So dull. The Yorubas codified their thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and everything they know in the Odu Ifa literary corpus. Their god, Olorun Olodumare or Eledumare in some dialects, is well stated there and the children he had, Obatala and Odua. Your idol, Jehovah, from Isreal is stated clearly in the Bible the Oyibos, your slavemasters brought for you. But because some Yorubas, who has been captured as slaves by the whites, called Yahweh Olorun, two entities with a distinct history, everyone must accept that glaring lie so we can all be slaves like you. If Olorun = Jehovah, where's Jehovah in the Odu Ifa? Some people no get brain at all. The fact that Tinubu and Biden both answer to the title, president, doesn't make Tinubu and Biden the same individual. |
If you see my posts here, before you quote me and start saying nonsense about a subject you don't know anything about, make sure your brain is in a healthy condition and you read up and do research on what you want to talk about. |
OasisX:Lols. Posts on a site with many low IQ members will get many likes and shares. No surprises. |
larride:You're just a kid with nothing in his head. All those you mentioned were past humans. All the gods of religion were past humans and there are tons of evidence in support of that (though being a dolt, I know you don't really care about any evidence). Argue between now and the next 50 years, the truth will always remain the truth. Only children and those wey their never brain never fully mature say the nonsense you typed up there. You don't have basic knowledge of this subject. You're not worth my time. I'd simply bin any further mentions from you on this issue. I'm here to engage in intellectually stimulating discussions, not imbes |
Idiots like him dey like him posts, . Dolts really plenty for this site sha. In this age, a person is still equating a pagan god, Olorun, with their native idols from Israel and Arabia, Allah and Jehovah. Lols, nothing dey some people's heads. Just fufu |
larride:You still have a lot of growing up to do. When your brain is mature and well-developed and you can talk and reason like an adult, I'd engage you. Before you open your mouth and discuss a subject you don't have basic knowledge about, read and educate yourself so you don't embarrass yourself anyhow in public. If you call yourself a Yoruba as your name says, and in this time and age, you don't know the difference between Esu, one of your ancestors as a Yoruba person, and Satan, a Judeo-Christian concept and entity, then your retardness is legendary and one of a kind. |
larride:I don't know how translation works because I don't call Messi Ronaldo. You're not obviously sound mentally. Go and get your brain checked. Person wey dey sick in the head, using the stale tactic of religious people saying a person, who's well-versed in a subject and stating facts, doesn't know something because the facts of the matter don't align with the lies wey full your head. You're merely wasting your time sha. Today, only imbes see Olorun, Allah, and Yahweh as the same entity in today's Internet age where information on key subject is readily available online. |
larride:Your IQ is obviously very low because if someone like you sees a translated text calling Messi the same as Ronaldo, you will be parroting the same all around. SMH, people wey dey mentally slow |
larride:I'm not here to engage dolts that say Olorun = Allah = Jehovah = God. That's a classic way to recognize a dull African. It's like saying Messi = Ronaldo = G.O.A.T. If you've a working brain, you'd know only fools say and Messi and Ronaldo are the same person simply because each claims the title of the greatest footballer of all time. It's also fools that say Olorun is the same as Jehovah and the same as Allah simply because each claims the title of God, which thousands of past humans had also claimed in the past at one time or the other. If you don't know your left from right, that's, you don't have basic knowledge of what you're saying, don't quote me and be wasting time unnecessarily. The children (descendants) of Allah and Jehovah are killing themselves now in Isreal and Palestine continuing the wars their forefathers, Allah and Yahweh, fought many times against each other when alive, but some morons in Africa are still calling Allah the same as Jehovah and same as Olorun, the god and ancestor of the Isese practitioners in Yorubaland. |
Asking me if I know how translation works. Do you know the number of books and studies done by linguists and translators I've read on this subject for my research works, which involve rendering scientific knowledge in Yoruba language? I don't think you've an idea of what you're talking about. |
larride:Yes now. I know the key contributions of the popular slave of the whites, Ajayi Crowther, in damaging the histories of the local cultures, especially Yoruba, to please his slavemasters. It's a well-known fact. A religion like Christianity or Islam established on bloodshed and such lies cannot last for long. |
I see Yoruba people calling Eidul Adha Ileya and just laugh at people wey dey behave like kids wey their brain never fully develop. How is Eidul Adha, a festival that has sacrifice "ebo" right at its core and really means "Feast of the Sacrifice" or "Odun Ebo" translated to mean Ileya (meaning "homecoming" in Yoruba). People love engaging in deceit and lies. Yorubas have been doing homecoming (ileya) during the local festivals for the pagan gods and goddesses long before Islam entered Yorubaland. Many of the translated texts of Qur'an and the Bible in the local languages are full of such outright lies and misrepresentations. |
OasisX:All these fake translations sha. As I said before, if you can't read and understand Qur'an in Arabic, you don't really know the book and Islam. To get a deeper understanding of Islam and Qur'an, you need to understand Arabic and know a lot of history, so mischievous Muslims and liars from Arabia won't be calling Allah Olorun, Satan Eshu for you in the translated texts. |
Person wey no fit write and read Arabic, especially Qur'an and Sunnah understand Islam more than another one wey fit write and read the language and practiced the religion for years. Things you read on Nairaland sha. Ignorant lot, . |
izzou:The overall picture she painted isn't far from the truth. Those points you highlighted were some of the inaccurate parts of her message. And you made a good observation. I don't think I need to go into the details of those parts here and start posting proofs from the books of history of Islam and Muhammad written by the Muslims themselves. Overall, she painted a picture of a religion that 1. was established and spread using the sword and violence. That's a fact. 2. aims to establish an Islamic State using the sword, violence and conquest to capture the whole Earth. That's a fact, and the Muslims pray about this daily for Islam to become the only religion of all humans on this planet. So, no need for a lengthy discussion on a clear matter. |
Segedinho:The lady painted an approximately accurate picture of the history of Islam impressively, though not 100% factual. One clear, undeniable fact about Islam is that the religion was established by the sword and spread by the sword, and Christianity and Judaism are guilty of the same thing and had done theirs in the past. Such systems established based on bloodshed and violence cannot last for many millenia and isn't sustainable on the long run. When people studying Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a field analyze these religions objectively using the UN SDGs framework, it becomes clear they face a huge risk of going into extinction in the coming years, the same faced by fossil fuels. Islam, Christianity, and Judaism have lots and lots of blood on their hands. They're not sustainable systems in the long term because they've a very low social value. Even though the Christians had reformed their religions in the past, the tons of innocent lives of philosophers, scientists, and other heretics they took in the past will not allow that religion to stay alive and well and see the next 50–100 years. The three religions would soon get a taste of what the African traditional religions felt when most Africans left them to embrace Christianity and Islam. It's the use of reason and science that'll drive the Abrahamic religions, the personal philosophies of Yahweh and Allah, into extinction. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Can you tell me where I told you Isese festivals will be held publicly in Illorin this year? Both the alfas doing their usual jihad (religious violence) against that guy and the real Isese practitioners all practice Isese. Even the "juju" wey dey those alfas' hands worse pass Isese people's own. Na only Yoruba people understand wetin I dey talk. Those alfas wey dey consult Ifa wella for their customers to divine and do fortune-telling for them. It's a popular practice by the Yoruba Muslim clerics in Yorubaland generally. And before the 19th century, it was like that in the North too until Usman dan Fodio used the sword and violence (the traditional tools used to spread Islam in many parts of the world) to "reform" Islam in many parts of the North. When many of the northerners saw how he killed many Muslims in the North for combining Islam with their traditional (pagan) practices, fearing for their lives, many northern Muslims had to abandon those pagan practices and practice Islam only. The embattled guy, Tani Olorun, don expose all the secrets of Yoruba alfas on social media, and that has made them lose a lot of clients. The guy has made Isese much more popular and more Yoruba people are going back to embrace their roots (Isese) this year, and the trend is expected to continue next year and the future, driven by the new era of science and technology on the horizon. Na why dem dey fight am be that. Alfas wey dey depend on Isese practices and their deities for night but in day time, dem go dey abuse Ifa, Ogun, Sango, and co. They're hypocrites and liars. They're just fighting a lost battle sha. At the present moment, their religion be like an old man wey dey on his death bed who go die any moment from now. Na one or two inventions in the coming years go sound the death knell on that religion, and many scientists around the world are working on that. The scientist(s) wey go develop some breakthroughs that'll sound the final death knell on Islam and Christianity may even come from an unexpected part of the world. No one can stop the natural change currently ongoing on this planet where humans are making a transition from practicing a religion to embracing science. There are two paradigms humans generally lead their lives by and solve problems nature throws at them now and then: The traditional (religious) paradigm, where humans pray to a god to help them solve those problems and ward off the challenges, and the relatively new scientific paradigm, where humans put their brains to good use to solve those problems themselves without involving or depending on a god. And no, you can't combine the two just like a person cannot serve two masters. The scientific paradigm is growing stronger every day in this new era and will ultimately drive the religious paradigm into extinction. |
A player so great that his opponents even dey join in celebrating him. Hazard was truly a wonderful player!

An interesting quote from one of the pioneers of Quantum Physics.

Amigoss:Whether local or foreign, it doesn't make sense to be engaging in any ritual of a religion in a disorderly manner and be constituting a nuisance in the public with it. Then, when you realize these ones are even worshipping their fellow human as God who shares no form of relationship or connection with them in any way, the whole thing becomes ridiculous and laughable. At least, if it were Ifa or Osun worshippers now doing this in any part of Yorubaland, it would still be a bit understandable that they're worshipping and celebrating their ancestors and forefathers. One would just urge them to do so in an orderly manner without disturbing the peace of the public. But these ones are just slaves of the Arabs that don't even know who Allah, their god, is. |
OasisX:I'm on this forum to correct the lies of religion, especially those false and twisted historical details most Africans peddle all about without having a proof or knowledge of what they're saying. Africans are not related to Allah, Adam and Eve, Yahweh, fictitious Jesus Christ in any way. Olorun is Olorun (no equivalent in English), the god of the Isese practitioners in Yorubaland. Chukwu is Chukwu (no equivalent in English), the god of Igbo pagans. Allah is Allah (no equivalent in any native language of Africa), the god of the Arabs from Asia. Yahweh is Yahweh or Jehovah (no equivalent in any native language of Africa), the god of the Israelites from Asia. All these were past humans of the extinct human eras. Each of them claims the title of God, and thousands of humans in the past had once claimed that title on this planet. Today, they exist on Earth merely as characters in a book. That's the truth, and it's not meant to suffocate but to enlighten. |
Tinubu is yet to spend 6 months in office but naira don fall yakata and crossed the 1000-naira/$ mark. After a year in office nko, wetin go con happen. Lols. |
Hopefully, the Israelites and Palestinians, who both inherited bad genes of violence and bloodshed from their forefathers, Jehovah and Allah, will allow the world to have peace. Anywhere you've either of those two idols or their descendants in high numbers, that place can never know any form of peace until they conquer and steal it to expand their territory. |
