You generalized Abike because she is in public office but you are pushing back because I applied the same generalization to you

Public officers is also a whole population which Abike is part of it, If Abike is guilty by association then A001 is also guilty by association

To many foreigners its common knowledge that Nigerians are corrupt scammers, terrorists, drug pushers etc
So A001 is also a corrupt scammer terrorist drugpusher etc because he is a Nigerian
Lols, watery argument. The ranking is there. Can you give us a similar ranking to back your claim?

Just like most people know the countries in the world with the highest rate of terrorist attacks, most also know the most corrupt countries (i.e. those with the most corrupt public sector) in the world.

Your attempt at whataboutism na weak one.

Th average Nigerian is a scammer and A001 is no exception. Scamming is a way of life for Nigerians

How does that sound?
That's simply a fallacy of false equivalence. Public officials (politicians) are a small percentage (minority) of the population.

Your statement applies to the whole population.

It's common knowledge that most Nigerian politicians and public officials are corrupt, and that's one key reason why Nigeria ranks high among the most corrupt countries in the world.

In the annual Corruption Perceptions Index ranking, Nigeria has consistently been rated among the most corrupt countries worldwide. That ranking measures corruption in the public sector, a sector with many people like Abike and the other "fantastically corrupt politicians".

I'm sure we both know our public officials are fantastically corrupt as that bishop remarked that year, and that's why you said this that time:

The average Nigerian public official is highly corrupt, and Abike Dabiri is no exception. Looting public funds is a way of life for our public office holders.

So if you become a public official, I am at liberty to insult you, insult your family, invade your privacy, come into your house, your closet and you dont have any right to pushback?
Yes, if I steal public funds in millions, billions. Nigerian political actors and public officials are just lucky that Nigerians are mostly docile people.

If not, online verbal attacks will be the least of their worries after looting humongous amounts of money from the country's coffers for years and impoverished Nigeria, keeping millions of citizens in penury and privation.

Before the French revolution in the 18th century, their leaders didn't even commit most of the atrocities perpetrated by Nigerian politicians today before the French people revolted and wrested power from their corrupt leaders.

Nigerians are some of the most resilient people in the world ready to take anything the politicians and public officials dish out without complaining.

I don't support attacking responsible public officials verbally on the Internet. But most public officials in Nigeria are irresponsible and corrupt and don't have the best interest of the citizens at heart.

Both players compliment each other ,most of andelorti tactics is pass to vini and Insha allah and it works a lot with a good finisher like benzema

And lastly without benzema Madrid won’t have won the ucl last season ,me I am talking about this season ooo ,Vinicius is their main man for me

Vinicius is the main engine room though

I understand they do miss benzema
Nah. Benzema is the main man in that attrack. Vini wey recently improve under Ancelloti in 2021, barely two seasons ago.

Before Ancelloti came, he was just another Hudson Odoi. Plenty aimless dribbles, no output.

Without Benzema, that Madrid couldn't have defeated Liverpool and Chelsea even in the current weaker state of both English teams.

Those two small boys, Vini and Rodrygo, can't do much against any of the big clubs in England if they meet without Benzema.

If Benzema doesn't play the first leg against Man City, Madrid go chop am wotowoto. But with Benzema, Madrid has a strong squad with higher chances of winning the tie.

I don't see the point you're making. Anyone that watches Madrid games knows this Madrid team is very weak without Benzema.

Without Benzema, they're not better than Villarreal. Madrid needs a proven striker next season.

If not, they'll become weaker.

You might as well go and check when Madrid last defeated them!

Girona is playing so well and it'll take more than just Benzema and Courtois to beat them
They've only met a few times, and Madrid has more wins in their last 5 meetings and overall.

The last time Madrid beat them was in 2019. Girona didn't play in La Liga Satander in 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons and were promoted to the top flight league in 2022.

A001 almost made me to start thinking we are speaking about a different Nigeria University admission system, I said Prestige, Cost, Course Availability is more an important factor than religion when parents decide on school... A001
My ABU vs OSU comparison was to show Prestige as a factor, you think a parent would choose to not to send their wards to Imperial vs Sudan if course availability and Cost is on their side?
In the early 90's there was this thing called pre degree courses - not sure if it still exist, people where trouping to do it, just to comot for house after years of waiting for Admission... Most times you go where you get offer, not neccessary your choice offer.
Insecurity in the North is far worse today than it was in the 90s.

Even so, most parents won't send their kids to volatile regions where terrorism and violence are rife even if such regions offer quality education in certain courses.

Safety and security is number one factor in choosing a university, and that's why southerners in schools like University of Maiduguri and similar schools in volatile states in the North are in the minority.

Even in the past when the North was relatively safer, most parents in the South wouldn't choose schools in the North as a first choice.

Mostly, it's a last resort for few parents after their kids have been denied admission by schools in the South a number of times.

GloriousGbola:
and i am telling you your choice of data is flawed

so according to you the fact that unilorin has had more muslim than christian VCs means that the school is more popular among muslims than christians

the way it has always worked - the first preference for people sending their wards to public schools is the first generation federal university. then the second generation federal uni. then the state schools. if there is any marker of preference outside of this, it would be which school guarantees a 4 years is 4 years. no one is looking up the history of the vice chancellors a school has had.

you really and truly have no idea what you are talking about where unilorin is concerned, as the school does not even have a sizeable contingent of northern students.
All these arguments wey no get head or tail. Both ABU and Unillorin are located in the North. Islam is the dominant religion of the North.

Hence, both schools are more popular among Muslims than Christians which is why more Muslims have led both schools as VC than Christians. So far, you've not proven otherwise.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 12:49pm On Apr 24, 2023
GloriousGbola:
did you go to or teach in either of these institutions?

the biggest social activity when i was in unilorin was campus fellowships. i cannot begin to count how many there were. elshaddi, believers love world, believers love fellowship, etal.

they are so established that every new session, there would be a batch of medical students who would get sucked into fellowship social activities and flunk out

muslims were definitely not in a numerical majority - and the shokoto anabi / full hijabites were a minority

so maybe you are talking about a different unilorin.
Show me where I said Muslims are the numerical majority in Unillorin in the comment you quoted.

I clearly stated schools like ABU and Unilorin are more popular among Muslims than Christians, and both schools have Muslim students in high numbers.

All the VCs of Unillorin from 1997 to date are Muslims, and the school has had more Muslim VCs than Christians, which is not surprising since Islam is the dominant religion of Ilorin and Kwara state generally.

Most ABU VCs are Muslims.

Olowunl01:
Oga you are still making my point - other factors e.g Cost, Prestige, Course Availability etc come into play before religion...

You are talking about Univeristy Education in Nigeria as if admission is not gold dust... E get how person go wait house reach after WAEC & JAMB that going to study in Borno becomes an option.
I wont be surprise if there are UK/ American students studying in same Sudan.
You're comparing a state school with a federal school to make your point. Federal schools are generally cheaper.

A more reasonable comparison would be between ABU and a similar federal school in the South as federal schools are generally cheaper.

If the scenario you gave as an example was between two federal schools, we both know 9 out of 10 times, the southern parents would choose the southern university.

Even amongst the few parents from the South that sent their kids to school in the North because of relatively cheaper tuitions, the majority are Muslims because Islam is the dominant religion in the North.

Olowunl01:
But they still did, and No - they are not Muslims..

No offense - ABU admission vs Ogun state Uni Ago-Iwoye; back then most parents will send their wards to ABU, religion does not play major role... No Parent would knowingly put their wards in harms way.. Haba.
Course availability, prestige, choice, cost and other factors come into play as oppose to just simple Arabic or Islamic bent..
You said ABU VS OSU. Why not ABU VS UI (two federal schools)? Generally, state schools are more expensive than federal schools.

Schools like ABU, Unillorin are more popular among Muslims than Christians.

I didn't say non-Muslim parents didn't send their kids to school in the North at all. But the majority were Muslims.

Did Hojberg play as the AM yesterday?

The role of a DM in a team is primarily defensive, and Hojberg wasn't used as the primary DM yesterday.

Now you don switch to AM.
