Good angle.

But please read my reply to nateev I think it answer this.
No, it doesn't. Haaland is the highest scorer in the best league in the world in his first season at age 22.

He has developed his goal-scoring skills to near perfection and that alone can make him win the Balon D'or if he continues at this level even without developing his other aspects of the game.

Even so, his young age gives him time to develop on other aspects. He's a potential world's best player award winner.

If Man City wins the UCL with Haaland making key contribution, he has a good shot at winning the prestigious award.

He dey mention Kane, Suarez, Benzema in comparison with a 22-year-old to show those strikers are better than Haaland yet he failed to tell us which of those strikers scored the highest goals in their first season in the best league in the world at the age 22.

Good we are getting somewhere.

At least you agree that after goals their something else a striker should do.

Halland pressing is good but not top level yet.
Just see your takes. Halland is just 22 and you're comparing him with much older and more experienced players like Benzema, Harry Kane who have developed many aspects of their game over the years.

Who told you those strikers had all the aspects of their game you see today developed at that top level when at Haaland's age?

All these funny takes on this thread just like the one with the brain and ball problem.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by A001: 3:20pm On Mar 10, 2023
The striker who is the highest goal scorer in EPL is struggling despite spending the first season in the league.

Some tripe you read on Nairaland. He's struggling in the EPL like Osimhen, who is the highest scorer in Serie A, is also struggling.

Lols. Apart from scoring goals, I guess a striker also has to help the team defend and do some midfield work.

What's the primary job of a striker if not to score goals?

Any other thing is jara

Havertz10:
Oshimen would flop in England, I have watched him multiple times, he benefits of service, it’s the same problem that haaland and lukaku have, once you nullify their service, they would struggle

To be clear, i’m not advocating for Havertz to play as the 9, I have already stated that I would prefer it if he was more involved in proceedings than playing up front alone, granted he drops deep to link up play but let’s be real, he isn’t a striker, plus there is so much to his game that it’s a waste using him as a striker

If haaland can struggle in England with a team that is as organized as city, I wonder what’s fueling the assumption that a player that averages less than 10 completed passes a game like osimhen would excel and is the missing link to complete Chelsea, we have seen this movie before

If we must get a striker then it has to be someone that would be more involved, I wouldn’t mind kolo Muani

If oshimen knows what’s good for him, he would remain in Italy and become a legend there. it’s not just Chelsea, strikers in general are becoming too easy to nullify.

Plus he is very emotional, his body language is very irritating, complains about everything, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that most of the players there can’t stand him, and coming out to say that you want to play in England after all the love that Napoli fans have given him is the kind of disgusting mentality that I don’t want at our club, his demeanor, personality, carriage and aesthetic isn’t professional, nah if oshimen joins Chelsea, I would sign out
Saying trash all about. That your Havertz flopped in England doesn't mean every player would.

.

But Potter made personal phone call to mudryk, badiashile, Enzo etc. and got all no coach is bigger than a club keep wailing
You no kuku get brain before. When we signed those players in January, making top four was still a possibility.

It's not now. Dem dey talk about football, this retard too dey choke mouth.

Keep expecting to sign world-class players with a clown like Potter as a coach if the club fails to qualify for Champions' League.

Only a fool will think a top player will see an opportunity to play Champions' League football in Madrid, Man City, or Barcelona, and choose to play under Boli and Potter, two clowns wey no get ambitions.

Chelsea intend to continue spending. Graham Potter is interested in signing a striker in addition to RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku. Chelsea have looked at Victor Osimhen.

Good luck with attracting one of the best strikers in Europe with Potter as a coach and not finishing top 4 of the EPL.

Boli and the clown Potter can keep dreaming.

The entire team was not up to standard. Chelsea having a standard team against Bayern Munich is nothing to be worried about. Na lack of striker be our only issue now.
Yea, lack of striker since your Potter na one of best coaches in the league. There's enough quality in the Chelsea team for any coach that knows his onion to win trophies with.

It's not until you buy all the players in the world that you start competing and winning trophies.

Chelsea has spent roughly 600 million pounds on players just this season alone, and you still dey find a striker with Potter as a coach.

You and all this your clueless takes.

Is it a striker that's our pressing need now or a good coach?

Africans are a funny lot. They observe festivals and holidays celebrating the two foreign gods (past beings) promoting the foreign cultures but have no holidays celebrating their own native gods.

They demonize and detest the local cultures preferring to give foreign names to their children instead of native names. I've never seen a more stupid race.

Good one from Ogun State governor, and other states should emulate him. It's good to promote the good aspects of the local culture and embrace them.

Your culture is your identity.

I am truly very very concerned about what is happening in Lagos right now.

The very intense hatred targeted at one group has become extremely dangerous. The APC are creating radical yoruba nationalist that see themselves as special and the igbos as people to be very afraid of.

This is drawing parallels to what Jews experienced in Nazi Germany. The accusations of silent takeover. Of Germans not being awake to their responsibilities of cleansing the land.

Once again I am calling on all our learned and educated Yoruba brethren to lend their voices in the absolute condemnation of the targeted hateful rhetorics towards a particular tribe in Lagos.

Even confronting their biggest fears that an "igbo man" will rule Lagos. Looked indepthly, what is truly the big deal? Are we not happy when we hear of nigerians winning elective offices in countries around the world? Are we not happy when we hear an igbo person or a yoruba person has won a cosmopolitan area in London or newyork?

Take a state like newyork or California. California has had Arnold Schwarzenegger (a naturally polish or Russian) govern the biggest state in the united states.

Newyork has had Irish-born governors, Dutch-born governors, german-born governors.
I mean, look at the leader of Britain today, an indian\pakistani governor.

That is basically what a megalopolis is. A cosmopolitan melting pot. Lagos is the London (financial nerve centre and administrative hub) of Nigeria, Lagos is the newyork (corporate and financial headquarters) of Nigeria, Lagos is the California (entertainment and import\export hub) of Nigeria.

Lagos has always drawn the best of Nigeria to it since time immemorial. From the early 19th century. There was a time when living in Lagos was viewed as the pinnacle of success to every nigerian. If you were based in Lagos, you were a big man in your village. In the 60's down to the 90's.

So this ethnic jingoism, chauvinism and radical ethnocentrism is very unnecessary in Lagos.

As a matter of fact, 2 igbo men have been administrative governors\ leaders of Lagos and heaven did not fall. There were no acrimony. Pa jakande, one of the best governors of Lagos was a kogi or Kwara man.

So please once again, I am calling on all the learned and educated beloved yoruba guys on this platform to join me in lending their voices to the condemnation of what is happening in Lagos right now.

The heavily tribalistic vitriol being directed towards igbos in Lagos is already at it's peak and it is transforming the hearts and minds of innocent people towards their nigerian brothers. So please raumdeuter, nihilist, laride, oasis, blueraydick, afrodoc2, A001 and others I can't remember.

Please do what you can within your powers, reach out to your relatives, see that none have fallen victim to this heavy propaganda. No one is "taking over" anywhere. There is simply zero evidence of anyone planning or meeting anywhere with a view to "taking over". These are just propaganda devices used for the enshrinement of the present political status quo and machinery of one man. Tinubu is no different from chimaroke, Ibori, kalu family, lamido of jigawa, and other political godfathers of Nigeria in their various states or region. The difference was simply the might of the states coffers. Tinubu used the vast resources of Lagos state to expand his reach beyond his governed state.

So please and please, join me in lending your voices and influence against the treacherous purveyors of hate in our polity. Thanks.
This should be directed to those that engage in tribal war here. I don't.

I've no problems with Ibos and have some Ibo friends who teach me the language.

I believe the whole of humanity is one as it's the same baryons, arranged in unique ways, that make up our body.
