BlueRayDick:He's only following in the footsteps of his prophet — "the best of mankind". |
Those Africans still under Arab slavery will be celebrating and worshipping their masters in mosques today and getting ready to fast in the month of Ramadan. Ibn Khaldun, one of the greatest Arab social scientists of the Middle Ages, captured the state of mind of the typical African slave that worships the Arab god succinctly: "Therefore, the Negro nation are, as a rule, submissive to slavery, because [Negroes] have little [that is essentially] human and have attributes that are quite similar to those of dumb animals, as we have stated." "Beyond [known peoples of black West Africa] to the south there is no civilization in the proper sense. There are only humans who are closer to dumb animals than to rational beings. They live in thickets and caves, and eat herbs and unprepared grain. They frequently eat each other. They cannot be considered human beings." Though he made those quotes hundreds of years ago, sadly, that's how the typical Arab sees the average African today. As Ibn Khaldun said, "Islam is under obligation to gain power over all nations." This is an arabcentric view shared by virtually all Arab Muslims. However, when some Africans espouse afrocentric views, it's their fellow Africans (the Muslims and the Christians) who condemn them. The Arabs see the world in an arabcentric way: When anything happens, they're concerned about how it can benefit or affect them and the Arab people before anyone else. The Europeans too feel the same way with their eurocentric views. However, a typical African Muslim or Christian sees the world in an eurocentric or arabcentric manner rather than in an afrocentric way. How can such a people that are not rational develop? It's sad that the majority of the black race will remain enslaved to the Europeans and Arabs for many years to come. Your view as an African should be afrocentric, not eurocentric or arabcentric. That's how to survive and thrive in the world unless you're in slavery. |
About reactivating a deactivated Nairaland account, mods do that sometimes. Jarus has had his account reactivated in the past after deactivating it. He has deactivated it again, and I won't be surprised if it's reactivated in the near future as usual. With the right connection and financial clout, virtually anything is possible in Nigeria, whether in embodied spaces offline or in disembodied spaces online. Seun should toe the same path as Facebook and allow users to deactivate their account temporarily and reactivate it any time they want. Nairaland only has the permanent account deactivation feature, and some members even enjoy the privilege of having their account reactivated, perhaps for a fee. |
Nigeria is broke, not poor as some people believe. The country is broke due to the massive acts of corruption perpetrated by the ruling class over the years and currently as well. These politicians steal humongous amounts of money now and then. That Nigeria is poor is a myth. But it's broke, and no country on earth can survive the monumental looting actions by Nigeria politicians without going broke. |
popizaino:Where was this resilience when the team was under Lampard? The credit goes to Tuchel for developing resiliency in the squad. |
raumdeuter:I no dey joke with those ones. They can mess one's life up if one is naive. Juju no dey, but some gifted people can manipulate people's dreams and mess them up psychologically. When I was doing NYSC some years back, I had such an experience with a lady who is an Osun devotee. That's one of the reasons why I can't be an atheist. You need more than merely saying "God doesn't exist" to survive in some parts of Yorubaland. The dream world is another realm entirely. If one doesn't believe in God, doesn't belong to a cult or an occultic group, one must build up one confidence solidly in oneself (one's head) to be able to withstand some attacks in dreams. It's all psychological. If one has no god, one must learn to depend on one's head. Some humans can send their thoughts as waves to other people's heads while sleeping which the victim sees as a nightmare and could scare their heart and cause a heart attack for some, which they call a spiritual attack. But it's all psychological, and we live in a vast soup of thought waves and waves generally. Some of those traditionalists are not to be messed with. When you've issues with some people, they'd come to your dreams to threaten you. But it's all a mere threat. |
raumdeuter:Lols, those are extreme traditional people. They can be as dangerous as those fundamentalists that are Muslims. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:You've to learn to be tolerant. However, you can find a non-religious person but that'll take time, and the probability of success is slim. As for me, I've no issues with marrying a religious person with liberal views. My babe hardly prays. It's an extremist I can't stand: The type that prays fervently and detests the pagans and the native cultures. I can't tolerate those ones. With time, I'd convince the lady I'm with to ditch religion completely. But leading a godless life requires a high level of intelligence, courage, and mental strength, qualities that are rare. Religious people fear ants, cockroaches, imaginary demons, spiritual attacks that are not real, hell and God's judgment that are not real, and fear to sleep in the dark. They torment themselves with all sorts of funny ideas and myths. So, I doubt she'll listen to me. I approach religious issues with the people close to me with extreme caution, especially the Muslims. |
Amoto94:That's if he stays fit. A good player but has fitness issues, just like Chilwell |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:It's difficult to find a partner in Nigeria if you're not religious. Na religious people full everywhere. If you want to catch a monkey, na to behave like one. The babe wey I dey with think say I be Muslim, but I don tell her from the beginning say too much religiosity is a no-no for me and my kids. Fortunately, she no dey bother me about religious issues. I made my choice carefully. The perfect partner for me would be someone with a background as a traditionalist (someone that knows ifa odu corpus well), understand Yoruba language deeply, and is trained in one of the sciences. But they're hard to come by. I even prefer a liberal religionist or humanist to an atheist or an agnostic like me because when some people discover that things like karma, God, heaven, and hell are pure human constructs, they tend to be wicked. |
Kimbeast:Seconded. We can meet Bayern or Madrid later on in the competition when we're stronger. |
andrewbaba44:I don hear. Now leave our thread and go Barca fans' thread afterall na una get the most trophies in the world. Leave us and our light trophy cabinet. |
BlueRayDick:Is it the same Lagos they said Tinubu built that Jakande talk say is the most developed part of the federation as far back as 1979? Lols Anyway, BAT don use crooked means to acquire power now. Let's see what he'd do with it. |
[quote author=OasisX post=121749921] ![]() [font=serif].... forget the tweet, this is apparently funniest video ever....... LMFAO people wey no normal plenty for this country, like that pastor and his members. Christianity is a joke You command money wey you no work for to enter your account in the name of the Roman invention called Jesus Christ. Clowns. Anyway, this is the sort of miracle most Nigerian Christians pray for, afterall fictional Jesus is a god of protocol breaker, miracle worker |
Ibime:Anyway, no need for long talk, bros. He'll soon start his usual e-fight again since about seven knots don loose for him brain. That lengthy ban is on the horizon for him. |
andrewbaba44:Better go your thread, make we hear word. And if you wan collect form as a Chelsea fan, talk. This one wey you no dey even visit your thread wey dry like Sahara desert again. Na Chelsea thread every day like raumdeuter. You sef like good thing. Success has many friends. |
Elder0001:You can only find such abuse of power on this forum. On bigger forums such as Reddit and Quora, rules are strictly obeyed and mods impartial and fair. Why make rules when you break them at will so brazenly? |
Ibime:He shouldn't be reinstated. He fought dirty with the other two guys. Abusing another person's father many times online is as bad as posting the picture of another person's kid online. Both are equally bad actions that should carry equal weight of punishment. Such injustice and partiality should be condemned. |
Elder0001:You see why there's no point calling the mods whenever a fool at 40 here wan fight on Nairaland like a kid? Better to let who wan fight fight than invite mods that are obviously corrupt and partial. Corruption is a way of life in Nigeria. |
Ibime:What punishment has the third offender served? Has he served any? |
This one is so dense. You don't rate Haaland because he failed to score against Crystal Palace, yet he's scored against many EPL teams including the big clubs. This one don kolo |
Ibime:So three people fought dirty and called one another unprintable names, but only two are serving punishment with the third culprit left off the hook to continue his usual childish e-fights all over Nairaland. Where's the punishment for the sick fellow? Or he doesn't deserve any? |
See struggling Haaland. That havertz.10 and the dumb guy supporting him no get sense |
The one wey madness dey him blood don dey look for who to fight on Nairaland since morning. If Nairaland is fair, the maniac fellow should be banned for 10 years at least so this thread can have some peace. Were digbolugi. Three people fought, the unfair mod banned two of them and left the main culprit constituting a nuisance here in his usual practice. |
Itsrm:Nice lines. Kenny Rogers |

andrewbaba44:He left us not too long ago. What's your business with Chelsea? Leave this thread and go to your dry thread. |
BlueRayDick:Most of the religions have evolved from their dark past thanks to scientific enlightenment. I've never stopped anyone from practicing a religion. However, religious beliefs, like all other aspects of human life, must be critically examined and scrutinized. That's how we know truth from falsehood. No beliefs, whether religious or otherwise, are above criticism. Without this sort of discussion and engagement, we'll still be in the dark age. If a religious belief can't be exposed to the tests of logic and scrutiny, it's a sham. |
Typing nonsense like a deranged fool all about when I've never promoted any religion on Nairaland. This one na real mania I see Otem is why you're a fool at 40, why at your age, you fight all over Nairaland like a cursed fellow. Just last week, this thread was locked due to your childish fights that lasted for days. He wan start another fight. I no get your time sha. Your sparring partners go soon come. You no kuku get life. |
It's a fool that says much of Physics is involved in weapon development from the beginning of time I'd be engaging on Nairaland. He's definitely empty upstairs. How many weapons did the founding fathers of Physics in ancient Egypt, ancient Greece and old Rome develop? Small. Physics, the oldest field in science, comes from natural philosophy. Nothing dey him head other than petty fights on Nairaland like a spoilt kid. |
I no get time for that Aro patient and thug. No one takes a mad man that fights all about Nairaland seriously. A fool at 40 talking about cult of Otem, maybe na him found the cult. The imbe wan die for my mentions begging for my attention desperately. |
BlueRayDick:Yes, the traditional religions have their bad history as well, but it pales in comparison with the Christian and Muslim gods who have committed genocides. Anyway, religion has no real importance for people. Ultimately, a religion is the personal philosophy of its founder/god, and he/she is the real beneficiary and the priests and the politicians/rulers, not the common people. Islam is Allah's personal philosophy; Christianity is Yahweh's personal philosophy; Buddhism is Buddha's personal philosophy; the same applies to the other religions. These personal ancient philosophies of past beings (or ETs) who people see as God have no use in modern times when a well-read and rational person can design their own personal philosophy based on science and critical thinking without elements of religion. Well, only a tiny percentage of humans can achieve that feat. Since I stopped being religious during my university days, I've never for once regretted my decision. I belong to Facebook groups where tons of books are shared about the origins of religions, and I read widely focusing on old books. When I watch religious people engage in worshipping their fellow humans who are past (gifted) beings as God in religion, I just shake my head and pity their ignorance. Most people will spend their whole life believing a lie. Critical thinking, philosophy, and science is the way. Religion constitutes a huge hindrance to science and the development of our planet. |
