Guys, CSS is more than what you are saying. w3schools to me is like a JS3 class, preparing you for the senior class. CSS is more advanced than the one displayed on w3schools.Do you know you can write expressions in CSS? e.g

You need to see more of CSS @ work and stop this argument. What I know in life is this, If I know something and am sure of it, telling you about it is just a way of sharing it else I would keep it to myself and grow faster than U. Installation is different from configuration. Theses guyz( opensource developers) are really trying creating a quick install web apps. You actually installed by clicking unlike in the old day of php3 where u wiill have to write some extra code and stuffs just to do an installation. Nowadays you hardly spend time installing but you do spend time configuring. This is because you want more aside the default setting. Do you know u can install WP on your server remotely? By just uploading a single php(provided by WP) on you server you should be able to install it remotely.

Anyway you are right about "some average , " but I kindda wonder why some will want to be an average in what ever they are into. Taking time to learn is some peoples problem. Well i don't have to say much about that , still Self host is the best.

However, if you are a developer/someone who wants to go beyond typing characters, then the self-hosted is the way to go. At the end of the day, at least to me, nothing beats control. That is why I would rather code in notepad than in dreamweaver (but I digress ).

There are tones of plugins for self hosted wordpress that will work for you on a click without u knowing html or ftp in details.

You're right niyyie, but some still fill Free Hosted Blogs are better just because it cost you nothing. It's actually risky for self hosted blogger who has lots of traffic and can't afford to buy more than 1 or 2GB traffic bandwidth a month on the hosting server. Apart from the control issues, monetising your blog really matters. It's just about putting in money where you getting from, unless you just want to affect life by motivational words. I currently have 4 blogs with 3 monetizing while one is to motivated people spiritually.

If you need to work on something urgently, I think u shld start designing a website for blind people. God doesn't need your webshit. Even if he does accept your proposal, the hosting server will crash in a nano second with the number/weight of traffic.

Don't get me wrong bro. A common statement about Java is 'It's Hard'. You may ask, why is it that pple say Java is hard? it's just the complexity in it. Java is as simple as PHP but one of the difference is the method naming in java whereas php functions are like english language. When you start working with complex functions(that are hard to remember) in PHP you shld know what am talking about interms of hardness. PHP is easy for me and I can write it in my double dreams(dream in dreams), and it's my #1. so don't get me wrong.

what if your client has already purchased a hosting that has no support for php, you will have to use the best tool for the task at hand.

You hardly fine a server that doesn't support PHP and Windows has always been in support of PHP. As of CF7, you can run CF on linux with some complex configuration. But with simple steps(thanks to open source) you will install PHP on any system easily, even linux servers.

It's always funny to me when I see people saying PHP coding is easy. Anyway, it is cause it has the native part unlike most prog. langs and maybe those who say that needs to work in a group environment where by you will have to use OOP and some rules will be implemented.

Ruby is coming fine with OOP from scratch and I love it as Ajax is been embedded in it. There are lots of web programming that are good also. Mainly, you have to put your webserver into consideration. I mean Apache, IIS and lot more

Remember that a cheque has to be in your name or you won't cash it. The only way to get around a problem of that nature is to register a friend/relative with a separate contact address and always look to that friend/relative to cash your funds for you. YOU CAN'T have more than one google adsense account with the same name and address.

You are talking out of policy while am talking out of experience. Most sites have privacy, terms of service, disclaimer etc but not all follow them. You might not understand what I mean. Why will google approve your second account, with the same name as ur previous one, in the first place. I have registered Adsense acct b4 with a US address and later called (not email) Google to change it to my Nigeria address. These things are facts only if U which to learn. If you want to be focus on Google, then good luck.

A common fear in publishers is 'Don't place ads from diff company on the same page.' I have a site with ads from 4 diff company and none of them has ever complain and the money is getting into my pocket. So good luck.

There is no need to debate on PHP vs JSP. Sun Micro even knows that PHP is better and thats why there is currently a beef. People that won't agreed to this are those who know the native side of PHP and not the OOP part. Class and function declaration as of PHP 5 , and the intro of interface implementation and other, make id spec. So forget it.

There are ways of getting about this bro. People do make some mistakes registering google adsense acct for each website. If you have multiple website, u can place adsense code from just one acct on all the websites. With this U will be able to register for another acct with another domain if one account is banned.

There are other better source of making kool cash online. What at CJ, Adbrite, ShoppingAds( grows faster with US/UK traffic). I made $1200 from CJ in months. There are other better source, google is not the best but i noticed people talk much about google adsense. Google is a thief I will say. They banned my privious account for a stupid reason. The first time they banned the account, I emailed google and asked why. The reply I got was that I have lots of invalid click on my website which I didn't sincerely but once being a network engineer and at the moment using Multilinks the problem is the IP. Multilinks give out IP via DHCP and I do access my acct with this different IP whereas most of the visitors are from Nigeria. I explained thiis to them and the free me at first but later banned it and they said this is against the policy no matter how. My advice since then is that, if U want to register google adsense, make sure u do that from a static IP and mostly check ur acct from this IP.

I think it high time we understood how a forum is been used. If you have a solution to a question, please post it on board. A forum in another word means discussion board and not contact junction. If You have a solution to someone's problem, just paste and let them have it. Why asking people to contact You? A lot of You don't even know why You often receive junk mails. About PHP Basics, my advice is this. Learning PHP by starting with OOP is the best, but most people won't want it that way cause OOP looks scary. Native PHP makes You week in concept and unprofessional in development. A lot of GOOD php programmer of today started with either JavaScript OOP or straight up with PHP OOP. If You are a java programmer, OOP in PHP 4 will be quite easy for you but as of PHP 5, it became more advance and robust even than java OOP.

Any of the above code will run fine. For the first, it will run if nothing comes after. PHP is the best, coldfusion prior to CF8 sucks. Am a pro coldfusion programmer and I know what am talking about. PHP and JSP are my best choice.
