Let me clarify. Most of what we are practicing in Africa is civilian rule not democracy, democracy will require your institutions and your legislative and judicial arms to be working perfectly. This is not the case.

There's no explanation for a government hospital to not have functioning elevators for several years. What is the work of the CMDs, Commissioners what are these people even doing? I have a few Dr friends that have switched to tech and thrown their 7+ years study into the bin. Because the working environment is stuff of horrors. I am 💯 in support of holding the government accountable for the avoidable death of the young doctor . I am also considering more people can die from the sudden strike which takes effect immediately . There will be people already scheduled for surgery in the coming days in those hospitals and the doctors strike will surely affect them/their chances of staying alive .

I am all in for the government to do something about this incident , punish all the people found culpable like those responsible for not carrying out the maintenance , review the regulations around blood donation( I learnt this was the reason she didn’t get blood on time ) and come out strong on reviewing doctors welfare .
