GloriousGbola: You think it will end there?
I guarantee next thing you will see putin giving weapons to the 'Biafran freedom fighters'
It is Russians (Ibime can correct me) who were selling arms to mend if I recall
Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia and China have formed a power bloc. China's goal is resources. Russias goal is power/influence. We have seen Sudan fully collapse because of Wagner arming the janjawid.
This does not look good for Africa at all. The next theater in resource wars of the future.
And we have lithium. Boko haram/ banditry in zamfara is also about gold. And Chinese are also involved.
The worst part of this is the typical shortsighted African thinking where those in power / influence will sell us all out for trinkets. Niger has never been a stable country. Forget about Russia and Putin. This was their first democratic transition. Which was almost toppled the previous year. You don't need to read deeper meaning into all of this than what it is but once you invade then all bets are off If Putin is clearly behind them as you're claiming then it's already too late. Russia will not chook mouth in everything if they don't have to. At least not in the open. The option of transitioning back to Democracy should be allowed to Niger like it has been allowed to other countries. Invasion or anything military should not even be considered, the snowball effect nobody is or will be ready for. Go and ask Yemen. A coup in dead Niger is only the start it can get a lot worse if Tinubu and his hubris gets involved. |

We have our own citizens going through hard times due to economic hardship in the country. We are definitely not in a good financial position to push that agenda .
We have our multifaceted war against non state actors within this nation .
We also have the US - RUSSIA side to the crisis which may not be in our Favour to play host to a proxy war right at our backyard.
If ECOWAS and Nigeria didn’t go berserk on the Guinea and Mali coups in the past , why are they making an exception to this ?
I just hope we don’t end up being puppets in the hands of these super powers Nigerian and Nigerien lives do not cost anything to the West. I hope these people sha understand this. Niger will cry to Iran, Russia these are people you don't want anywhere around your region doing anything. For some weird reason I have been consuming a lot of war literature lately and the common pattern I have observed is countries invaded are rarely ever left to fight by themselves. They will always get help either from the 'good guys' or the 'bad guys' |

Twitter has the advantage of cornering the market early, Even if Mark deploys the infra needed that brand name still dey. Normally these billionaires love experimenting but Twitter is just too unique. The ability to follow so many things live at once is truly hard for any other platform to duplicate. Na really all those woke leftists dey make noise cos them no like Elon personality. Eventually they came back. Hell even Trump nobody really get him time for that him platform. BlueRayDick: I read this morning that this ousted president coming to power in 2021 was the first peaceful transition of a new government since Niger gained independence. That means prior to 2021 democracy, (the way America wants it practiced ) hasn't been practiced in that country.
2021-2023 and the country is back to it's default settings.
I think a "big brother country" like France and USA interested in having democracy entrenched is such country with history of political conflict should first try to investigate the causes of these constant political instability and try to help them solve some of it. It should not just be America shouting "DEMOCARY OR NOTHING" when shiiit hits the fan. I like how we we are pretending Niger has been this beacon of democracy all this time. This has been an unstable country for a very long time so this idea that this coup will suddenly start one war that will lead to this upsurge of refugees Nigeria has never seen before is quite wild to me. Invasion is very easy to start when it will end is what you cannot predict as even Putin is finding out. Best case scenario is to try what they're trying in places like Guinea and Mali. Military coupists rarely enter and stay in perpetuity unless in few instances, I mean even Abacha and IBB tried transitioning to Agbada. This is a pelepele matter, ko gba agidi. If you say Niger is landlocked, Sudan, Algeria will not act in interest of ECOWAS so don't be naive. Nothing consign them with us |

They was a time in America that not everyone can even vote. Exams like literacy test was conducted and if you fail, you will not be able to vote.
I will always say this, if democracy is good for America, CCP is good for China also. My thing is at the end of the day. Even if we say democracy is the best then you should practice what you preach and allow each country choose the style that works for them. All ECOWAS is saying is that the coupists should follow their own constitutional laws. The moment you give room for a law to be powerless, everyone and anyone would take advantage of it.
So what happens when another coupist tries to overthrow this coupist? Should Nigeria come in then, or take it as another WIN?
Their election is in 2025. Let the coupists form a party and let the majority that loves them prove it then.

Niger is definitely bigger than Nigeria. And that whole coup thing has sailed. There is a full coup belt in Western Africa so what is the entire fuss about Niger? The last time i checked, Niger Republic was part of ECOWAS, and one of the commitments of the Community to its member countries is to uphold their constitutional laws and promote and instill peace
If we stop Mr Coupist from pulling this stunt, we would guide them into their next election in 2025, and then Mr Coupist can contest and win easily (shebi his people love him well well? )
But if this guy gets his wish, be ready for another coup before 2024 ends

I understand why Crawford would be the favourite though as he has the more flashy skill and has single knockout power but I am a ride or die Spence fan so I am praying for Man Down season.
My concerns are 1) Spence’s long lay off 2) His car crash 3) My fear that he is having to increasingly drain himself to make weight. I don’t think he can make 147 much longer.

afrodoc2: Spence wasn't knocked out down o. Ugas punched him flush on the chin and still couldn't knock him down. What happened was that for the fight he had temporary dental implants (because of his accident), so when his mouthpiece fell out he thought it was his implant and panicked in the moment. The fact that Ugas hit him flush while he wasn't looking and still couldn't get him down is even further certification of his chin in my book. Luckily he has permanent implants now.
If Spence is able to stay in the fight he won't go chasing a KO cos it is not his style. Most of his knockouts are due to accumulated damage. The only reason he will go chasing a knockout is if he is being completely outclassed by Crawford. I am really worried about Crawford's counterpunching ability though. I understand why the bookies have Crawford as the favourite but if Gamboa could make Crawford do the stanky leg so can Spence. I missed this. This is really such a tough fight to call. But if we are using Boxing math I look at their high quality common opponent. Shawn Porter. Crawford dispatched him much easier while Spence got a SD. Might not matter but just saying |
