If you are a relatively short keeper then you have to be a shot stopper with reflexes like Casillas, Barthez, Jorge Campos, Shilton e.t.c.

Reyes was just simply fantastic. I never thought anyone alive could make Jones look that weak and clueless. At a point Jones looked completely bereft of ideas and all we keep seeing is gbos gbas, front kicks, jabs, side kicks, upper cut from Reyes landing on Jon Jones. He was simply outboxed in the first three rounds.

This is obviously not what I expect from Jones. Jones that we used to know always make his opponents looked completely stupid by completely dominating the entire rounds. Reyes has made us aware that Jones is not unbeatable. This match should give our own Adesanya a clue of ways to beat Jones. The only impeccable thing about Jones is his ability to take his opponents down. Reyes did not give him the chance to take him down at the same time using his reach advantage and speed to produce more side, front kicks and jabs.

If you have a good takedown defensive skills like Reyes did and have the speed, reach, you can beat Jones. I am a die hard Jones fans but Reyes simply outperformed Jones. Even he couldn't achieve anything from his short-lived takedowns.

At the end of the day, Reyes didn't do enough to beat Jones. He had to do enough to defeat Jones. Jones is a pundits favourites, he is UFC favourites, he is defending champion, besides the 3 take downs of Reyes and his unimpressive performance in the last 2 rounds where he was running around the stage made Jones retained the belts. If you have to take the belts from favourite Jones, you need to at beat KO him or surrender him or at worst, dominate him as he had rightly done as well as avoid any take downs. Those cost Reyes the belts.

I wish there is a rematch. Reyes need to try KO Jones early when he is still fresh. His speed, reach, power and take downs defensive skills will win him the rematch. He can KO Jones within the first 3 rounds. A big left can take Jones down and speedily followed with fast jabs. That match shouldn't have gone to 5 rounds and he should have taken the fight to Jones from round one and not taking long kabs from the outside running around. Jones fell my hands. Reyes was Peoples champion at the end of the day because he clearly outperformed and outjab and outkicked Jones.

I agree with everything you said here. Credit to Jones for his cardio and Championship experience. His cardio really kept him in this fight, and he also showed he could take a punch.

That being said I don't think he should even think of moving up to Heavyweight. If he had to face an Ngannou uppercut or wrestled with a Curtis Blaydes the outcome would be ugly
