The truth is somewhere in the middle. I think he also played in terrible teams for a long time after Antoine Walker left and that hurt his legacy somewhat. Bird was definitely better than Pierce. Nobody was phucking with Prime Bird. Parish must have been using. He's no Kobe or Lebron but few guys could score like Pierce at that 2-3 position

He's definitely a top 5 SF of his era, and top 10 Swingman (SG/SF) PP was good

The Cavs look energized though. JR doesn't look like a D-League player and these guys the Cavs added can play off the ball and not hog it like IT and Wade used to do. Still early days anyway

The Celts really needed perimeter scoring which is why I'm surprised they did not try to get Evans in the trade deadline. The best they can get now are Belinelli and Joe Johnson who are hardly reliable perimeter scorers at this point. Defense is good but there would be nights you simply have to outscore the other team.

The Raptors have learned this and now have arguably the most dynamic bench in the league. CJ Miles has been a massive steal!!!

Now to the Cavs I won't get carried away with this W just yet. Their additions are still suspect defensively aside George Hill and they benefitted from terrible 3pt shooting from the C's. I will say though that the benefit of the guys they've added is the fact that they know their roles and are likelier to leave their egos at the door and play the way Lebron wants them to play. This can also work against the Cavs but unlike IT and Wade these newer set of guys should completely toe the line

A difficult decision awaits the Eagles organization. In C. Wentz they have a very good young QB who many believe was the MVP until he went down injured and now N. Foles who was terrific in the postseason, culminating in tonight's victory. This roster was built around C. Wentz but Foles took it and owned it like it was his own.

To be fair Foles got there first. I'd leave if I were Foles though. However the difficulty is in getting the right fit. The situation is too perfect in Philly, he has arguably the best Tight End in the league not named Gronk and deep threats that can blow the roof of defenses like Smith,Jeffrey and Agholor. What team out there mirrors this? I also see elements of Chip Kelly Run Pass options in his play. Pederson knew Foles strengths and borrowed from his predecessor
