SIRcumalot: I wan see the magic rick carlise one work with deron willams, the dude for portland recovering from the ACl injury, old man dirk and parsons. No playoff for dallas this season.
Who in the West do you think would knock the Mavs out of the Playoffs?
Donlittle: yes, you can set it up and let us know.
my dallas is going to struggle, but my man rick carlise is at the helm of affairs, i am not even worried. you know, i think this guy is underrated and i will rate him above doc rivers
oh derrick rose? what can i say, this dude is worried about getting paid in 2017, and he got injured the next day, talk about glass body and karma.
lets talk tristan thonpson, i say just fire the guy. why would a bench warmer want the max? I think lebron caused this filth, if he had kept is mouth shot in the beginning and not say we want him back yadayada, then thompson wont be feeling untouchable, now homie wants 18mil.
oh yea NBA fans, lets get the thread popping
Rick Carlisle is definitely better than Doc Rivers. I have always felt Rivers is a good coach but a tad overrated.
Derrick Rose. Smh! He is lucky its not the NFL else he would have been cut since.
Well the Cavs boxed themselves into this position anyway, they have massively overpaid for Kevin Love and other guys want more too. If they could come to some kind of understanding before the cap space balloons next season i think it will be beneficial for both sides. Somehow I am not sure Tristan will get 18 on the open market as well. He is not a franchise changer not even close
sephia: Bros make una check am na. Mou is the new Wenger, Selling all our players and not replacing yet expecting a miracle. Playing the same stupid Iva even when the monkey isn't performing . Who knows if they are dating? His arrogance has made us lose Eva. He has refused to play the only player who can lead and lift the morale of the team. This nonsense reach to bring person out from sabbatical. I'm so pissed. I believe the poor results would continue, Mou would be shown the gate, the boys would pick form and maybe manage to qualify for CL. We've seen it before nor be today.
All the players he had he has sold and is now left with incompetent ones. You guys would be due for another expensive rebuild at this rate. Better pray Daddy Roman is willing to spend the guap.
I wouldn't put it past Chelsea to make a full recovery due to the general mediocrity of the EPL however it is in Europe that Chelsea should be focusing on making their mark and barring a miracle it doesn't look like you have the squad to do that this year
Iva has no business starting tbh even Rafinha has never played this poorly for Bayern
raumdeuter: The problem most Bundesliga teams have is the fierce competition in the league unlike in the EPL where almost the same 4 qualify every year for the CL(Manure, City, Arsenal CHelsea) and the same teams qualify for Europa(Spurs Liverpool) this helps them to build pedigree. Even in SPain when Sociedad and Bilbao made the CL, they usually crash back. CL football needs consistency and building a pedigree
Unlike in the Buli Wolfsburg hasnt played Cl football for like 5 yrs and BMG is playing their first CL. The teams like Dortmund and Schalke due to the intense competition couldnt make top 4
Possibly next season BmG wont make it another rookie would come and have to start their learning all over. in 2012 I think BmG almost made the CL, next season they barely escaped relegation. Same thing with freiburg Look at Augsburg now in relegation battle playing Europa
If we have a stable top 4 or say Bayern Dortmund and Leverkusen every year and the 4th places rotated between Schalke, Wolfsburg and anyone, they would build the needed experience
When leverkusen too started like 4 yrs ago, they were losing 7-1 to Barca, 6-1 to Man utd and PSG. Now they are able to go toe to toe with Barca and Atletico
When Dortmund came to the CL in 2012 too, they were last in their group, before they built some pedigree got a good run, now they are missing again
There's a lot of truth to this. I also want to point out the relative lack of investment. I know it is fairly common for BuLi clubs to spend within their means but Favre has been doing too much with too little for a bit too long. He lost Kramer and Max Kruse last year and I don't think they have been able to replace these guys. I mean when the best striker you can get is Josip Drmic a guy who could not unseat an ageing Stefan Kiessling then there's a problem. They would most likely finish bottom with a head to head vs Juve coming up
chic2pimp: Most fighters have been accused of judging fights since time immemorial. From Ali to Sugar Ray to Floyd. People will always throw around that accusation. He was definitely leading but guess what it was an unfit and overweight Lennox punches that did the damage. Don't know about Bowe but Hearns man. How can anybody watch that man fight and come to one resounding conclusion?....LEGEND!
Anyone can suffer a cut. I don't think that's a legit way to end a fight. Not disputing Lennox's greatness though. He beat everybody that mattered in his generation even Riddick Bowe at the Olympics. He was the best fighter of his generation no question about that
He wasn't as flashy and flamboyant as Sugar Ray and Roberto Duran so its easy to gloss over his abilities
Aareonakakanfo: Sorry i take that back! it was a 2-1 so you're right. Speaking of a foreman-tyson fight
The way Foreman fought, he would've struggled against tyson. A slugfest is exactly what Tyson provokes his usually much bigger opponents to do. That's how Tyson always manages to find the inside.you and i know Tyson's hands speed was huuh!
Tyson likes opponents that trade punches because they are not as flexible as him. I'm sure you'll agree with me foreman wasn't as flexible as tyson.nope? Foreman lacked good head movement. Like i already said, to say one of the two will win with so much confidence is tricky. At the end of the day, it will all boil down to endurance. If foreman can take him all the way to 7, then tyson is history but i respect your opinion though.
Frazier and Norton are similar to Tyson in almost every aspect and Foreman dispatched them all with ease. There would be no punches to trade since Tyson's suspect chin would see him suffer an early knockout. Show me the fighters Tyson battled in his prime that suggests he would have been a match for George Foreman. Abeg let us leave story Foreman at pension age was taking Evander Holyfield to the limit
Aareonakakanfo: Foreman a harder puncher? well i might have to go back to my clips. Of course foreman will make my heavyweight top 10. Seems you love bowe so much but truth be told he never faced any top fighter except holyfield and he lost the rematch. E be like say you get beef with Tyson oo
Foreman that was knocking out fighters way into his mid 40's some almost half his age? Abeg Tyson cannot survive George Foreman forget story
Bowe was 2-1 vs Evander, Evander's win was via split decision while Bowe won convincingly
Beat them home and away and for one of Olympiakos or Zagreb to get 4-6 points from their head to head so Arsenal at best get Europa or knocked out totally
Lol we have to rep for the Bundesliga vs Arsenal. Absolute annihilation
Mike tyson will not survive 3 rounds of foreman: Common i wouldn't say that with much confidence. i think tyson was a harder puncher than foreman. Its difficult to predict matches like that. One thing i notice about tyson is that he lacks endurance so if he doesn't knock you down before round 7 and your punch is as hard as his, then he's a goner. He relies excessively on his punch power so all in all that's tricky
I agree with you on your point that Ali will out smart him. that's one area tyson is lacking, intelligence. Speaking of tyson's record, i think its a bit harsh for us to judge tyson by his opponents. The man was good. If we want to do that, then we might as well add marciano and larry holmes to the list after all they faced the same kind of oppnents i.e washed up fighters
Lastly no disrespect to bowe, he was a great boxer but still rating him ahead of tyson is a bit harsh to me. Bowe never fought an A class fighter except holyfield
Well i have seen Foreman decimate Joe Frazier who IMO would also destroy Tyson so i am sure Foreman was a harder puncher. George Foreman was a bad man bruh.
Bowe's record was impeccable. He easily beat a prime Evander and his lack of longevity is his only knock. I think he would also have beaten Tyson. Tyson lost to every decent boxer bar Larry Holmes on his last legs
Aareonakakanfo: Any boxing fan will agree with me that these two are among the greatest boxers to ever step foot into the ring.Last week I was watching some of Tyson's knockout highlights(make una no mind me i dey on break) and an old friend though not a boxing fan was like
Was there any boxer who could stand these guy's punches? it was like one being hit with an elephant tusk the way the opponents fell but i countered him with Ali. Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time and he was able to hold Smoking joe and foreman's punches and we'll agree these two will surely make the list of top 20 hardest punchers of all time.Foreman prior to the Ali fight had 37 k.o before he met him.Frazier was also a knockout artist but later i thought about it that this looks like a potentially good debate ooo
Could Ali have survived Tyson? and when I mean Tyson I mean the Tyson before Cus d'amato's death
so the question is
PRIME TIME ALI VS PRIME TIME TYSON
Please be very objective no sentiments. I have my opinions and i'll share them as we discuss
Cc shamecurls,50calibre,chic2pimp,A40,bundesligabest,justkay3,nihilist,frisky2good,lifebender,straneur
Mike Tyson will not survive 3 rounds with George Foreman, Ali would probably out smart him in the ring as well. We have had this argument long time ago. Tyson's record is suspect if we wan critically analyze am. An extremely washed-up Larry Holmes is the biggest win in his CV. Hell i would put Riddick Bowe ahead of Tyson, Tyson spent his prime years ducking Evander Holyfield for goodness sake
sephia: Finally it has become glaring that Mou isn't special afterall like i always knew. Like i said then, taking this job was a silly mistake. The guy left a hero the first time. He would surely leave as a villain this time around. Ivanovic should be made to play with the youth team henceforth if any progress is to be made. I'm so looking forward to the sky news headline soon.
Mama the Mama. For Bluediva to return and post it mean say water don pass garri. "Mou isn't special" this is golden! I have a lot of respect for Mourinho but he is fast turning to the Wenger he is always deriding. Its like watching a washed-up Larry Holmes box. Painful
Lol Ivanovic is now a universal joke. Even Oscar Pistorius would dribble past him.
Aareonakakanfo: True. I remember telling someone recently that none of these current crop of boxers would have survived 5 rounds of Hearns/Hagler talkless of Duran.Boxing is more like comedy these days especially the heavyweight category.Pure bullch!t! deontay is bringing back memories though but he can't do it alone. We need like 4 of him to bring back the much needed spark heavyweight boxing use to have
Hagler woulda killed Mayweather, De La Hoya and Pacman
Aareonakakanfo: True. he was good but i think he lost his status after those back to back losses against Ali and foreman
The two best fighters of his generation and arguably history. No shame in that! Plus the second loss to Ali was highly debatable
chic2pimp: Why Lennox accepted that fight in the first place beats me. He was clearly unfit(never seen him carry that much timber to a fight) and demotivated. That said, He was still to inflict so much damage to that eye. And yh He had one heck of a chin on him. Marvellous probably had the best chin considering the quality opponents he faced. Tommy Hearn vastly underrated imo.
He had been accused of ducking fights for a while so I guess he just felt compelled to do so. Anyone can get a cut eye to be honest and Vitali was leading up till that point. Hearns is massively underrated, Riddick Bowe as well
