Luka even in a bad game will still give you 20. Kyrie has to also be at that minimum

PJ shoots better at home but to be honest, I am not so worried about him against my Celtics. I have looked at the match ups and how both teams play on both ends and the Celtics have the advantage. If Porz keeps shooting the way he is, you are forced to come out. The Celtics just need to take out one of Kyrie/ Doncic and force the others to win the game.

I agree they have the advantage in certain areas but let that 3ball start falling or stop falling in your end and you will see that the advantage is not as wide as you think.

Lively and Kyrie have been non factors on this game. The Mavericks will have to find a way to incorporate them into the offense cos Luka cannot do it all by himself

Indeed, I dont see them being as injury free in the upcoming year. But I dont agree on AD's value. Take a look at that team again, they are stacked. Hachimura, Reaves, Russell, Gabe those guys are guaranteed to make noise if used properly. Trade AD and deepen the bench + picks, a win for the 2 trading teams imo. At this point, Lebron is more reliable and less injury prone than AD, a shameful thing to say, but it is what it is

Without AD as your defensive anchor you will be at G-League level on the defensive side

On offense he is still your most reliable Quarter 1-3 option. We saw how he absolutely cooked the Nuggets the first 3 quarters of each game.

Reaves, Russell, Hachimura are good players but ultimately useless without All NBA tier level talent leading them.

Trust me I would want nothing more than LeNomad twilight seasons to end in Huge embarrassing failure but I at least want him to have a puncher's chance so Bronsexuals will have no excuses

Your Mavs are not going to get those interior shots they got against the Wolves. Without the 3s your Mavs will still struggle to make shots outside of Doncic and Kyrie and against this Celtics roster, that is going to be tough

Me I will not overreact to this game. You're doing what you're supposed to do in Game 1 and if I'm the Mavs I will take some notes of what I did wrong and fix it

That's what blew the game open and threw the Mavs off their game. I can count a 7-0 and 8-0 run inside 1 minute respectively midway through the 1st quarter that has the Mavs scampering and scrambling with no real identity.

Credit to the interior defense too but without the glut of 3s it's still a close game.

7 3s in a quarter. Not much you can do about that. Mavs should just try and cut it to like 10 and see what they can cook in the second half

Their real edge for me is still in the shooting if they shoot well from 3 I don't think the Mavericks can cope

They may have to ship out AD, even Lebron as well if the math makes sense.

Shipping out AD means the Lakers have slam the door shut on any type of contention. You will never be able to cobble up anything in a trade to get AD short of Luka, Jokic and Giannis to a lesser extent

Hurley is definitely a much better option and ruins things for us that were hoping to see a circus show next season

In the end I think it will boil down to the 3pt spamming ability of the Celtics. If the Celtics spam the 3pter like they did in the regular season then there's not much you can really do. That's the one area I really think they have the Mavs beat

Overall just based on the levels I've seen the Mavericks play though I just think they have too much for the Celts. Mavs in 6
