Zion is indisciplined and has obviously lost that fire to compete with the huge salary given to him. Ingram on the other hand is the Pelicans best player. Dude has been aggressive since his Laker days.

Besides that, if I was the Pelican coach, I'll just rest my first team against Lakers and bring the firepower against the winner of the Sacramento- Warriors matchup. The winner would be gassed and can't match the Pels first team. Being the 8th seed would have them go against playoff newbies, OKC, a team much weaker than Denver.

Zion is proof that all the muscles mean nothing without the right mentality. The fact that he's refused to work on any type of jumper makes me feel like he's just Ben Simmons with muscles.

Pelicans do not match up well with the Lakers especially this season. I can't quite place a finger on why they seem unable to compete but it seems they quickly gave up knowing the Suns were beating the TWolves and knowing they didn't have it in them to mount a comeback



One more thing. I don't know if it's just me but it seems with every passing game I get less and less impressed with Zion. His numbers might be gaudy but his game don't be passing the smell and impact test for me especially in big games. Anyway I'm open to new information in the future though
