I was born and bred in Iwaya. Iwaya is a twin community with Makoko. Infact, we used to have Iwaya-Makoko Community Bank, Iwaya-Makoko Police Station, Iwaya-Makoko Women Development Centre. Makoko is on water, while Iwaya is by the water. Iwaya is the Community that stretches from University of Lagos 2nd Gate where MFM Headquarters is located up to where Iwaya and Makoko shared borders.

Today, out of my 6 siblings, only two of us has less than a Master's degree, and only two of us are currently in Nigeria. Where your own family members are still praying and fasting to get to, we have been there and returned. Not everyone is wretched like you.

Go to Makoko now, about 50% of the people there are those that dropped out of Primary School in the South East, and jumped into Mallam Audu's trailer carrying Cows from Bornu through Igboland to Lagos to come and sell Gala and La Casera inside Lagos hold-ups. The other 50% are Eguns, Ilajes and Ijaws whose natural habitat is on water, but they are now being displaced by the Developers
