Hello house.my Lexus 350 rx kind of jerks when changing gears. I took it to the mechanic and they did check everything but no fault was detected same thing made me sell my same 350 Lexus last year and the new one is doing same thing. What could be the cause.

What year of rx350
Try run a scan first.
Low oil can cause it tho

Mechanic changed my toyota corolla 2005 crankshaft and since then the engine sounds like that of a grinding machine. I asked him why the sudden change in sound and his replay was that the engine needs to run before the sound will stop and this is the 3rd week now, still thesame sound. Any solution?

Solution get another technician to help you check what making d noise either from top or the bottom.then you can know what to do if you want to take it back to him or not na you go decide urself sir.

The ba3 charger said it should not be too expensive.. So I went online and saw 45-50k..
However, rewire said 140k

The light on the P (parking sign) is not on. Get an eletrician to check the fuse box under the steering wheel properly. Surely an eletrician issue.

I drive a Lexus ES 350 2010 model and I want to service my gearbox (oil change) for the first time since I bought the car in December 2023.

From my research, I need to use the Toyota WS AT FLUID and allow the gear cool down before performing the service.

My problem right now is where to get the genuine oil. I reside in Ibadan and will appreciate any direction to a vendor that sells genuine products.

Don't know about ibadan tho but i have a seller here in lagos where i do buy from. If you want it can be sent to you.

UPDATE: My car was scanned and prodded at Kojo Motors for almost 2 hours as seen in the attached picture. The report came back that my 3 catalysts are intact! Infact, I was shocked. Why would the Magodo mechanic then emphatically say that the middle catalyst was missing? The Panel beater said "I told you so!". So, my stance moving forward is to be scanning car like it is pregnant every single time it goes to a mechanic I am still trying to find. A part of me wants to do another car assessment because I still dont get why that Magodo mechanic made such an uproar incessantly about missing catalyst. Thank God the money I paid for a repair which he didnt do reversed.

All this code is for thermostat need to be replace and some suspension issue.

I will get the name of what the scanner man said needs to be changed, or probably snap it and post it here, I really need to know if it'd make the odometer and speed meter read again, my mechanic said the speed meter not reading is affecting the jar box selector and not making it select fast. I don't know how true is it.

If the speedometer is not working the car won't select well sir,
So either ur ABS module is part of ur problem too but i dont know until a scan result is provided.

The scanner man could not correct the error, he said that we have to change something, I have forgotten the name, he said it's 80-100k to change it.

Seems ur matter is complicated ohh, abeg you need to take details of every part they mention to you make dem no go run you street.
Oxygen sensore dey everywhere either new or tokunbo i can help u get it but first icneed to see the scan result to be sure if the sensore need to be change or not sir.

I scanned it, the issue wasn't oxygen sensor, the scanner told me it was exhaust sensor. I searched for it throughout the whole of today but I couldn't find it, tomorrow I will continue Mt search.

After my never ending fuel gulping battle with my Toyota Camry, I later ended up buying a 2012 Toyota Corolla.

I went with my mechanic to a car stand to get it, when we got there we saw different kinds/types of corolla. My mechanic told me some are 1.8l engine while others are 2.0l and a lot of the corolla uses venza engine.

I wanted to buy any of the corolla of 1.8L engine but my mechanic told me that they're old model, that I should get a recent corolla with Venza engine, but I refused when I heard the word "venza engine"

I told my mechanic that over my dead body will I jump from frying pan to fire, from Camry to Venza. I said so because since the corolla is using Venza engine, it'd surely gulp up fuel like Venza, which would be a lot worst than a camry.

But my mechanic assured me that what I said is very false, that it won't. That a corolla is a corolla and corollas doesn't eat fuel.

His words really calmed me down and I bought the 2012 corolla.

So I bought 8k fuel to test the fuel usage and see how long it'd last, I know I should have bought more, but I needed to get a faster result.

Well, it turns out that my mechanic tricked me and I'm in so much pains right now, my 8k fuel only went for 31km before the fuel got exhausted, I later realized that I was very much right and shouldn't have listened to my mechanic that a corolla is a corolla, venza engine or small 1.8L engine.

From my observation, it seems the 2012 corolla is gulping up fuel like a venza. Yesterday, I took it to a mechanic and asked them to fix anything that'd make the car to gulp up fuel, they changed the plugs, cleaned the filter, I will be testing it today with another 8k fuel, I pray and I hope that it won't be as bad as it was yesterday, because I'm so depressed right now, after what my camry did to me which made me went for a corolla, now I'm having same issue with my corolla. I'm really so down right now.

First the engine is not a venza engine, it 2zr smaller to venza engine
Secondly you can have the car scan you might have a bad oxygen sensor and can lead to fuel consumption. So please scan the car first be4 doing anything

Good day sir. You seem very knowledgeable with cars and I need your assistance.
I'm having an issue with my car. A 2009 lexus rx350. The axle got bad and was changed. The mechanic and I were testing the car and noticed the car seemed to be finding it difficult to change gears. We took it back to the workshop and the mechanic added some gear oil and asked me to drive it for a few days and the issue week stop.
On my way home from the mechanic, I noticed the car was finding it difficult to speed up until it eventually stopped. I turned it back on and the car wasn't going into Drive anymore, only reverse. Called the mechanic and he came to pick up the car and now it was driving properly so I'm guessing it was able to go into drive after the engine cooled down.
Mechanic is now telling me I need to change the fibre in the gears or to buy a new gear (meanwhile I never had any gear issues prior to changing the axle). Have you had any cases similar to this before? I'll be glad if you give any suggestions

In the process of changing the axle maybe just maybe dirt has enter the gearbox itself.
Changing fibre inside a 13pin gear box is complicated tho might work and might not work.
Have the car scan and drop scan result sir.
But have it at the back of ur mind sir that you might end up replacing the gearbox tho.

My car ( 2016 Camry ) started with foul odor, then after I noticed the AC vent is blowing hot air. I parked immediately. I later realized the there was no coolant inside the radiator again.

While experiencing all that, the temperature Guage didn't raise to indicate Overheating.

I was later advised to change the radiator to a Double Cell, which I did, but I'm still experiencing the same issue.


The car is less than 10days Tokunbo. I was advised to remove the thermostat and connect the fan directly. But I don't want to do that.

Your car coolant is leaking from somewhere outside the radiator since you have already replace it.
Ur thermostat might be stock closed wish can lead to overheating.
Ur radiator cap might be bad wish can lead to overheating.
Ur radiator fans might not be coming up when it suppose to.
You need a good technician to help you identify the issue exactly.
Removing the thermostat or connecting the fans direct will not help the car and the engine at all sir.
