Lol.

Well 10 lessons is all I have time for abeg.
Am not a novice....just to fine tuning required.

I wasn't a rough Driver in 9ja.
& the fear of losing my licence won't let me bring Lagos bad behaviour here. Lol

Lexusgs430:

Lucky you that Oga is paying................ ...
You think 10 lessons is all you need, after all the terrible driving technique picked up in Lagos (only 10 hours) ?
Reverse parking, parallel parking, emergency stop, side mirror observation etc etc etc
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Abbylove: 3:38pm On Mar 12, 2017
I don't want to drive a manual car either. Lol

And I can always learn that later and upgrade my licence later on.

deept:
If you do your test with automatic, you won't be allowed to drive a manual car

I don book am oh...Mama Charly ways. Theory test before practical

Them just dey collect my hard earned pounds right left and centre.

I dey drive (automatic) before I come here so 10 classes is all I need to understand their right hand drive cars.

Oga no get my time oh and his car is manual.
He go pay for the driving classes.
Hehehe....being a woman is fun

Lexusgs430:

His money is yours, while your money is yours? I thought that was the common motto of our beloved wives?
Passed your driving theory yet?
Oga too should take you on some free driving lessons, to cut down on driving lesson bills (declaring such on his insurance policy + vehicle displaying L plates )

No attempt manual driving lessons o. Just kuku do automatic (easier to pass)
Goodluck............

It's gone quiet in here.

Well here is an update on what I have done so far:

- BRP Picked
- My name was successfully added to our council tax bill
- Bank Account was opened
- National insurance number obtained from jobcentre
- Provisional driver's licence applied for online
- I applied to vote online and have received confirmation
- I also got a job via reed. Didn't like it as the employer was very unprofessional and made false advertisement...I stayed on while applying to several other places and finally got a good offer.

- Hubby took me on a tour to London Bridge where we took loads of pictures. (I learnt the importance of pictures from our 1st application)
- We hope to open a joint account in the near future.

- We are going on a weekend trip out of town soon...I will be gathering as much evidence of that as possible.

I keep every single document i recieve at the house inna big red box.

They would come in handy for my FLR

Am guessing the best evidence of cohabitation is a "baby"...lol.... we shall see about that next year.

Am still enjoying "being married for now"

Fly medview.
Book directly on their website.

No. U don't need the original tb certificate. They hardly ask for it.
If it's still valid, u can carry it with you. Otherwise leave it in your checked in boxes

stillwaiting:

Lexusgs430 and others: How can I get cheapest flight or ticket?
Do I still need to bring along my original TB certificate to show the immigration officer at Heathrow because the original is with the documents they returned to my wife and the cost of DHL of one document, although I have the photocopy in lieu of the original. Is it acceptable?

On a lighter mood, our first application was refused on the ONLY ground that my wife did not respond to their calls/unable to contact the sponsor but to our great surprise none of us was either interviewed or contacted, although we managed to 'bombard' them with lots of contacts: skype (80pages),what's app(70pages), facebook (100pages), emails, Greeting cards (almost 15), pictures(almost 30), call logs, emails to tribunals, etc.
Thanks a lot

MANY THANKS ARE DUE TO ALMIGHTY GOD. Today is one of the happiest days in my family. My 2nd application was successful today, after many years of separation with my family. I want to sincerely thank the following people for their encouragement for me to submit a fresh application without waiting for the hydra-headed appeal;@justwise, @Abbylove,@Lexusgs430 @ @portsmouth86, @newbie715, @light me @Uchman365, @dday101: I want to sincerely thank justwise for encouraging me to scan the refusal letter so that other people on this forum will advise me which I found very invaluable in preparing documents for this my successful 2nd application. I quoted the definition of subsisting marriage as suggested by @light me. In fact, people in this forum are very helpful it is far better than paying a huge amount of money for ignoramus lawyers. Almighty God will bless you all for your selfless service. Those of us that got help here, we should not abandon this forum because we have been relieved. We should recommend it to others. I was not aware of this forum when my lawyer prepared my first application that was refused and even when the appeals was prepaRED and they refused to overturn it. Thanks, thanks.I pray for those that are waiting that God will put smiles on their faces.

Long time my people in the house. God bless you all for your selfless effort.

After Thirteen months of appeal, since November 2015 I got NOTICE OF HEARING beginning of this month which was fixed for towards the end of May (17 months). Here are the relevant questions I want the people in the house to kindly assist me.

The letter reads among others: ' You must send the following documents to the tribunal at the above address and to the other party (to arrive) no later than 5 days before the date of Full Hearing.

1. witness statements of the evidence to be called at the hearing.

2. A bundle of all documents to be relied on at the hearing-these must be clearly page numbered, indexed and include a schedule identifying the essential passages. (The essential passages are any sections you consider highly significant in your appeal).

I will be very appreciative if I could be educated more about these two requirements and how we can go about it.

Thanks in advance

Hi Everyone,
After waiting patiently on the 60working days, a decision has finally been made. An email was sent to my madam today. This remaining days to pick up the documents seem longer than the 60working days. Fingers crossed.

On the other hand, I was informed that if they don't refund IHS fee to applicant, that it is a positive outcome. How true is this? I read somewhere that refunds can take up to 3months.

Fasting and all night don start o.

Attend your appointment with the documents you have on you. Have your wife send in the rest to Sheffield with photocopies and a self addressed and prepaid envelope so your originals can be returned to her

She doesn't need to send them back to you in Nigeria.
Its 2 pieces of 1 puzzle.
They would be matched up at Sheffield and your application would be processed

It doesn't matter who sent in what.

Hope this helps

tosine:
Thanks @Abbylove

I already sent my original documents like my UK masters degree, birth certificate, pictures and wedding certificate to my wife in the UK.

Is my wife not suppose to send them to sheffield?

I thought I would only submit my passport, application forms and TB certificate at the tls office in Nigeria. I intend to apply apply in January and I need to be sure of the documents I need to have with me and the documents my wife should have?

Please I need more info on this? Anybody that just applied can advise according. Thanks

Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Abbylove: 12:11pm On Dec 24, 2016
Lol.
No accidentally left behind luggage at all.
I packed all and in record time...*patting myself on the back*

The things here that are normal here are luxury product in 9ja...24/7 electricity, wifi, good service etc.

Oh well... make I go dey marinate our Christmas turkey jare. Christmas is almost here

Lexusgs430:

I know you have already done an Andrew, by checking out.
Just incase any luggage was accidentally left behind........
Now you see how Internet connection is not a luxury (if only you can package some WiFi connection for us)....
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Abbylove: 12:08pm On Dec 24, 2016
Compliments of the season to you too & congratulations in advance to you (Amen)

No.My application was non priority.
It said on the TLS website to not use priority service if you have had previous refusals.

I read here later about a few people who used priority service despite their refusal history and got their visas on time.

Wish i saw that earlier.

Horrible 12weeks + 3 working days it was to wait to know the outcome of our application. But it was worth the wait.

mizbee:

Hello Abbylove, compliments and Congratulations. Please, with the 2 refusals you had, did you use the priority service for your application?
Thanks.
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Abbylove: 11:53am On Dec 24, 2016
Hi Tosine.

At the Tls office I submitted (with photocopies):
- My passport (old and new)
- Original marriage certificate
- My university degree certificates
- evidence of our communication
- pictures
- IHS & Visa application receipts
- photocopy of NARIC certificate
-original medium of instruction letters from my universities
-birth certificate, tb test certificate, my biz registration documents and personal income tax certificate.

This was in September.
They stopped taking hardcopies since the 5th Dec. 2016.

Just know that all your personal documents would be accepted from you at the submission centre. While all documents originating from the UK should be sent in by your soonsor.

Hope this helps.
