Why the change of heart so soon bro? Other people that have used both OS have given me the impression that One Plus is the next best thing after sliced bread.

Maybe it is just my biased opinion sha. I can't make a strong objective case but miui feels smoother. Maybe the problem is that I'm comparing mi 8 to oneplus 5 sha. Maybe cos I've gotten used to miui but i felt like embracing my mi 8 after using the op5 for about 2 days.

Ladies and gentlemen.. I am happy to report that errm Oneplus is a good devices and the OS is a good OS. But I am happier to report that errm ayam coming back to miui as soon as my situation will allow.

Glo is a fantastic choice when it comes to allocated volume to price, but how good is their signal all over Nigeria?
What's the joy in having large volume of data and being unable to use it?
I stick to MTN because they have been the most consistent not just on Internet connectivity alone but also on all services.
However, I use other ISP when the need arise. A good example is 9mobile; their internet connectivity works exceptionally well abeit very expensive.

Mtn burns through my data like an oil tanker explosion. Yes mtn is better in general but if you're lucky enough to live in an area where glo is reliable like i do then glo is the cost effective choice.

True but mtn is also a data demon! This glo band 28 has transformed my life ehn, now mtn is just for backup. Using mtn as main data source is a risk factor for suicidal ideation

When you are experiencing heavy data usage, the first thing to do is to check your data usage statistics and not to start blaiming the ISP.

Monitorong your data usage statistics will give you a better insight into which app and services are utilizing your data the most. I believe the popular Social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram Snapchat etc are the major culprit in this regard.

Check the "Sync" settings, especially the Gallery. Ensure it is not set to sync your Photos with the cloud automatically.

If after monitoring the usage you now find out the usage statistics doesn't correspond with what your ISP is showing you as the remaining balance, then we can conclude you are being shortchanged.

No massive hit. It was open box when i got it so its not nearly as much of a loss. I am a bit of a reckless buyer though so this also fits into that pattern but honestly band 28 alone is going to make me sell the mi 8. I've been suffering with mtn since all these days. My glo 4g is buttery smooth in my room right now.

Actually i didn't pick the oneplus as much as it picked me. It was a swap deal but it's fine.

I'm not sure i ever used the front camera on my mi 8. I sort of hate selfies. So i can't really help with that but you don't need root to install gcam. I think genius43 has the link.

Hmm... But the main idea is to get rid of the ipad. I'm not actually looking to buy a oneplus, just figured It'll be easier to sell the phone once I've swapped and i get to play with oneplus as a bonus.

As someone who has used the OnePlus 5 in the past I can tell you the battery life isn't great but the advantage it has is that the dash charge is really good as your phone can go from 0-100% in 65mins. Battery life is average at best. You are better off getting a powerbank to support it.

If I can tweak it to stay at 30% after 12 hrs then I'll be fine wt it. It's a short term engagement anyway. Dash charge sounds fun. Wonder if they're referencing Dash from the incredibles

God forbid evil things. I'm swapping the ipad. If oneplus isn't so bad I'll stick wt it n sell mi 8 (can't use 2 phones). When my finances are in order I'll sell the oneplus and go for k20 pro or something similar at least a 4000mah battery. Mi 8 is perfect for me but for that battery wahala

The oneplus 5 is a 2017 device (in the class of s8,s8+). it will be easy to sell if your asking price is "good" (around 70-80kish).

I personally wouldn't invest much on a fairly used device if the deal is not too fantastic(recently got an lgv30+ 4/128gb,sd835 for 55k and that is what i would call a sweet deal). Will i buy oneplus 5 8/128gb in 2019 for 80/90k? The answer is NO.
