I used to complain about the vertical two-row display of miui's multitasking screen but I quickly learned to appreciate xiaomi; that horizontal multitasking screen is not the best. It's more tasking than it needs to be cos if you don't time your swipe well you'll either overshoot the app at the edge, which you're trying to select, or you'll not get to it. I got better at it eventually but it is unnecessary physics practical IMO

I hope this your battery graph is just meant for testing; i hope you don't regularly let your battery go that low before charging. Not good if you want it to continue being a beast

I use the MI 9T. I have noticed that I lose like 1-3% battery overnight. I normally switch off data or the WiFi before I sleep.

Is it normal or is there something I can do to fix it?

Question: Do I need to give any app "usage access"? Is it integral to the functionality of any of the listed apps or isiit merely meant to gather data and nothing more

I understand you, my friend, but ehh those issues aren't widespread and some had to do with the individual user. Even I thought rn7 battery performance wasn't as good as I expected but some issues merely need a software update. Patience is important in these things

For the past few months, I do wake up to my hotspot being used..like the phone automatically on my data and uses the hotspot.

I don't just know, it's driving me crazy.

Some time, I wake up to as high as 1gig used.

A30 to rn7. A30! I used A50 for about 2 weeks just onewweek ago and rn7 can comfortably get into the ring with it and even give it a concussion or two in some aspects. I dislike Samsung but I won't because of that open a post where I'm comparing A50 to redmi note 5. Bias is bias!

Somone pointed out that rn7 was complex, without bashing or blaming the device for the problem, yet another gang of counterfans decided to stick up for dear Xiaomi, which was not under attack.

There's a lot of Relevant background info to be considered here, including the way China works when it comes to Internet use and censorship.
The government monitors its citizens and the it has control over private Companies so it's not difficult to understand where those feelings emanated from. For all you know, those people were only able to chat with you cos they had access to a vpn

It's also true that companies mine data but some are worse than others. Google and Facebook are very concerning in my book and I try to restrict them as much as I can. I can't remember the last time I did a Google search or used chrome. These are small measures but it is something... I think

I am not surprised. Everybody has his own taste. Huawei and xiaomi continue to make good sales even in their home country.

From your post, it seems their main concern is privacy.

If one thinks of privacy too much, you will not even use a smartphone.
Whenever your data is on, just Know that you are not private.

Google, Truecaller, Facebook (including WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, etc) and other apps such as games, email apps, etc are uploading your contacts and other data to their servers. All in the name of giving you better "service"

Samsung, iphone, Huawei, xiaomi, etc all upload your data especially when you are sleeping or charging your phone.

In the end, you just have to choose who you want to have your info.
If you don't want Google to have your info, don't use Android or Google apps. Which is almost impossible.

The grip is quite good actually. It does not need to be housed in a case compulsorily but I'm putting mine in a pouch cos of the small camera bump.

Like I said earlier, it is a bit heavy, although I suppose it's unfair comparingiit's weight to that of the A50, which is paper in comparison

I don't play pubg etc so I can't speak about those but in day to day function the speed does not feel different than my old mi 8's, so it's mighty fine for me

I am welcome back to Xiaomi . It was a painful couple of weeks but fate (sorry, cash) has finally led me back here.

Mi 9t is heavy but ehh it's also sweet. It's like they took my rn5 to the workshop and upgraded the living crap out of it but remembered to leave that top bar that I like so much.
