Yeah its... Compulsory
It's a diploma course
There is a document I will procure when I get there to get work permit Yes it's my uncle that wants to sponsor me. Can i see a copy of ur sponsorship letter? Is only his certified international passport okay? Tuition fees deposit is compulsory? Do you mean for your school or that is enforced by Visa embassy to issue student visa? OTHER GURUS PLEASE RESPOND I await your prompt response. Thanks |

Nadratan: Travelstart is not an airline... Example of airlines are South Africa Airways (flysaa), Kenya airways, Rwanda Airways, Ethiopia Airways etc... like I advised, use flysaa...and the process of reservation is very easy. You have to make the booking on the day you want to go and submit your application. its very fast, you should be done under 10mins.
And while filling, please ignore the VAT INVOICE option.... You don't need it. Thanks for your response (pls reply my pm). Can you help with with link of south Africa airways (flysaa)? Why can't i book before the day i want to submit my application? Will they deduct any money for the reservation? I await your response. Thanks. |

Nadratan: Book directly from the airline. You can use South Africa Airways. Even though the reservation is going to be cancelled after 5 days, its still going to serve its purpose. just make sure you book directly from the airline. Its not going to cost you anything. But I'd advise you use South African Airways. Directly from the airline? I hope travelstart.com.ng is an example of that?. Cancelled after 5 days? I want to submit my visa application by January, can i still make the reservation now, i mean today? Finally while i was filling the reservation on travelstart, i have two first names, which i input but it's joining them together (like DayoAbiola instead of Dayo Abiola), can anyone say something about this? Also at the last stage before booking there is an option for "i require VAT invoice" should i click on it? When i clicked on it, it brings out some info to fill including company name and company VAT, what do i fill here? Is it necessary i click on the option "i require VAT invoice"? What's the essence of VAT invoice? Your response would be greatly appreciated Gurus. Thanks |

imoniyi: @abdullahi45. What school are u attending? And did u get ur admission letter and visa yet. U could check for off campus accommodation. Or students commune. Cos hotel might be expensive or maybe far from the school UFS, i got my offer letter already but on the verge of applying for my visa. Do you think off campus accommodation will be better and cheaper than on campus? I was only referring to hotel reservation which i will just use to show to submit my visa application, since i haven't obtained school accommodation yet. Like i was told a residence in form of hotel reservation or school hostel is also a prerequisite for submitting visa application. What do you think i can do? |

timmiey: Its as simple as going into a bank and telling them you want to pay for tuition abroad. You get to fill a form A. That's what the form is called.
Also I don't think its advisable to get the money in your account bit by bit. You don't have time on your side considering Jan 22 is your enrolment date. Alright. Thanks for the info. |

Does it matter if the whole money is transferred into my account at once, guru justwise and co?
It's very urgent i need to resume to school by Jan 22, which is the deadline for registration.
About how the money got to my acct? Do you mean they may ask during interview? Can i just tell them (I mean during interview) that my uncle transfered it to me as he was ready to sponsor me?
Thanks |

It seems you have not printed the forms yet, if not you would have seen on the form where the Doctor should put his or her stamp.
Next time, don't wait till last minute before you start looking for information or assistance. I appreciate boss |

greiboy: hello boss, I just drop this here to help others
All documents required to process a South African study permit is easy
You need to print out a form on the vfs website. The back of the form contains all the information you need
To get the police clearance : go to the central police station in your location. Tell them you want to get a police clearance to process a South African visa. They will take you to the office and collect your passport number. You will also be required to do some finger print. They could charge you from 6500 to 10000 naira for the services depending on your location
To get yellow card; you can get a yellow card at the local government offices or the muritala Muhammad airport (Mma). They will ask you to take some injection for immunization. Prices ranges from 1k to 4k depending on location
To get medical and radiological report; You need to print out forms for both reports from the vfs website. Then take this forms to a government hospital to be signed by a medical doctor and stamped with the hospital stamp. This could cost 2k upwards.
The id of your sponsor may be certified if you want. it really depends on you.
hope that helps Thanks boss |

despam: You will get Police report at Force CIID Alagbon, Lagos. It supposed to be free but they will collect between 3-5k or more depending on your bargaining power. Print the medical and radiological report forms and take it to any hospital, the Doctor will sign it for you. The Doctor will ask you to do some tests after which, he will sign the forms for you. Most Doctors will only sign after you have done all the tests they asked you to do. The costs of the tests vary from one hospital to another.
You will get Yellow card from Port Health Authority. It supposed to be free but they will collect 1k or so. Should the hospital be general hospital/federal? or i can do it also in private hospital too? Does the Dr needs to put his stamp? |

ID data page, international passport data page, proof of residence, utility bill, letter of introduction, bank statement
All should be certified. No oo, he is not in south Africa, he is in Nigeria. I was only asking that can he provide his international passport instead of National ID card or driver's licence? Letter of introduction from him again? I thought i am the one to provide that? I am getting a bit confused bro. Please let me get you. Hayzed212: Yes he can forward all the money into your parent personal account or your own personal account, unless that your uncle has adopted you and can back it up with certificate of adoption. About campus issue, that's a choice you only take decide on, if you want the campus accommodation, you are free and if you also want off campus, you also free. so look at things you wants and decide Good morning Gurus. My tuition fee plus maintenance fee for the first year of my MSc is #9m, i hope it won't be stupid of me if i ask him to transfer the whole 9m to my account or my parent account at once? I mean my uncle. I hope UK visa embassy don't care about how the money got there or i need to explain to them? Is it advisable for him to only send the #9m alone without adding anything knowing fully well i don't have any money in my account (or parent account)? I am going for 2yrs MSc i hope proof of tuition fee and maintenance fee for first year alone will suffice to get a visa? Thanks in anticipation. |

greiboy: Sorry about the pm thing
send a mail to the email on my signature instead
Yes, asides the soa itself, your sponsor should also provide a photocopy of any I.D i.e. his drivers license, his national identity card etc.
On the statement of account, your sponsor must have a closing balance more than money you need for your tuition, air tickets and accommodation. The cash flow must also be good.
say for example you need 3m for accommodation, air ticket and feeding. Your sponsor must have at least 5m in his closing balance, otherwise the embassy will reject your application on the basis of insufficient funds The cash flow must also be good.
on the issue of other documents you need, what are the documents you have ready?
Do you have your police report/ clearance
Medical report
hope I helped Thanks boss. I have sent you mail already. As for my sponsor ID, can he also use his international passport? Must it be certified copy? I don't have any doc yet bro aside my offer letter, undertaking from sch to embassy and saqa. I know i need police report, medical and radiological report & yellow card but i don't know where exactly to get them and the cost. Please help. Thanks guru. |

greiboy: I don't think not sharing the same surname will be an issue The sponsor though must demonstrate the relationship between you two. it must be stated in his letter and perhaps he might also state why you have different surname. for more information on that Google" sponsors letter to embassies"
it is better he types it to make it look neat. He can do it with a letter head if he wants to, but it must be addressed to the embassy.
An introduction letter introduces you, your educational background, the school you have chosen, why you have chosen to further your studies. For more information on that Google" introduction letter to embassies"
Note; the most important thing when processing a Southafrica visa is the six months bank statement. Make sure the account is well funded and it is not a fake
other things you need to know fill the visa form with a black biro, make sure you write everything with capital letters
make a color photocopy of your yellow card and passport data page
Although this things are done inside Vfs office
hope I helped You have really helped, i must confess (pls reply my pm). What else do i need from my sponsor aside the Sponsor letter and SOA? Yeah you said the Account should be well funded, like how much is expected? My tuition fee, accommodation and living expenses costs around #3.0m |

Nadratan: Hello Abdulai, South Africa embassy doesn't accept third-party hotel booking, you will have to make the booking directly with the hotel. You can state it in your letter that you will be staying with your uncle since he is inviting you. Ask your uncle to state it in his letter to that you will be staying with him. And ask him for all documents like proof of residence Thanks for the info. My uncle (sponsor) is not in SA, he is in naija please don't get me wrong. I was only asking earlier that can he sponsor as we share no same surname.
