Keep your last two major course for last. Defer if need be or take one major course pluse additional or borrowed course and do same for the last major course. Again you could just apply for another short course to add up to the 2yrs mark.
How do you mean please expatiate.. Thanks

Furthermore, if you're gonna be self sponsored, it will be important to show proof on how you got those funds.

For me, I am also self sponsored too, but I had to prove to them that i have been working in a bank for the past 7years, and that the funds in my account has been personal savings since inception of my career. Also, i got my Treasury dept. to come up with a statement showing that i have been saving and investing N2m every year out of my salary . . . I also provided my salary slips and tax renditions to back up my annual income.

Better still dear, if you can't go through these hassles, let your close relative sponsor you (a relative that has a workable source of income). Even though the funds are in your account, let the sponsor write his/her convincing sponsorship letter and stress that to enable ease of access of my "daughter" (you) to the funds, your sponsor had transferred the funds to your account. My cousin did that and it was very sufficient.
I need your help regarding sponsor palaver. Please reply me pm Guru

Do you have work experience in this field?

When did you graduate?

You may likely get admission into graduate nursing if u have experience in that regard.
. I graduated in 2016. I have a year NYSC experience as Microbiology Lab technology at a university. Aside this I also have 6 months IT experience at uch, Ibadan

Is PR residence only available for 2yrs Msc.. What about 1 yr or 1.5yr
Msc?

What's the advantage of 2yrs Msc, over 1.5 and 1 yr?

What about if you are scared and you are not sure you will be able to
afford the tuition fee and living expenses for 2yrs... What can one do?
What is the trick?

If one sponsor only has like 10m to sponsor someone and the tuition
fee alone is like 50,000 AUD (I.e 14m) for the 2yrs... What can one
do?.

Australia is too damn expensive.. I don't know what to do again.

And also is it true AL1 doesn't request for one SOA before they give admission? What about Embassy do they request for one SOA.?..

Please advise...
Please kindly take Time to answer my questions as I am a novice.

I've gotten heaps of pms since my last post about social work degrees. I'm terribly sorry, I can't respond to each pm cos I'm very busy at the moment. So I'll try and summarize it all in this post:

You're still eligible for AASW membership whether the Uni's accreditation is provisional or full, and you'll still get great jobs.

Bachelor of Nursing graduate entry is eligible for PR post graduation cos you're eligible for APHRA registration and the course' duration is 2 years.

Master's in economics will neither lead to PR nor good jobs in Australia so choose wisely.

IT is saturated by Indians, getting PR or a good job after graduation may be quite tough but not impossible.

Social work is a good alternative for those who cant study nursing, and I thought I should let people know that nursing isn't the only good thing out there. But please don't send me pms asking me to look for cheap schools for you, that's your job not mine and it's really infuriating.

And lastly, I can't comment on job situations in Melbourne and other cities, I can only comment on Sydney.
I have BSc in Microbiology from a university in Nigeria... Thinking of pursuing Msc in Microbiology or Biotechnology in Aussie but the tuition seems so high... What can I do. And both Microbiology and Biotechnology are on the skills list..
How does nursing parol looks like? Is it cheap to pursue?

Or what can you advise? Please help ooo

I have some inquiries to make please;

How do i get referral code/note from my prospective schools in Australia, when I tried applying via BCIE they ask of my referral code/note and they told me if i don't have it, i will have to pay 75K. Help please?

Also can I apply for admission and secure admission to Australian Universities without using the school agents? I hope applying myself won't delay the process?

Can someone help me with some list of schools in Australia that doesn't require Application fees?

No discrimination. No school accepts Nigerians more. But there are a lot of Nigerians at the University of Saskatchewan. I think only one school in the entire Canada that I have seen that singles Nigerians out by name to take TOEFL. You have to do your research, Google is there for you. If you send me a list of schools you find and want to apply to, I can help categorize them for you based on level of difficulty of getting in. Best.

Hi,

please post your question on the thread below to get a better response from more experienced members.

https://www.nairaland.com/3053069/general-guide-australian-permanent-resident

The thread provides a complete guide to the process of applying.

It also boasts of active members who respond to confusing questions you face.

You'd need to state how you arrived at 50 points before anyone can suggest other options.

Yes, there are assessment bodies that must assess your qualification before you can use it for the skilled migration.
But I'm not sure which one assesses Microbiology.
So, you'd have to visit the thread above and ask there.

CDR means Competency Demonstration Report.

Cheers!
What type visa will i apply for if i want to follow skilled migration to Australia?

Is Microbiology or Biotechnology part of the list of skills for pr in Aussie.

Thanks boss..

I was once a student. The stress of trying to stay back after studies is no joke. I wouldn't wish it on my enemy. Why would you want to pay thousands of dollars for studies if you can go the PR route?

I don't know how many times I have said this "Many employers do not really care for Masters/Phd, e.t.c here. They are all about experience. What you have done work/job wise. I was very interested in public health/infectious disease and did a masters degree at a University in Perth. Believe me when I say that I have never used my Masters degree to find work. My experience(s) so far have sufficed.

The government is changing immigration rules. You and I do not know what rules will change before you finish your course.

If you have the experience, try the PR route and then do your masters when you get here. As a PR you've secured your stay whether you find a job after studies or not plus the school fees will be a lot cheaper

Good Luck
So what are you advising someone like me boss. I have BSc in Microbiology and i intend to pursue Msc in Infectious diseases, Microbiology, Biomedical science or Biotechnology... Should i just move in for the Msc, i hope my program is on the Australian skills list.

Or do you advise I find my way through the skilled migration. I have no experience except my undergraduate Siwes and 1yr NYSC at a university mcb lab. I have TOEFL result less than 90.

Please advise me accordingly boss.

Thanks in anticipation

catchdwind4rmkd:
For as much as your undergraduate degree is obtained in Nigeria, you must do your CDR whether you're claiming points for employment or not. This is because the Migration Skills Assessment (MSA) is primarily based on your undergraduate degree.

Also, I don't think you can assess your employment skills without assessing your educational qualifications. The reverse is only possible; i.e. you can assess your education without assessing work skills but NOT vice-versa.

Finally, though the MSA is based on first degree, Engineers Australia (EA) requires information and evidence of all further learning. Your MSC is assessed in combination with your first degree at no extra cost. Extra cost is applied only when assessing a PhD. To be clear, you don't have to assess both of your degrees, what's important is your BSC. But you don't lose anything in submitting both for assessment since it's done at the same fee. Personally, I feel your MSC will be an added advantage. Besides, you'll stilly list it in your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) if applicable.

Best Wishes

@abdullahi45

You may not need SAQA for some schools but its best you do it to know you stance. You most likely do honours has you have a 4yrs Bsc.

About application fee, if you serious enough you wouldn't bother on that. Highest application fee you get to pay is maybe R300 which is less than 9k in Naira. You gonna be paying school fees in millions, so why escaping.

Even in 9ja lowest application fee you can pay for postgraduate is 10k if not 25k.

Thecassanova:
The school has its own verification and evaluation process. They don't require SAQA, same has UCT. But a bonus if you have it, under document upload you see evaluation which you can decide to upload.

I would advice you to maximize your options and apply to other schools. It's easier to get admission for MSc and PhD than Honours. It's very competitive for SA citizens and most schools take just 1 or 2 students from foreign universities.

I hope your last year undergraduate CGPA is 60% and above.
Do you mean honours is more competitive than Msc and PhD?
