davidylan: Derailing how? Project much? Or are you finding it difficult to reconcile your own hypocrisy? You told us that men sleep with women on the street like dogs... you also told us that in saudi arabia, women are treated like queens... why on earth are you still in the US then? Why are majority of muslims rushing to western nations and completely ignoring the utopia that is saudi arabia?

The claim that only countries operating full sharia are islamist countries is a pathetic excuse. So by your standard, not even saudi arabia qualifies as a muslim country? There is no point debating that.
Davidylan, you have given him the perfect answer.

They like to hail sharia values in Saudi Arabia but they prefer to live in the Western USA or UK.

tunshe: Telling me to keep quiet is rude!

Is there gender equality in Nigeria where you live?

When we have a female governor or President in Nigeria, then your point will be considered for discussion.
Are you a Nigerian or an Arab slave to the Saudi?

At least women can drive in Nigeria and do not need male guardianship
Nairaland GeneralRe: The Ten Worst Countries For Women by AbdulSleek(m): 9:16pm On Sep 06, 2014
tunshe: That's your definition of freedom.

In Saudi Arabia, male too have their restrictions.

It's not about feminism or gender, it's about the kind of society they cherish as a people.

Don't try to gain sentiments from ladies here.
Dont worry, I am not interesting in impressing any female here.

I am just surprised at your denial of the gender discrimination of Saudi Arabia
Nairaland GeneralRe: The Ten Worst Countries For Women by AbdulSleek(m): 9:13pm On Sep 06, 2014
tunshe: Now I know you lack comprehension skill.

I just read the link and it shows the beauty of transparency and beauty of the law. You can't lie or claim someone raped you without evidence.

Something happened to a player here in the US. A lady claimed he raped her and the guy was sentenced loosing his career and life goals. After several years, the lady boasted about how he sent the to jail and someone had it recorded. This was how the guy gained his freedom.

This can NEVER happen in Saudi Arabia with this law.

Show me where it's written in the link that Saudi Arabia under reports ra'pe cases?
grin grin

What is the conclusion from this passage about rape in Saudi?

Absence of evidence
It has been pointed that the loose trial rules, as well as the physical evidences, are not presented or declined due to the 4 witnesses rule of Sharia Law.
Lawyer Abdul-Aziz al-Gassem told that Sharia law allows the defendants to deny any signed confession, he further adds that "The lack of transparency in the investigation, the trial and the sentencing, plus the difficulties that journalists have to get access lead to deep a darkness where everything is possible."[8]

tunshe: What's your definition of freedom? Do whatever you like?

Every society have their norms and it has to be respected as long as it provides benefit and doesn't cause harm.
Freedom for women to show their faces without fear

Freedom for women to drive to wherever they want in country

Freedom for women to work/walk without a male guardian

Freedom of women to marry their choice, not just a family approved muslim

Freedom of women to embrace their sexuality and not be judged by their virginity

striktlymi: 'Life' and energy are not different.

@Bold: That too creates a logical conflict. It is in God's nature to live. You can't ask him to die and live at the same time. Your question is not valid.

By the way, who did you offend this time to merit a ban? I presume your other moniker was banned.
cheesy Banned by the Sultan himself...Alhaji Macbantunji. It was an honour wink

Now, unto the topic, life and energy are different. One can be dead and still have energy in the body.

What do you mean that it is God's nature to live? Scriptural backing please.

Death is natural. To say that it is in God's nature not to die is a contradiction.

Can you please read again?
A country that doesnt give women freedom is not a good country for women.

Hence, Saudi is in the list wink

tunshe: Go and sleep!

If I hate the US, I won't be here making ends meet.

The point is that Saudi Arabia upholds morality and US allows free mixing and it encourages immorality.

That's obvious to everyone! Ra'pe is still a serious problem here, compare the rates between Saudi Arabia and USA.

I didn't mention religion here just an obvious fact to only the sensible.

About women not driving in Saudi Arabia, make a research and find out why.
I can see that you are one step away from being a militant.

Even your fellow muslims want women to drive in Saudi. Also, Saudi has under-reported r.ape and so for all we know, it could be worse.

tunshe: A list from biased minds!

Placing Saudi Arabia on that list a very wrong submission.

Because Saudi Arabia refuses to allow women mix freely with men? They would have been delisted if they allowed men Bleep women like dogs on streets like here in the US?

A society that caters for women needs, why must a woman drive when male drivers, husband or relatives can take them out when they wish? Is driving a car the priority or getting to your destination?

I see this as a respect to women rather than marginalisation.

Thumbs up to Saudi Arabia for treating women as the most valuable being.
Sorry, but I have to say that you are a biased muslim.

Saudi Arabia is the only country that women cant drive.

And your hatred for the west as a biased muslim has led you to stereotype USA as a place where public se.x is normal. It is illegal there

Why is islam the worst religion when it comes to dealing with atheists?

It is the hardest oppressor of atheism in the world.

How do muslims answer this issue?

IslamRe: Non-muslims Vs Muslims Debate At Work! by AbdulSleek(op): 12:31am On Oct 14, 2012
Avicenna: @Abdulsleek

I'm an atheist. Ex-muslim.
I left Islam because I do not agree with it. Some morals, some punishments.......

I have no belief in God because we have no evidence for him. Its that simple.

You said somewhere that Allah is wrong.

I agree with you. COMPLETELY WRONG. I was told to never put my morals or principles before Allah's own. I'm not sorry, my reason says different. I have no interest in worshipping an ignorant God( no offence).

This your questions will finally lead you 'astray'. Not necessarily into atheism but you will definitely leave the religion. Maybe become a deist if you still believe in God.

/My point is, trying to find answers here is futile. You will get rationalizations. And rationalizations. And finally, a GODDAMN take it or leave it.

I left it.
I am really starting to wonder myself. The failed answers that I hae been getting are quite depressing.

i. Logicboy does not discuss Islam without a reference to the fact that Muslim women do not marry non-muslim men... This definitely raised a red flag:

It is like an obsession for him

ii. Logicboy ends his arguments, whenever he feels he has made a point with a smiley... Another red flag, as there was no need for it..

There are a few more, but these are common logic boy signatures...

Many people put smileys on their comments for effect as well. I think, you are used to living with muslims that dont ask questions.

IslamRe: Umar II: A Template Of How An Islamic State Should Operate by AbdulSleek(m): 8:46pm On Oct 12, 2012
The general princely class of that time could not digest these policies of justice, simplicity and equality. A slave of the caliph was bribed to administer the deadly poison to him. The caliph having felt the effect of the poison sent for the slave and asked him why he had poisoned him. The slave replied that he was given 1,000 dinars for the job. The caliph took the amount from him and deposited it in Bait Al Maal. Freeing the slave he asked him to leave the place immediately, lest anyone might kill him. This was his last deposit in the Bait Al-Maal for the welfare of Muslims.
When I say that I am losing my faith, my fellow muslims on Nairaland complain!

I have read the history of Umar II but I have never heard of this "slave poison".

All of you on this thread are praising each other for this exaggerated claims about Umar II. Umar II was a great leader but we should not lie and sweeten his story to a diabetic level.

The implication of the above quote;

-Umar allowed slavery under his regime
-If Umar died at the hands of a slave. Imagine if he had freed all slaves durign his reign. He wouldt have died by the hands of a slave.
IslamRe: Non-muslims Vs Muslims Debate At Work! by AbdulSleek(op): 8:34pm On Oct 12, 2012
maclatunji: Obviously, you have a problem with comprehension- I said there was once an Islamic state where there was virtually nobody to give Zakat to, you said it's a lie. I pointed you to the thread on Umar II where a detailed explanation of economic reforms, growth and general well-being of citizens of the Islamic state is given under him. It is clearly stated that it got to a point that alms giving became difficult because there was hardly anybody that wanted or needed it. All of this was achieved using the Islamic Economic Model without Riba.

So, what on earth are you going-on about? Make we see front ... commot for road jare.
I stopped taking you seriously from page 1 of the thread.

Now, unless you live in some socialist utopia, there is no way your claims of Zero Zakat is true.

You are brainwashed if you really believe that in the 8th century, poverty was alleviated by an economic system that had slavery or indentured labour and dhimmitude.
