I was in Naija in the summer and i have plans to be visit in 2009 xmas season, |
guys i beg make una halla back ooooh, |
Hi fellow Nigerians! Just curious about does that travelled to Nigeria for the Xmas and new year celebration. How was your stay? Will like you to share your experience and fotos with us. Your comments and foto's as a resident in Nigeria will also be appreciated |
Will like to say a happy xmas and a properous coming new year to my Family in Lagos. Hope to see you all next year and i will be spending my xmas 2009 in Lagos, Xmas is boring without your fam. The best of dreams in 2009 and accomplishment. Thanks |
@bigmondo I thought you meant places not cities in Lagos. Thats not even funny, when i was in Lagos i had people say i live in a village in Lagos! That makes me wonder if Lagos is a Mega city how can u have a village in a city? A village in New york or Parijs would have been better. |
I had it used to be like that but things has changed now with the advent of GSM and internet, Say for the Dutch consulate at Abuja all you need is ring them(sometimes difficult to connect) and you can fix a date for submittions and other stuffs, While for collections and confirmations you can jus walk in during the day. People migrate for different reasons not only in search of greener pastures also in quest for education. Even Hausás now travel in numbers as students and business men. But i still believe in Nigeria as world economy with good administration and mentality change. Good bye. |
I drove a mercedes benz in Lagos and i really liked it,very strong but expensive to fix. You will always find someone who can fix it when it breaks down and parts are found every where you turn to, Durable,,chic, rugged and feared by many, |
@Iyaeto, Me think is a toyota and it was crushed by a benz. Those cars are economically cool but are jus to lite for Lagos traffic. |
Dis lagos wey we dey so na wa own! Stylee stylee(DJ Jimmy Jatt) Ewa ti eko This summer i was in Lagos and i had my driving lessons as well. To drive in Lagos you have to be aggressive and fearless of other road users. I had my first driving lesson at VGC and it was very nice, till i went to the major road. My first week in Lagos my younger had a crash and i had to cough out €300- to settle the mishap. To me driving in Lagos is spiritual and deserves God's hands in bringing you to your destination. I had crashes and lost both side mirrors. When ever you are driving in Lagos always have enough money for unseen breakdowns. Getting gas during the summer strike was hell and very expensive, I could not believe my eyes when i started contending with Lagosians but i had to pay the price. I drove the third mainland bridge and had many more long distances. There where lots of deadly crashes and people attributed it to the devil's works cos Xmas was at the corner, The hold ups are mind and business killing. could you believe i started taking bikes jus to beat hold ups while i had a car, @ 2009 i will b back to rock the Naija road again to the core.D |
Me grandma once told me a story and it goes like this, "Their use too be a rich white man and he had a bird he really cared for.The bird was spoilt and well feed, but still the bird was not satisfied and longed to go back home, on this memorable day he said to his loving rich friend oom his oom(home is home). The rich man was sad and decided to bug the bird and let him have his freedom. The rich man later went on a search for his good friend and he found him in a dirty environment and he was looking hungry but he was glad to be home" Where is your home? Lets be proud of who we are and not where we live, |
I will buy the central bank and declare Nigeria bankrupt hisssssssssss Look at me whatever you are called. Our only problem is corruption and improper allocation of funds, while we are been governed by want to be a popstar mobsters. In Europe all i see is nihil corruption and good management of funds while Political Party members and ministers here are pooor as church rat. You don't go into politics to enrich you self. Do you read forbes?99% of the richest people in the world are business man, artiest, inventers and top ceo's and not Politicians are army generals.Hissss and leaves for a glass of wine. |

Na wah o! I am out of here. |
@ lielah Where you in Lagos this summer? Congrats, |
In the future i will like to do business in Lagos and also be round me fam and friends. Will shuttle between the two continent or more, |
Dis Lagos wey dey so na our stylee, stylee Dis street wey u dey see so na our zone stylee, stylee Have a nice stay in Lagos and have fun. The thing about Lagos is you can tell what makes it interesting. |
The masses are responsible. Look at the last election we just accepted it and talk about it. That will not happen in Hungary and other third world countries. I think the majority shoulb be blamed, yoruba and hausa. They occupy nearly every top position in the country. |
Was also on a Visit and stayed in Lagoas and Abuja. To my surprise Abuja was almost like Europe with some lose ends. NIce drainage and sewage connections. The pubs are very good and accessible. Large houses and beautiful lawn filled with grasses. Abuja is the place to buy a propeerty if you can afford it. I felt safe in Naija for the first time. While there is upperclass living the life in Abuja also is the poor folk living next to them in shanty houses and caves. The difference is just wide in financiel terms. I really enjoyed me stay in ABuja and also boarded at the Nnamdi Azikwe international airport. Safe and there where no touts.clean and safe at the same time. But the government still need some lots of works to do there and they should not stop at that, Abuja rocks and while Lagos is still dey place to be. |

All i did was to use the Chrysler 300 C as a point of reference. But generally automobiles are very cheap compare to Europe and mostly Holland at the top. There a lots of factors that contributes to this enorm price difference. The Dutch law is almost against the use of new cars and unfriendly enviromental cars. The Dutch law favours the purchase of used cars to new ones(disconjection). Hummers and trucks are frown upon here and there is debate on cars above 2 tons where be a thing of the past. While American encourages new and heavy duty cars. 68,000 new and used cars where imported from Germany to dodge the expensive price in Holland but there is still other price to pay and you can save some nice amount of cash. While buying from America is frown upon by the Europeans with closed teeth. American cars are nice for Naija as there are less restrictions, taxes and requirement, Buy a car in America and use it Naija, No tax, insurance, cheap gas and nil annual periodic check, Cheap specialized enginers to fix your car at your call. |
