Ugaboy:I complied countries according to my own research! It would be great if you also share your findings then. so more people will receive useful information! |
Hello my people! Today I'll tell you about the countries in the article in which you can certainly get a scholarship and recommend the service that will help to find programs all over the globe. ![]() To study abroad for free, it is not necessary to be a rocket scientist! After all, there are so many different scholarships from the state, universities, from commercial and non-profit organizations and foundations. You can count on material support in a difficult financial situation, social scholarship or financing for special achievements. In order for you to have a better chance to study abroad, we have compiled a list of countries in which you can certainly get a scholarship. Germany A particularly popular country for admission among students from all over the world. And no wonder: in Germany, almost all universities are free of charge, and the country's largest scholarship fund — DAAD., provides a scholarship for living Not surprisingly, there's a lot of both places and people wishing to win a scholarship. France Education in France is free on most programs, which means that you will need to gather documents, write motivation and recommendation letters only for the program itself and when applying for state scholarship for living. In cases where education is paid, additional scholarships can be obtained from universities and non-government scholarship funds. Moreover, every foreign student has the right to receive a monthly partial compensation for the cost of renting a dwelling. Italy In Italy, in addition to the relatively low tuition fees (an average of €1-2 thousand per year), many students from all countries are attracted by the opportunity to win a scholarship for those who find it financially hard to pay for their tuition. Moreover, the cost of accommodation is also quite low. The applicant, together with a standard package of documents, provides information about the annual income of his family. The possibility of obtaining a scholarship and its size depends on its level: the lower the income, the more likely it will be. Czech Republic Education in the Czech Republic is completely free... in Czech! This country is friendly to foreign students and provides the opportunity to study Czech language courses one year before entering university. Foreigners can receive scholarships for a language year. Scholarship selection criteria is much easier than university admission. After passing such a language year, an entrance examination in the Czech language is required. You can read about language courses on the website of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic. Hungary The Hungarian Government Scholarship covers not only academic degrees (bachelor, master's, postgraduate) but also preparatory and specialized courses. In addition to the study, the student has accommodation paid for and a monthly allowance of 130-580 euros (depending on the chosen program). There is a pleasant bonus for citizens of Russia and Belarus (and not only) - with a scholarship you can study both full-time and part-time. China Thought it's easier to get a scholarship only in Europe? No, it isn't! You can study in Asia absolutely free of charge and in English with an educational grant. The most famous grant of China is provided by the government of China and fully covers not only study, but also accommodation. A monthly scholarship of $500-600 is paid to the student. But, unfortunately, right after graduation from the university you will not be able to get a job, because under the new laws of China, a working visa is issued only in the presence of two years of experience. So you will have to either get this experience before entering the university (for example, work a little between your bachelor's and master's degree) or return to your country for 2 years after graduation. If you want to know more about scholarships and grants, ask your questions. I will try to help you! ![]() Also, look for the website StudyFree: https://international.studyfree.org/ They have a platform where they compiled scholarships and grants all over the world. Thanks for useful tips! |
Slimpotter:It's necessary documents for application abroad (SOME of the documents because the list of the documents can depend on the university you apply to). 1) An authorized translation of your previous or current degree and transcripts (it's translation of your diploma (bachelor), thesis work and statements of results. all information should be in English) 2) A Motivation letter/Essay/Personal Statement/Statement of Purpose. 70% of your ultimate success really depends on this paper! 3)Copies of your letters of reference. 4)Language certificates. For studying in English — IELTS Academic(6.5 and above) or TOEFL. When you choose the university, you can see the requirements and find the necessary information about the documents. I hope I managed to answer your question. |
imustmakeit:It depends on the scholarship. There're two types of scholarships: government-sponsored and university-sponsored. Government-sponsored scholarships usually provide the largest coverage. Countries with large government scholarships for international students: China, Germany, France, Italy, Korea, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway. University-sponsored scholarships usually partially or fully cover tuition fee and don't cover living allowance. |
Slimpotter:I know that top countries where you can study Food Science and Technology is Canada, Australia, Malaysia, China. I’ve heard that Monash University Malaysia is a good one |
Slimpotter:I will. The first semester begins in September-October |
Slimpotter:It’s statements of the results as well as if you want to obtain masters degree, it’s necessary to translate your thesis work (in case it isn’t in English) |
c4tnoelz:Oh bro, 2.2 isn’t the best result but if you have some achievements in other areas (for example, extracurricular activities, volunteering) your chances for enrollment can increase. Look for Masters in international relations in Europe: Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia. It’s countries where chances for enrollment with low GPA are pretty good. |
nams77:Best PhD in Environmental Studies are in Europe. Also, universities in Sweden, Finland, Norway provide research grants for those who want to obtain PhD in Environmental studies. |
OYENIYIJK:Thank you my brother!! God bless us |
itsmolep:My scholarship is not for undergraduates. However, China has also scholarships for undergraduates. Look them through ![]() |
maiyee:When you’re planning to obtain master’s degree after the bachelors, you need the transcripts and translation of your previous degree. Also, English language exams are required. However, you can discuss your current situation with the university you applied to. Maybe they can advise you something because every situation is specific. |
Fastestmanalive:I highly recommend to look for DAAD Master’s Scholarships for Public Policy and Good Governance (PPGG). It’s a scholarship for students from Africa, Latin America, South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. I should mention that this scholarship is for master’s degree. |
Ugaboy:Bro, if you want to obtain bc in mathematics, you can find this program all over the world because this discipline is very popular (it can be China, European Countries or Canada). However, Canada doesn’t provide many scholarships with full coverage like other countries. For bc you need to see the requirements on the site of the university you will apply to but usually you need good GPA, English proficiency test (if you’re willing to study in English), reference letters, letters of motivation. |
TONYE001:Sorry for breaking the trust! I never wanted to deceive someone. I wanted to help with a piece of advice and make more students know about scholarships and company that helped me. That’s why I decided that my friends could help me. But I made a mistake.... I understand my fault. Sorry! I |
OYENIYIJK:Hello Nairalanders! I want to explain what has happened in this situation. I’m just a simple student who found StudyFree. I will not hesitate to mention that this company helped me. Unfortunately, not so many Nigerians know about this company and I decided to tell my story and asked my friends to log in to help me in this promotion. I didn’t want to look suspicious or hurt somebody’s feelings. I beg pardon. I don’t want to make troubles for this wonderful company and their good team. Sorry guys for looking suspicious! I understand my fault! PS. I will continue answering questions of other users who asked for help in scholarships because my experience would be helpful. But then I will never ask my friends with different monikers help in promotion or something else. Sorry bros for breaking the trust! |
Femolacaster:Sometimes you can have low CGPA but have experience in extracurricular activities or some professional expertise that will help you to be a suitable candidate. Try to search for programs in Europe: Italy, Hungary, the Checz Republic for example. |
NDSMELODY:Unfortunately, it's hard. Universities where lectures are taught in English require you to take English proficiency test as IELTS or TOEFL. If you do not have these exams but have another English language proficiency test, you can get fully funded scholarships at many countries and universities, including universities of USA, Canada. But if you do not have any English language proficiency test, you can get scholarships from universities where lessons are not taught in English. For example, many universities of Germany do not require you English language proficiency test, lessons there are taught in German. Consequently they will require you test of proficiency of German language. But you can find scholarships which covers the cost of the exams! Search in the Internet! Wish you good luck!! |
kollinskollins:, I recommend Italy because at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore there's Cattolica Africa Scholarship available to students from Africa who are studying within agriculture and food economics. Also you can check out Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. It's one of the best for international students! |
xendercage:I could advise you European countries like Germany, Netherlands. Also, look for China because China offers a lot of scholarships for international students. However, I found my program on StudyFree platform. Here's the link: https://international.studyfree.org/africa They really helped me!!! ![]() |
Dear Nairalanders! My name is Abeo. Today I'm here to tell you how I managed to apply to the university of my choice abroad within Computer Science and Technology in China and got a fully funded scholarship. I will share every detail of my personal experience and I believe every Nigerian out there will find this very useful. I will share some very important tips and I will try to answer as many questions as I can. TIP 1. Once you have chosen your field of study , it is important to choose the appropriate country. For those in the technical field it is better to go to countries like Germany, Czech Republic and the United States. Also, there are very amazing Asian countries too, like : Singapore, South Korea, Japan and China. For a degree in Design and Fashion, it is better to consider Italy or France. If you are interested in ecology, environmental protection and human rights movement, choose the countries of Nordic region (Sweden, Finland, Norway) or Switzerland. TIP 2. You should choose the university of your choice. One of the most useful resource is the ranking of The Times Higher Education World University Rankings and QS rating. TIP 3. You should prepare all the relevant documents. I have listed some of the documents below: 1) An authorized translation of your previous or current degree and transcripts. 2) A Motivation letter/Essay/Personal Statement/Statement of Purpose. 70% of your ultimate success really depends on this paper! 3)Copies of your letters of reference. 4)Language certificates. For studying in English — IELTS Academic(6.5 and above) or TOEFL. 5)Additional exams. For example, GMAT/GRE for graduate school in business and finance or portfolio for designers and artists. TIP 4. You should select scholarship program: There is a limited number of information aggregators about scholarships and grants: Germany — DAAD; France — CampusFrance; China — CSC Scholarships StudyFree (https://international.studyfree.org/africa) — the platform accumulates scholarships from 34 countries TIP 5. DEADLINES!!! By the time you apply for a scholarship, you must have all the relevant documents ready. This means that you need to prepare at least a year before or even a year and a half. Entering a foreign university with full funding is real. I did it, so you CAN also do it!!! Feel free to ask me questions. |
Thank you!! I'll look through!! ![]() 1emmanuel1: |
