Come and join me sing Halleluyah!!!!

I have received my love letter. PPR received 12:41pm. April 26, 2022.

Portal - New Portal
Application Date - April 26, 2022
Biometrics - not needed since I had a visitor visa in 2016 and Biometrics is still valid
Upfront Medical - May 25, 2022
Upfront Medical Passed - June 23, 2022
PPR - August 02, 2022
Sponsor - self Sponsored
Age - 39
I used an agent who helped with admission and application

It has been God all the way.

I stumbled on this thread a month after submissions when there was no movement with my application. I did not submit the numerous documents seen on the thread and doubted my application will be approved at a point especially home ties.

I got frustrated when my medicals was not updated for at least one month. I sent various emails to Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Abuja and filled numerous forms. My faith was tested and still I believed that God who started this will perfect it.

Documents summited include
1. Bank Statement (Salary and Savings account)
2. Payslips
3. Letter of Explanation on sums paid
4. Offer Letter from Company
5. Acceptance Letter from School
6. School fees balance payment (Submitted through Webform)
7. International Medical Insurance Certificate
8. School Certificates
9 Professional Membership Certificate

I pray for all waiting that the God that did not fail me will show up for you too.

The wait is over

Good Afternoon,

Has anyone successfully done upkeep using the CBN Form A? What is the process required and what documents does one need to have? Any clarification will be greatly appreciated.

Your kind response on this will be well appreciated.

Thanks

I read this and made a silent prayer request. You are right, sometimes these things will actually test your faith. But God is too faithful to fail you and everyone who believes in Him. It will surely end well. You will look back and be grateful it did not work out at the time you wanted it cos you will be in a much better situation beyond your wildest imagination. You will testify because God never fails.
chuksinfotech:

You really don't seem to understand what @Hafeez6948 was saying. If you do, you won't make this statement.

Just brief about my story

I started my studies online in September 2020 due to Covid-19 and in the same month applied for my Study Permit. I was denied the permit due to insufficiency of funds, but due to resilience continued my studies till date.

After putting together some funds and getting funding opportunities, I reapplied for the study permit the second time on the 30th of October, 2021 and since then I have not received any official feedback.

It is more than 8 months now, I have written to IRCC several times and it has always been the generic mail response. Last month I applied for Global Case Management System (GCMS) Notes and it states, "Based on the LOA, funds, and documents provided, PA appears to be a BF student."

Which means I am a bonafide Student, but till now I have not gotten my approval.

I have been praying, fasting, joining NSPPD prayer sessions, and enlisted pastors and colleagues to pray along with me for funding and approval. I have doubted God, broken, depressed, and at a point beer no dey even high me because prayers wasn't calming my mind down.

Nothing on this earth made any sense any longer. I was fighting everyone at work above all can you fight God?

I have still gone back to him, I am now 28 days into my fast and Saturday it would be nine (9) months since I reapplied for my Study permit.

So if it is about your faith in God IRCC would shake it, and make you doubt God. @Hafeez6948 is simply stating bitter truth. I had the option of heading to US and Australia even for PhD and I refused and choose Canada. See am nah, I am now going back and seeking for same admissions I ignored for the almighty Canada.

Omo you no go understand the feeling, we are all in this journey differently. I don't want to start stating the personal details of what I have lost cos I fixated my mind on Canada

Cheers and lets encourage one another on this journey it is not easy. The rich ones are not on nairaland nah calls them dey put

If you don't have a valid Canadian or US visa, then you can apply for transit visa from France (seems the easiest for now). You can book an appointment here https://row4.vfsglobal.com/GAR1Ph1Appt/Account/RegisteredLogin?q=shSA0YnE4pLF9Xzwon/x/BGxVUxGuaZP3eMAtGHiEL3mNunIR1Jnd9UWqmazYQg80UuHC9rYgJsEM2ISWvbSaA==

Hi,

Inshort you wrote about my life in your narration below. I applied on April 26 and had to defer my admission in UK till next year when I wanted to faint from anxiety. I have made full payment of the tuition in Canada and did not want to pay in UK since my acceptance fee is non-refundable except a visa denial. I am even tired of sending webforms and emails because I receive same auto response and a few response saying it's in process and I should liaise with Nairobi Office further. I recently got a response from Nairobi office (see below). I pray God will grant us all our heart desires and bless us beyond our own imagination.

Solacul:
Good Day Nairalanders

I have been a silent reader all along, but it is time to cry out as my mind is failing.....

I would appreciate it if I could get advice on the challenges I have at hand.

I was offered admission at the Centennial College in Ontario for the Fall term of 2022. I have made part payment of my tuition as requested by the school.

I forwarded my study VISA application sometime in April and went for Biometrics on May 5 2022.

I did not submit an upfront medical.
POF submitted was 11.3m plus other required documents

This week will make my application precisely 12 weeks and Nothing has been heard.

I applied for another programme in the UK also for September 2022 also. My major aim is to leave Nigeria latest first week of September 2022.

I have been given admission in the UK at York St John University to be precise. I am yet to make a commitment about the tuition and yet to apply for VISA as I am a bit curious not to make a wrong decision.

I want Nairalanders to advise me if I should go ahead to make a commitment to York St John. The part payment for the tuition is about 5600pounds.

My Questions are
1. Is it advisable for me to pay for the tuition while I still await the response from the Canadian Embassy?
2. Will York St John refund me the tuition if eventually, I get a positive response from Canada?
3. If the Canadian embassy's response eventually comes in while I am already in the UK, can I still continue the application process in the UK to leave the UK for Canada?

I would appreciate elites on this forum to assist in giving advice as I am currently dying out of endless waiting.

Good evening guys.

My wife's PPR dropped today.

This is my first time of commenting on this thread, but I got all the guidelines I needed to package her application here.

I want to say a very big thank you to all the major contributors on this thread.
I say God bless you all, beyond your expectations.

For those still expectant, God will surely answer your prayers.

My wife submitted her application on April 11th. That was the only time they sent any notification to her, before the PPR message dropped today.

God is wonderful.

Is it possible to get a visa stamping in another country once you receive PPR. Lets assume the individual is on vacation in Paris, can s/he send his or her passport to the VFS office in that location for visa stamping or must the person come back to Nigeria to stamp the visa? Please assist to clarify

Yes, please send email and raise webforms that you are concerned your edibility review has not started despite your medical and biometrics updated since March. Though, its possible that it is been reviewed at the back end too and you will just get your PPR but you can't leave it to chance.
Fred98:
Good morning house, please I applied in march and there has been no update since biometric and medicals updated in march. Eligibility review has not started. Is there anything I can do ??
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Abi2022: 12:23pm On Jul 19, 2022
I suggest you scan all the admission letters in one file (both new and old) so that the officers reviewing can see both at the same time. As per the other question, I will leave to the Guru's to advice
FDTRips:
Good morning Gurus in the house,
Please I need clarification on an issue.
I got a request mail on my application from ircc, screenshot attached.
> CAQ: Certificat d’acceptation du Québec from the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion This must be received at this office by: 2022/08/18
> Late Letter of Acceptance: An original letter of late acceptance from the intended educational institution This must be received at this office by: 2022/08/18

The
clarifications I need
1) I have only the CAQ confirmation email which states that I can process my study permit without needing the original, I have called Ministère de l'Immigration in Quebec and was told the original can only be sent by post and would take about 4weeks to get to Nigeria. I was reassured again that the confirmation sent via email will suffice for my application. Please can I resend the CAQ confirmation sent via email back to IRCC with this explanation.
2) My school sent my admission letter for jan22 resumption on the 30th nov21, I deferred the admission to sep22 and was issued a new admission letter which was used in applying. Can someone please clarify the meaning of “original letter of late acceptance” ircc is requesting for. I plan sending the old and new admission letters but need the gurus in the house to please advise me accordingly.

When I applied for my study permit I included the caq certificate I received via mail and the new admission letter for sep22.

Please advise.

Did you attach the e-medical form to your emails? If yes, you can send reminders every other day till its updated. However, all may be updated same day including PPR oo..
Blakmandk:
We submitted on the same date. My upfront Medicals was on June 28th but it’s still yet to be updated to pass. And my eligibility review has started. Though I sent series of mails for the past 2weeks which I think is the catalyst to my eligibility review. Do you think I should send another mail so my Medicals can be updated or do I just wait for IRCC to update it since eligibility has commenced?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Abi2022: 11:59am On Jul 19, 2022
You profile will be updated and you can view once you log in, it will state that your eligibility has started. I have being mailing Nairobi, Accra, Lagos & abuja, The thread has posts of other options too

Good Morning,

An upfront medical is same as the regular medical the only difference is that you are doing it before been asked to do so by IRCC. This is important because the available dates can be far away so you beat time. Depending on your location, you can apply online, send an email to book or visit the facility to book.

IOM (Lagos & Abuja) - https://mymedical.iom.int/apps/omas/ email is iomabujamedicalbooking@iom.int or iomlagosmedicalbooking@iom.int
Qlife (Lagos) - https://www.qlifefamilyclinic.com/cim-terms-and-conditions I don't have their email

Ladielarrie1:
Please how can register for upfront medical.

Well said. I also stumbled on this thread after submission in March. Did my upfront medicals last month. Trusting for a pass and ppr request soon in JESUS name. Amen

Congratulations to all who have gotten PPR so far and Congratulations to us who will be getting soon. I stumbled on this thread about a month after my submission. I wish I did earlier though because of the amount of information available on the thread! Thanks to all who daily encourage others and those that remember to come back to share their timelines, documents submitted and tips & tricks.

If you are new and just applying or have applied and waiting, I suggest you do an Upfront medical, this MAY help save time and kickstart the process.

I applied April 26, 2022 and did an upfront medical on May 25, though I not get a medical request I started sending emails 3rd week in June and my medical was updated June 23 (I should have sent emails and webform by end of week one). Another set of emails sent initiated my "eligibility review" on July 05. Now I am waiting for PPR and have sent another set of emails....and I believe it will end in praise . Everyone will glorify God with me.

It's tiring and can be mentally exhausting, I pray God gives those of us in His waiting room patience to stand the season and show His Mercy and Favour as regards our application.

We will share our testimony sooner than we think in Jesus Name.

@oyalfares...Thank you. I will explore this route

Oyalfares:
You can pay accommodation with Form A if it is the school's account. For my daughter, I added everything together, i.e school fees, student union, insurance and accommodation, feeding etc and paid the lump sum via Form A. Then chose education. Generated invoice from the school's website.

Can one use Form A to pay for accommodation on Campus in School? Apart from school fees what other payment can one use Form A for so as to maximize cost because this relocation expense is not easy.

I got mine about a week ago from Keystone bank. I used to work there and it still took over two weeks. This forex allocation is real

Misstolaly:
Good afternoon House,

Please, who recently got their Form A transaction approved and tuition paid? Which Bank did you use, please? Globus just rejected my transaction at the supervisor stage because of no FX allocation.

I want to try Stanbic since UBA and Globus have not come through, being trying to open a Providus bank account for more than a week but have not received OTP via SMS and email, and their customer service cannot help too. I'm open to trying another bank too once I know they might deliver.

The black market rate is a no-go area for me.
