But all I can see here is the marginalisation of the southwest! No Yoruba DIG only one AIG from south west yet no one is raising any issue from the southwest. The first ten positions in Nigeria has no Yoruba man yet no one is shouting marginalisation. I think igbos should try and learn one or two things from Yorubas. Rather than make noise Yorubas ve decided to go to the drawing board and re strategise on the way forward for 2015.

Ribadu got most of the funds used during his tenure as efcc chairman from foreign donors who were impressed with his good works especially the EU and the UK, obj barely allocated money to efcc but they were well funded by several organisations, but of course they cant be hoodwinked they know both Gej and Lamorde
Are not iinterested in fighting any corruption so they wont waste their money, when Nigerians are ready they will elect for themselves a leader that will be serious with yhe fight against corruption and send Gej back to Otuoke to continue fishing and make good use of his "PHd" in zoology.

NOI is no change agent! She is just like every other politician in Gej's cabinet. A woman that adviced Nigeria to pay off all her debt under obj, presided over the saving of over 64b usd in foreign reserve , over 22b usd in excess crude accout, same woman is presiding over the aggressive accumulation of debt, violent depletion of both excess crude and foreign reserve and giving out scandalous import waivers that she dared not touch with a long pole under obj! So much for world bank vp! Back in new york I can bet her office is not as nice as her secretary's office in abuja. Fg spent 1.2b naira on her maitama residence, plus she will not get upto a tenth of the aides hanging around her in Naija in new york. So pls she is doing no body no favour.

Politics / Re: Supreme-Court Quashes Corruption Conviction Of Bode George by abokinside: 4:36pm On Dec 13, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Those were some of the cases that were taken to court in the midst of the MEDIA DRAMA and PLAYING TO THE GALLERY that went into the 'war' against corruption during OBJ and Yar Adua era. As expected, Nigerians, being DRAMA loving people, cheered on while the DRAMA lasted. However, after the DRAMA and PLAYING TO THE GALLERY, many of those cases could not stand judicial scrutiny.

As for the case of Bode George, the Nigerian people have LOST again. The time, energy and resources that went into prosecuting him are all LOST. He may even sue the state for damages and may end up with billions or millions awarded to him in compensation. And all those shenanigans happened in the name of 'fighting' corruption?

Likewise, in the midst of DRAMA and media fanfare, the OBJ govt slammed charges of corruption against former senate president, Adolphus Wabara; former education minister, Prof. Fabian Osuji and former health minister, Nike Grange.

However, after much DRAMA and dancing in the media the Appeal Court made the following statements while freeing the duo of Adolphus Wabara and Prof. Fabian Osuji of allegations of corruption:

"the charge was BOGUS and failed to establish a prima facie case against the accused persons.... the prosecution failed to attach the list of witnesses and other relevant documents to the charge as required by law....the criminal charge was FRIVOLUS, BASELESS and had no merit and as such could not be sustained"
http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2010/06/02/n50-million-scam-court-frees-wabara-osuji-abdulazeez/

Meanwhile, the Growth Enhancement Scheme (GES) in the fertilizer distribution system instituted by the current govt saved the nation about N25 billion in 2012. The N25 billion would have been lost to corruption if we had continued with the old system of distributing fertilizer. The Integrated Payroll Systeme has also saved the country over N120 billion per annum thru eradication of ghost workers.

Some Boko Haram and pension thieves suspects have been prosecuted and convicted SUCCESSFULLY. Many others, including fuel subsidy thieves are still in court.

It must be noted that many of the cases of corruption that are being prosecuted under this dispensation are the outcome of SILENT double layer investigation. The fuel subsidy thieves for instance were first investigated by a presidential committee on fuel subsidy (which consisted of experts in that field) and later by the EFCC before proceeding to court. This increases the chances of securing conviction in court.

Nigerians would have to choose between DRAMA/PLAYING TO THE GALLERY and real fight against corrupt that yields TANGIBLE BENEFITS.
sir, so what you are saying in essence is that we should not bother arresting and prosecuting theives since the Nigerian courts will set them free anyway, It sound very unwise, fake statistics of 25b being saved is a drop in the ocean compared to what is being stolen in other departments and agencies of govt. The fact that a whole president of d federal republic pardoned a convicted thieve doesn't change the fact that he is a thieve common criminal. A time will come that all this thieves including Gej will be brought to book.! Its us against the corrupt president Gej.

Obj is detribalised because he has been well exposed to different tribes and race at a very early stage of his life, mainly because of his career in the army and international engagements after he left being head of state in 1979, Obj is intelligent, very condident and NEVER fidgety! He was handed a ruined country by Sani Abacha, external debt, of 37b usd, total collapsed economy, civil servants poorly paid yet when he was leaving in 2007, he had paid up all Nigeria's debt, did not borrow a dime rather left an external reserve of over $60b usd, and excess crude account of $22b usd, with an economy that was far better than he met.
But what do we have in Gej all he met he destroyed, external reserve less than 35b usd, excess crude less than 5b usd, external debt has risen above 35b usd, ordinarily every govt coming in should be an improvement on the past, can Gej expain what happen to all the money that has been earn under his watch? What on earth could ve made him deplete all accounts he met so badly ? Is it that he has not eatned a dime since coming to office or what has happened cos there's no infrastructure on ground to show for the totall rape of the nation's resources.
Pls I rest my case, thus is not about trive or clan, Obj is light years ahead of Gej period! Obj is a Nigerian, Gej is an Ijaw man! The ywoare ddifferent

I live in the fct, el rufai's 4 yrs as fct minister was the best ever for Abuja, years after him his legacies abound every where you turn, though subsequent mediocre govts ve attempted to ruin these things yet they are still visible, that is why I am shocked to the marrow when I hear people call el rufai all sort of names yet this people are very ok with alhaji Bunu1999-2003, Moddibo 2007-08, Adamu Aleiro2008-10, Bala Mohammed 2010 till date. All of these
Guys tenure put together has not achieved half of what elrufai achieved in Abuja, no matter what you call elrufai today there is no doubt that he is an excellent public servant!!! With a very sound mind and a very courageous heart.

Absolute nonsense, half truths, full lies and raw falsehood. How come other oil producing countries are able to curb oil theft? How come oil theft suddenly increased to astronomical heights under Gej a son of the soil? Never m8nd when your man is voted out in 2015, you ll be alove to witness the end to all criminality in the name of a struggle for the people yet only the elite of the Niger delta are getting stupendously rich at the expense of their people, the region though marginalised in the past but has received unprecedented revenues since 1999 yet no visible change except in the prodigality of their ruling elite, succour will soon come the way of the common man of the Niger delta qho has been abandoned by all. Oil theft can be stopped and will be stopped by all means in anycase when this elite make this money they never invest in the niger delta, they take the money to benin republic, south Africa and cayman island no wonder atiku abubakar and dangote are the highest employers of labour from individual effort apart from govt in the Niger delta. @ op thanks for your fiction though.

In politics a thousand friends is too little and one enemy is too much. Wake up guys APC is doing very well and its on course to take over in 2015. Without spending a dime campaigning you wake up one morning and you get five states added to your fold for free with with potential 10m voters. Its like sending ur wife packing and she finds another man and you are now crying for the new husband that he has just married a bad woman, why cry more than the bereaved. Stella is a fraud and a thief, trying to whip up Igbo sentiment wont save her battered image, but I blame the president that is leading the gang rape of the nation.
