PoliticsRe: Amaechi Is Already With APC - Rivers PDP by abokinside: 10:48pm On Jul 04, 2013
Really! So These guys came all the way from Porthacourt to apologise on Ameachi's behalf. I thought if someone or a group of persons are coming to see the president that the agenda for the meeting will be stated, so actually on the agenda its stated "Rivers PDP on apology visit" or what? Pls help me somebody cos I dont get it. Is the president actually busy with any seruous work? To have time for such frivolities? What in the world have we done to deserve such inept, clueless and lazy cleptomanic leader.

otokx: We have got our values upside down hence after politicians steal recklessly they retire to become "pastors" and the victims still troop in to clap hands and donate more money.
we are easy rides in Nigeria because the average Nigerian has sold his sould to the devil and mortgaged his brain to the pastor. That's why their elected public masters take them for hranyed.

I remember when Ribadu was been hounded by Andoaka the rogue attorney general installed by Ibori to do his dirty job. I remember some misguided Nigerians laughing at Ribadu singing all sort of songs "dat serves him right " " he is rude how can he arrest and jail his boss" blah blah blah. Today same Ribadu is back from exil has even contested for president, chaired important committes and enjoying his life but Andoaka has been derobed meaning he can no longer practice law, he is living the rest of his miserable life in his gboko village. Lesson to learn here is the fact that the tide will always turn pls learn to stand andd be counted on the side of truth. I dont fancy ameachi but I love democracy more than Gej's re election 19 and 16 are very distint numbers Ameachi is the chairman of Ngf Gej should accept that and move on, perhaps he should come up with another strategy of controlling the govs but not by desecrating democracy. Times come and go, pls pipu lets learn to speak and stand by the truth atall times. All those attacking amaechi now but what if the tide turns. Ameachi has no fault in this case , just imagine NNortherners attacking gov yuguda and shema fir supporting gej and calling them traitors. Pls Gej cannot become prwsident without the support of the north and south west, Gej apilogist stop acting like kids abusing everybody that is not Ijaw it might be counter productive. Pls be guided wisely.

vanunu: Nigerians are not big fools, Fashola made his biggest political blunder when he decided to deport fellow Nigerians. He will never be a Nigerian president.
sorry I thought it was gov Theodore Orji that sack and deported his fellow igbo kinsmen. In ancase my question still remains, IF NOT FASHOLA PLEASE IN GOD'S NAME PLEASE MENTION WHO? U guys have mentioned Akpabio but it has become completely clear that Fashola is light years ahead. Its like someone telling me Alao Akala is better than Donald duke, why will I agree to that just because I am yoruba, only a bigoted mind will see the obvious truth but for tribal allegiance continue to argue. I am not a tribalist but I desperately wish for a leader with a sound mind in the likes of Fashola, Donald Duke, Pat utomi etc.
PoliticsRe: APC Picks National Officers by abokinside: 10:45am On Jun 26, 2013
Jittery pdp apologist rushing to comment doom. This is what our democracy has been denied since 1999, a properly organised political party that is not limited to a particular region. No wonder Gej people will not let us rest with all sort of scare mongering tactics like Alhaji's people's party etc. What we need desperately is an alternative to pdp. When pdp loses an election perhaps whwn next they return to Aso rock they wont take Nigerians for granted this much. Even if APC picks Buhari ,a man that could not islamise Nigeria under military rule, its now that we have a constitutional democracy that he will now islamise the country.
PoliticsRe: Why Fashola Is The Best Option For Nigeria Come 2015. by abokinside(op): 12:56pm On Jun 25, 2013
Does Fashola have a private jet? No! Does Akpabio have a private jet ? Yes, and it cost the good people of akwa ibom 45m us dollars. Can Fashola's Lagos state afford one? Yes, but Fashola wont buy one cos no resource is infinite, he needs more money to put into education, healthcare, more roads etc. Akpabio on the other hand builds a few fly overs and buys a private jet, doles out the state's cash like no man's business to couples that are already rich and famous. Fashola on the other hand donates to help people who are sick like Ngozi. Why compare sleep with death. Akpabio spends money from the federation account, any person can appropriate funds but Fashola's Lagos makes its own money from tax .Without disrespecting Akpabio sorry to say I dont think he can make Fashola's cabinet if he wad from Lagos state. Are we not talking about a man who was boasting on national tv about rigging an election, is it not the same man leading a group of renegade losers who wont accept the result of an election of just 35 persons. Lagos has 227 health centres from primary to secondary and tertiary health institutions taking care of several indigenes of Akwa ibom state. How many health institutions doesAkwa ibom have? please I plead with you sleep and death are light years apart so is Fashola and Akpabio. Fashola has tackled Tinubu to an extent dor those who are familiar with Lagos politics, they know that Tinubu and Fashola were at logger heads for last 2 yrs of fFashola's first term. If Fashola was commander in chief I can bet he will do more, but in the mean time Gej can help by jailing Tinubu.

But Shema and Yuguda are northerners, and they are openly supporting the president yet their people are not calling them names like traitor, sellout etc. Is it okay for northerners to support a south south person bit becomes a taboo when a south southerner supports a northerner. When will you guys grow up?

duality: Look man,I don't know fashola. Note that you won't get any honest answer to that question because people see performance from various perspective; unless you want political answers.

If I am the minister of information, I'll tell you that the president is performing better than fashola relative to the time they have spent administering their present offices. I know you won't agree with that. So, for people like me who are neutral and not emotionally attached to any candidate, I don't ask your kind of questions. I ask the type I asked you earlier.

okey let me illustrate.

Mr A says Akpabio,

Mr B says Rotimi

Mr C says Fashola

Mr D says Uduagan

Mr E says Lamido

If they all give you their reasons, and evidences to back their claims you will not be able to fault any of them looking at it from their individual perspectives; Unless you have a sentimental attachment to any of the names stated above.

Your question is too weak for the level of politics you want us to play

This is my honest take on your thread. No offence.

Gracias.
Perfect is the enemy of good. What I am simply advocating for is the best man emerging as president and not those who ride solely on the basis of ethnic and religious sentiments to attain or hold on to power. Which you will agree with me that both Gej and Buhari represent. Left to me if Prof Pat Utomi had the political clouth he would ve been my preferred candidate.

duality: @ op please tell me what fashola has done to eradicate poverty in Lagos. Start the campaign from this point. If I'm not convinced with your answer, I will not vote for fashola if he runs for presidency.
I asked a question in the write up which I want you to respond to. Pls tell me one public officer that you know presently serving that has performed better than Fashola, with facts please? You know anybody can accuse anybody but when you ask for facts it becomes a problem. .

Thats exactly what I want us to address here there is nothing like "SLOT" if the best candidate after jonathan is from the Bayelsa state then why not him? Why have a second best? When are be going to see government purely from the service point?
PoliticsWhy Fashola Is The Best Option For Nigeria Come 2015. by abokinside(op): 6:14pm On Jun 24, 2013
Nigeria at the moment is heavily polarised along ethnic / religious divides. Gen Buhari is not acceptable to many southerners, President Jonathan is not liked by many northerners aswell. If either of these two candidates emerge as president in 2015, the nation will be further polarised and might perhaps plunge into deeper crisis. Since the religious/ethnic tension in the land now is majorly between northerners and south easterners / south southerners, I suggest that to douse the tension created by religion and ethnicity we should look away from champions of the two primordial sentiments of ethnicity and religion that has held us down as a nation for several years.
Fashola is a moderate, religion wise, he is so liberal that he married his wife as a Christian though he is a muslim and she remains a christian till date. If Fashola becomes President a lot of the tension in the country majorly caused by ethnic and religious sentiments will give way because Fashola will not patronise such sentiments.
Secondly I think the time has come when the president of Nigeria should be shosen purely based on merit, only then can we expect development. Fashola is a performer even his enemies admit this fact. I believe Fashola is the best performing public officer in Nigeria at the moment (Pls if you know any better pls state with facts ). We have been plaqued with too many mediocre leaders, this has been the bane of our under development. Fashola, Buhari and Jonathan of the trio, I strongly believe Fashola is best suitable and most competent.
Another critical asoect we have missed out lately is charisma. Nigeria needs a very charismatic leader, we have missed out on this for a while now and its affecting us negatively at the world stage. Fashola is a very charismatic leader, just imagine him addressing the UN general assembly or his first visit to the white house side by side president Obama.
Can go on and on but I am sure most people dont like to read long articles.
Lastly why I think Fashola should be the next president, because he is a man United fan.lol
But really I think its time we do away with sentiment s and vote for a competent, charismatic and courageous leaders with great vision that can change the lot of the whole country. It was not easy for the Americans to vote in a black man as preident but the did they abondoned setiments that had ruled for centuries. In closing Senegal is predominantly muslim about 80% muslim yet they voted for a christian President Macky sall. We can also break this barriers once and for all in Nigeria. If you believe in this noble dream pls click like. I have never made front page but I hope this does.
PoliticsRe: Fati Abubakar, Nigeria’s Most Unique First Lady by abokinside: 10:42pm On Jun 22, 2013
Thanks for focusing on Fati Abubakar, I will like to focus on Patience Jonathan though. The difference between this two people is not their level of education but the the mould of their character. Whereas one is content with her profession in the judiciary, the other will not face her job as a permanent secetary in Bayelsa state but rather prefer to contend with an elected governor on the crude politics of the state. I wish madame Jonathan was from my state may be I would ve been able to say my mind without being attacked by those who have sold their mind to the devil. Truth is Mrs Jonathan cannot be a role model to the younger ones, she is just too classless. For those who may want o accuse me of ethnic or religious bigotry. I love Donald & Onari Duke and pls I am a christian, just that I think with my God given brain thats why I know that the future of my kids is more important than supporting some incompetent clueless couple as our leader just because we are from the same region.
PoliticsRe: Patience - Port-Harcourt Lost Its Attraction In Amaechi's Reign by abokinside: 2:04pm On Jun 16, 2013
Thought she is supposed to be working in Bayelsa state as a permanent secretary. There is a very thin line between Getting paid for doing nothing and stealing from the govt. In saner climes first ladies are busy tackling child maternal mortality, obesity, human trafficking etc, here the Dame is busy helping her non performing husband in is crude politics. Pls madame allow the elected gov do the job he was elected for while you the un elected first lady can face your own "work" both at Yenogoa and Aso rock kitchen.
PoliticsRe: Patience Jonathan Blasts Amaechi;says Portharcourt No Longer Attractive. by abokinside: 9:56am On Jun 16, 2013
In saner climes, first ladies do better things with their time than joining their non performing husbands in playing crude politics. Even Odili knows that his 8 yrs in charge of Rivers was a disaster. I thought mmaking dame Patience a perm sec in the civil service of Bayelsa state was to keep her busy and save the Nation more embarrassment, apparently that strategy doesn't seem to be working. Get a life Dame P. Allow the elected Gov do his job while you the un elected first lady take care of your husband's kitchen.

Nice speech, I continue to meet lots of young but shallow Nigerians everyday. Heavily blinded by ethnicity and religion . Cant reason beyond these two primordial sentiments. But the reason is not far fetched toooooooooooo lazy to seek knowledge. Always watching africa magic and channel O, plus supersports. Never bothering to know for a second whats happening in other parts of the world. Arguing Football as if their lives depended on it. No wonder Your politicians take you for granted. Wake up guys! Some one makes this much sense and all many can make out of this is " born to rule", how did obasanjo's govt help d yoruba man?How did yar aadua's govt turn Katsina into paradise, How has Gej's presidency provided housing for all bayelsans or provided the best maternity hospital in Yenogoa? Or finally how has ebele azikiwe's govt tranform the lives of his good people of south eastern Nigeria or sorry " Biafra". Wake up guys the ruling elite class dont send you, Its u guys that want to die for them for nothing they dont give a hoot! About u guys. They only care and take care of their friends, and this friends come from across the country. Ònly one thing binds them together looting the people's commonwealth and converting to the use of themselves, their imidiate family and their cronies. If you fall into any of those threeccategories then its ok to fight for your ethnic champions. Lets support those that can really birth change stop rubbishing Ribadu if what you have to offer is Gej. As for me and my household we shall always support the most competent candidates.

Symphony007: Nigeria can never be united! The tribalism in this country runs too deep! It's just madness!!on a trip I met a company driver in port harcourt and asked him his view on this ameachi-jonathan fued. And he said ameachi is a traitor to his region and that he should go. I then asked him. Which school his kids attend. He said it's the ameachi government schools and that he does'nt pay fees or buy books, uniform, sandals, lunch, all is provided by the state. One of his children was also born in one of the new ameachi free healthcare centers. He is starting a buisness soon with loan gotten from the RSSDA established by ameachi. He said all these and then i asked him what jonathan has done for him as a person or the niger delta as a whole, and he was speechless. Tribalism and utter stupidity!!! This country is and will never be united.
spot on!!! Pls sincerely and I mean what has President Jonathan done for Bayelsa state, apart from giving them Dickson as gov?
PoliticsRe: Fashola Sues Jang Faction Of NGF by abokinside: 12:24pm On Jun 02, 2013
If Jang had won the elections by 19 votes against Ameachi's 16 and then Ameachi and co begin to throw tantrums like this what will you guys supporting Jang and Jona be saying now?
Truth is I ve never seen a president as lawless as Gej(except Obj).
He successfully manipulated the pdp convection to produce bamanga tukur even though the party had agreed earlier, that all positions were goin to be chosen by the the zones which the north east produced Babayo but because Gej wanted bamanga at all cost, that election was cancelled and they had to hold d abuja drama just to elect bamanga. He now controls the party, same with bot of the pdp, he got anenih in. Now the final lap to secure 2015 ticket NGF. Unfortunately he meets his waterloo there, then now decides to show his true colour, a clueless, classless dictator. Why go into an election when u know wont accept the result if it doesn't go ur way. All those supporting Jang just because he seems to be on Gej's side are blinded by ethnic loyalty. Truth isJang and Jona lost, let them stop acting llike babies. You dont win all battles. Stop asking stupod questions like "what is the importance of NGF" the importance is the reason why 16 govs and a president want to controll it by all means. To those cursing Ameachi for aligning with northerners. Why are northerners not cursing gov Shema and gov Yuguda for aligning with Gej? Kudos to gov Fashola he has done the right thing, Presidents in saner climes distance themselves from brigandry but here the president leads it

You are a fool.Instead of you asking for the head of the Judge(who might even be your brother)who gave the Judgement, you are here calling names.
My brother I am not a fool and the judge is not from my state as umay think his name is justice Okeke, guess that ssounds familiar. Anyway why I blame the president is because hos is the one we elected to take care of corrupt judges not me, not you, not Tinubu, so let hom just do the job his been elected to do in other saner climes the president would be at the forefront of the fight against all forms of graft but in our case he seems to be leading the onslaught. PoliticsRe: Iranian Accused Of Importing Arms To Nigeria Sentenced by abokinside: 9:07pm On May 13, 2013
Only in Nigeria #landofwonders. A man attempts to import cocaine into iran he gets a death sentence, now think of what the repercussion would be if a Nigerian attempted to import 13 containers filled with arms and ammunition into Iran! But in Nigeria the court system is a circus full of clowns. Why are the real owners of the consignment not in jail? because they are big men right! What happen to the man elected to uphold the constitution of Nigeria, is he sleeping? Why are there no serious consequences for crime in Nigeria? Is it not obvious by now that crime and in fact hard crime pays in Nigeria. When are we goin to have men like Pat utomi, Femi Falana, Odien ajumogobia, Oby ezekwisili, umar dangiwa, Roger makanjuola as political leaders ie as president/v presidents. Why are we burdened with people like Good/badluck ebele Jonathan, Dimeji bankole,Babangida(both Aliyu and ibrahum), obj, ibori, orji (kalu and theodore) Facrook lawan, ------ list is endless. My take a people bigoted by religion and ethnicity can never elect competent leaders, they will always pan towards the sentiments they hold much more dearly than their wellbeing or development. Wake up people and support the best candidates, bigotry will lead us all to total destruction. I am Yoruba but I dont like Gej just like I didnt like Obj, but I love Pat utomi and I like Donald duke plus I like Nuhu Ribadu and love Madam oby ezekwisili. Pls stop accusing me of bias cos I dont like Gej, and I cant like him till he begins to do want competent and honest leaders do declare his asset, prosecute those stealing our commonwealth and appoint competent ministers to man key ministries like education, health, works and power, as soon as he does this four things I ll be his campaign manager in my state for free. If 67% of Nigerians were like me , our country will be 1000000 times better than it is now quit bigotry and support the better candidates even if we dont ve the best yet!! Epistle according to saint abokinside!
PoliticsRe: 2015: Merger Parties Pick Buhari by abokinside: 2:46pm On May 05, 2013
djon78: the main issue is that APC is a marriage of strange bedellows, infact there are many battles that will be fought, especially about who controls the party btw Asiwaju and the Northern wing represented by Buhari, infact this will be the main battle and my instinct tells me Asiwaju being a very smart politician will win the battle and maybe someone like fashola or oshiomole will emerge as presiden. With this scenario APC can win the presidency but if they put any aboki as flagbearer, they will not win because of what their bokoharam has done to this country.
I thought politics is a game of numbers, same buhari got 12m real votes in the last elections without the effort of any political party. Then I think you may be underestimating buhari's popularity and the chances of the APC sacking the inept PDP. Buhari+APC= 20m sure votes=Aso rock 2015.

I sincerely sympathise with those who lost loved ones on Kano and baga but I must say dat @op ur story is heavuly exaggerated. The gov didn't donate 100m it was 20m and u said he didn't visit the site of the Kano blast but I watched his visit on tv. Obviously this is a malicious story. However that doesn't take away the fact that the gov might have displayed some level of bias by donating money to baga victims who are obviously mainly Muslims if not all Muslims whereas he did not donate a dime to Kano bus park victims who are majority igbos. We obviously need a leader that can rise above ethnic and religious affiliations to unite the country. The cost of breaking Nigeria is higher than the cost of keeping it together ponder on this words. Thanks.

I know bayelsa state has a lot of competent and honorable leaders but unfortunately some way somehow since 1999 when alameisigha became thier gov and Jonathan his deputy the state has been thrown to the dogs. What u get from bayelsa now are the likes of ãsari dokubo, alams, timipre slyva, GEJ etc no wonder 6 years after their "son" became vp, later acting president and now President, Yenogoa still remains the worst state capital in Nigeria. 13 years of unprecedented fg allocation yet no quality hospitals, poor educational facilities, extremely poor infrastructure across the state. Wake up people and stop supporting low life criminals that wont change ur lot. Can you imagine a gov setting up committee for rumour mongering! Haba out of all the problems facing Bayelsa people. Ieaders completely bereft of ideas, I guess prof Itse Sagay is from that state u guys can do better now! Why not show loyalty to people like him and make them leaders of Ijaw people rathe than thieves like Alams and GEJ.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Commissions Emeka Anyaoku Housing Estate At Ikeja . Pics.. by abokinside: 10:30am On Apr 10, 2013
Well done gov Fashola. Atleast he is doing something to tackle the housing problem in lagos. How do we explain that of the federal government that controls 57% of all the nations resources, it has the ministry of housing, federal housing authority, federal mortgage bank yet they are not building nothing. Because the chunk of the nations resources is domiciled with the fg, no matter how well some states try, a crook and indolent FG will always continue to draw us back. The ACN as part of its manifesto during the 2011 elections promised to build 1million housing unit in their first four years, but alas people could not be bothered, all they want was fresh air, not even promise of housing for all will deter them from " the fresh air" . Most nigerians spend the most part of their income on housing, atleast those of us that live in abuja, I will vote for any party that will guarantee good mortgage facility for decent houses at a very affordable subsidised price. Build world class hospitals and provide quality education for my children even if the president is from pluto.
