Education / Re: The Illegality Of Covenant University Students’ Suspension By School Management by abouqi(f): 11:04pm On May 03, 2017
Imstrong:
cu is the educational arm of the ministry indirectly an extension of the ministry, the same law applies, they set their rules as they deemed fit in line with their vision how can you subject a private institution to public laws? Have you gone through their rules and regulations and their core values? These are the requirements the students are all aware of and penalties applicable upon violation, do you know cu rank above most federal universities? What's the difference.. Standard, they can't compromise on it. The rules governing private institutions are a bit extreme compared to public institutions that's why it's private and faith based at that

Please tell them!
Don't be surprised that some of the 200 students are on this platform indirectly soliciting for support.
Well, it won't work!
Standard!
Thanks for your thought

Haba! I can't believe you're the one saying this. Maybe you should read Section 1 of the Nigerian Constitution very well to understand the illegality of the school regulation.

Illegality
A university that has been in existence for how many years?
Nigerian constitution to a school's rules n regulations that were used to set it up?
These boys are everywhere God!

it's not about being lenient. They are wrong simple, they have no right to do what they did. The students should sue and they will win. I have a lawyer friend that is willing to take the case pro-bono cos it's a very straight forward case, the school violated their constitutional right. We should not allow lawlessness like this slide.

They have the right bro!
Ask them to check students' handbook, ask if they closed their eyes while signing at their resumption in CU?
Straight forward case? Barrister, don't waste your time n energy on a useless case

Your own reasoning showed you are less educated bro!
Were they forced to go to CU?
Are there no universities they can attend apart from CU?
There are other alternative universities that they could have gone to that won't even bother whether they attend church services or not now, abeg!
Pls think well!!!

Wisdom is very important here Mr. So you aren't always around and whenever you are, you give your daughter more of the few time you have to spend than your wife. Remember, ' That girl will get married one day; she becomes another man's darling/love,.......it shall remain you & your wife! As you lay your bed,.....lay a good bed now that there is time to do so.

Generally, it's common with the first child of the family, but be careful!

12 Encouraging Bible verses on forgiveness.

http://ipost.christianpost.com/news/12-encouraging-bible-verses-on-forgiving-others-10770/

It seems most Nigerians have forgotten to forgive.

I leave you with the story of Elisabeth Elliot. Her husband Jim Elliot was killed by some Central American tribesmen in the 1950's.

A few years later...she went back and became a missionary to those same people.

All of her husband's killers were converted to Christ by her ministry.

No cursing involved.

God bless.

1 Corinthians 13 (The Message version)

13 If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.

2 If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.

3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

8-10 Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled.

11 When I was an infant at my mother’s breast, I gurgled and cooed like any infant. When I grew up, I left those infant ways for good.

12 We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!

13 But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.
