shosky1794: Sorry that this is coming late. Battery (5,000mAh): It last a day on average. I'm a heavy battery consumer because my internet connection is always on, so I know what I'm saying. Internet (4G): Trust me, bro, I now download 500Mb files in less than 30 minutes. I never knew my Infinix Smart 5 was real suffering because even 200Mb took hours to download. Camera: The back camera is good. Although I'm not a camera person, I've used it to take pictures of A4-size papers with printed words and I know that it's clear. The selfie camera may leave some things to be desired, though. And yes, no front flashlight, but who uses it, anyway? Storage (64GB): The storage swallowed all my files on my former phone conveniently, so I'm good. I've not even used up to 40GB, but my app list be like Bet9ja slip. RAM (4GB): The phone allows to use additional 1GB processor power from your storage, so that's a total of 5GB. (Computers also do this, so it's not new.) The phone doesn't hang. Trust me, I open multiple tabs (at least four) when I'm operating this phone. Right now, I'm playing music on Spotify, using Chrome, Facebook and Twitter minimized, and of course WhatsApp. It switches tab seamlessly. Also, to test the efficacy of the processor, I played PubG while playing music and after having opened multiple tabs. Still didn't hang. So, I'm good. If the phone is within your budget, you won't regret it. |

Programming / Re: Help! I Need Guidance On This Problem In Python by Abra4real(m): 7:30pm On Apr 01, 2022 |
Enny007: Okay, I have checked your lines of code. Here is where the problem is: you do not understand what "while statements" are used for. While statements are used to execute a line o more o code if a condition is met. In your code, you used "while True" which means that the condition will always equal True and the code will keep executing in an endless loop. I could write you lines of code to help you do what you want to do, but that will not help you. Go and learn this thing from a proper place, bro. I recommend w3schools.com I am living testimony that the simplistic method of W3Schools actually grounds you. 2 Likes |

Enny007: I'll be painfully honest with you: your code has a lot of bugs. The first one I see is your creating a global variable "User_input" and then, recreating it in the while statement. Totally unnecessary. Let me check your code again and suggest ways you can do this. |

Phones / Which Phone Should I Buy? by Abra4real(m): 5:22pm On Apr 01, 2022 |
Dear Nairalanders, I need suggestions on the phone I can buy. My budget is between 65k and 70k. My current Infinix S5 (2GB/32GB) takes me through Hell every day: well, it hangs almost every time. I noticed that I can't even multitask on it. For instance, I can't use an app such as Clubhouse and WhatsApp at the same time; play music and use Chrome at the same time without interruptions. In fact, videos don't play well on it again. Here are what I have in mind: - The phone must be at least 5000mAh. - The phone must be at least 4GB RAM. - The phone must be at least 64GB. I had two options: buy a used iPhone or buy a good Android phone. If I buy an iPhone, I'll lose the freedom I have with Android: there are some apps I use that are available for only android devices. Also, I don't want to buy an Android phone that will hang like this nonsense I'm using. I'll appreciate your input. 2 Likes |

suregalluv: Believe me, everything you do isn't your fault. I've discovered that introverts can only try to do little. So, if playing games is what works for you, do play it. It's not weird. For me, I have monotonously mastered the art of keeping myself company in just three ways: 1. I watch military movies. Hollywood. Sometimes, Bollywood. Anything other than that, I'm not interested. 2. Browsing the internet. Including WhatsApp and Facebook. 3. I take a walk around quiet places. Unilag's Lagoon Front is one of them. If I'm not in school, I do the same at home. So, most times, I'm indoors. You'll discover that there's not enough time to do all that even, much less doing unnecessary socialisation. Be you. Do you. You're awesome. 4 Likes |

Hi. My name is Abraham. I'm currently a student of English at the University of Lagos. I'm an introvert. Ever since I discovered that I couldn't change myself, I've really been at peace with myself and I'm doing well academically. In fact, female coursemates who move close to me acknowledge that I'm very funny. Later, I'll share my experiences and how I'm coping now. Well, you can't please anybody. Just today, someone still accused me of knowing how to do nothing but read. Be you. Cheers! 11 Likes |

Jas:2:1: My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. Jas:2:2: For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; Jas:2:3: And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Jas:2:4: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? Jas:2:5: Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? Jas:2:6: But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? Jas:2:7: Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? |

Literature / 40+ Military Code Words For Writers by Abra4real(m): 8:10pm On Jun 30, 2018 |
One thing I've observed so far from military stories here on Nairaland is that they lack military code words. I'm guilty of that, too. But that shouldn't be anymore. I've outlined more than forty military code words for writers. Experienced writers can add more. Thanks. Six o'clock: rear, behind. Example: "Bravo 2, watch our six!" Twelve o'clock: in front of. Example: "RPG! Twelve o'clock." Five-by-five: fine, okay, all right / loud and clear. Example: "Chalks 1, 2, 3, your rotors are still functional, correct?" "Chalk 1, five-by-five." "Chalk 2, five-by-five." "Chalk 3, negative. I need to put her down." Mag(s): magazine (also known as clips) which bullets are stored, fixed into an automatic weapon, and fired. Example: "I packed you extra mags." Frag(s): hand grenade (an explosive, bomb.) Example: "He got hit by a frag." Clear: no danger. Example: "Left flank is clear." Clear right / clear left: no danger on the left / on the right. Example: "Clear left!" (This shouldn't be mistaken for the next one.) Clear right/clear left: search for danger or asset(s). Example: "Overwatch, clear the target location." "Clear our left!" Copy / read: hear. Example: "Base, do you copy?" "Base, do you read me?" Standby: wait patiently. Example: "Overwatch, stand by." Roger: acknowledge. Example: "Roger that. Overwatch standing by." Tango(s): opponent(s). Example: "Three tangos, six o'clock." Friendlies: persons on the same side. Example: "You've got twelve tangos on deck. They are not friendlies. I repeat, they are not friendlies." Hostiles: armed opponents. Example: "Ten hostiles on site!" Sitrep: situation report. Example: "Bravo 1, I need a sitrep." Casualty: the damage of an assault. Example: "What's the level of the casualty?" Head count: the number of dead men. Example: "I need an head count!" Fire / cease fire, hold fire: shoot / stop shooting. Example: "Snake Bite, cease fire!" "Alpha Team, hold your fire." Take cover: hide from danger. Example: "Incoming. Take cover." Positive, affirmative / Negative: yes / no. Example: "Chalk 2, can you continue the mission?" "Affirmative." Klicks: kilometer. Example: "Enemy is twenty klicks out." RPG: rocket-propelled grenade. Example: "Incoming! RPG." IED: improvised explosive device (bomb.) Example: "Negative. The target site is one big IED by now." APC: armed personnel carrier. Example: "I sight two APCs and one tank." Rally, rendezvouz point: meeting point. Example: "We meet at the rally point then exfil." On me: I'll cover for you. Example: "I'm flanking left." "All right. On me." Cover me: engage the enemy to pave way for me. Example: "I'm going for the target. Cover me." ID: identify, identification. Example: "Command, we have a positive ID on target." Asset: someone who infiltrates an enemy camp or organization to gather intelligence. Example: "He is an FBI asset." Cleared: properly informed and authorized. Example: "Even if I tell you what happened that night, I don't think you would be cleared." Infil: infiltrate, to go into the mission location. Example: "How many minutes until infil?" Exfil: leave the mission location for a base of command. Example: "Command, target secured. Preparing to exfil." Status: condition, situation, position. Example: "Bravo 5, what's your status?" Inbound, incoming: coming toward you. Example: "RPG! Incoming!!" "Bravo 1, be advised, you got three tangos inbound." Recon: reconnaissance, exploring or searching an area to gather intelligence. Example: "Are you kidding? You are going to the museum for a ground recon?" Decon: decontaminate, decontamination. Example: "How long until decon?" Confirm: acknowledge. Example: "Charlie Team, target on site, confirm?" ToC / CoC: tower of command / chain of command. Example: "ToC, this is Delta 1, come in." "I fulfilled my obligation and I hope you will relate that to my chain of command." Execute: carry out. Example: "Target in position. Execute. Execute." Eyes on: see, sight, view. Because it's the same feeling I have when I try to drive that I have when I want to play car racing games or any of the activities I mentioned above. Again, you said it's more of a psychological issue. Dyspraxia is psychological. |
