Look at this one, the yorubas were not willing participants in a war between the North and the Eastern region. Well, that changed when Ojukwu decided to invade Ore enroute to Lagos. What a dumb decision by Ojukwu...

ps: it was foolish Azikwe that ensured that secession was not included in the constitution despite Awolowo pleading for secession to be added.

In addition, you are always free to voluntarily move back to your IPOB land.

Yoruba sophistry will lead to the demise of that great people....sometimes a people need to eschew crass opportunism for the greater good! You picked the easier option of fighting Biafra....today we are all the worse for it! If Tinubu did not make you a billionaire while in Lagos....is it from Abuja that he will do so! Always fight for the truth! After 8 years of Tinubu rule another fulani will come up to take all of us back another 20years!

It appears we like negative lamentation in South East. We hardly encourage ourselves despite the obvious injustices being melted to us ; ranging from share of revenue accruing to the federation account to critical infrastructure which are business enablers. Modular refinery as you rightly mentioned is in Imo State, Orient at Aguleri Oti, Geometric Power in Abia, Oji River coal powered plant, Ala oji power plant in Abia, yet the man saw no hope in any of these even though we all agreed for more. What then is the fate of some regions with zero of the above listed infrastructure ? Our case is not the worst. Nigeria is generally challenging to every region. Let those that have what it takes start bringing some of their investments home, it would help in attracting population as job opportunities are created, which will in turn attract more investments to the region.

The nonchalant attitude you are suggesting we take is the exact reason the southeast is always cheated when projects are being shared! In fact we should loud the volume higher sef ......what do you mean ? We have no share of pipeline, rail line and new airport terminals............these are the catalysts for further investment if you do not know!

There is clearly a gap somewhere in the whole process, Nigerians sef don't hear word, so until the government starts ensuring CONSEQUENCES for developers and builders flouting laws, nothing will change. Same way buildings were collapsing left right and center in recent years including one at Ikoyi. There is a gap somewhere and it needs to be fixed for everyone's safety.

The biggest offender here is the government as usual! How can you allow omoiles to sell govenment land and canals...........to the point of allowing development to go on the the point of home sales....all of a sudden government undergoes an epiphany and starts demolishing everything in sight! If MTN and DSTV are still advertising, I don't see any reason why Tiger Foods won't advertise.🤷‍♀️. This also goes to all other industrialists in the South East.
Anambra is doing well!

Adverisement is meant for products that you fear that may not sell! Tiger does limited ads for the eastern market where its based! I do not believe it has surplus production for the national market!

With the exception of Augustine Ilodibe who took an advantage of mass ibo migration from the SE to SW and North, how did the rest of the names on the list became a billionaire?. This leads me to the rationality of the concept of money culture among the ibos. Politics / Re: Obi Faults Demolition Of Houses, Says Timing Wrong by Abufo: 2:36pm On Nov 30, 2023
LifestyleTonite:
No wonder Obi came third in the last election. He lacks sense and doesn't know when not to talk.

When Soludo and Otti were demolishing houses in Anambra and Abia,. respectively, this LP third-placed candidate kept quiet. Dude now found his voice because it concerns the Lagos they have coveteousness for.

How can you say the timing of the demolition is wrong, all in the name of hardship in the land? When hasn't there ever been hardship on Nigeria and in the world? So, because of hardship, illegalities should be permitted? Armed robbery should also be legalized because of hardship, according to Obi with 419 sense.

He even insinuated that Government ought to not have carried out the demolition now, meaning it should have been postponed. This is another reason why he's not fit to rule Nigeria. So, he means government should continue to permit flooding caused by illegal structures encroaching on waterways in Lagos. Doesn't he know that while the canal's route is blocked, its water gets diverted to other communities which gets flooded. This leads to stagnation of water that causes malaria mosquitoes, typhoid, loss of property and dirty environment. These happen while the illegal criminals enjoy their mansions sited on illegal land. Sadly, when there's a flood, the descendants of those so-called mansion owners will mock Lagos.

What Peter Obi wants is a postponement of doomsday. This was the same way he supported Naira Scarcity. Now he's supporting illegality, yet hopes to lead Nigeria someday.

Below is a photo shared by the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, showing buildings built to block a canal's passage. During raining season, where do the owners of those buildings expect water to pass through? Definitely, the water will find a channel that will lead it to where irs not supposed to go to, there y causing flooding in other communities. Obi wants such buildings to remain standing, whereas he demolished such buildings when he as the Governor of Anambra State.

He's a clown

you are the clueless mumu here! If all building codes and regulations wer strictly followed 50 %of buildings in Lagos will have to be demolished! Like Obi said all sensible laws should be enforced like reclaiming the canal right of way........enforced in ikota and Ejigbo but you see the festac and some of the abule ado demolitions will forever live in infamy..............there are many ways the demolitions could have been avoided! Anyway whatever a man does will be judged by posterity ! El Rufai did the same in Abuja in the early 2000s ...what happened to him later........he lost 4 sons back to back and he also lost a very young wife! I pity those who were involved in wrongful demolitions....I dont wanna be in their shoes going forward!

Chikeluba25:
Achebe Airport Partners Bonded Terminals Operators To Improve Cargo Operations

The Management of Chinua Achebe Airport, Umueri, Anambra, says it has entered an agreement with a private bonded warehouse operator to commence and boost cargo operation at the facilities.

Mr Martin Nwafor, Managing Director of the airport, announced this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Umueri, near Onitsha on Tuesday.

Nwafor said by virtue of the approval given by federal aviation authorities, the major thrust of the airport was largely cargo handling.

He said cargo operation had not fully started as the management was developing processes and procedures to prepare ground for smooth take-off.

According to him, cargo operations involve the people who own the cargo and the consolidators and they pull the cargo together from different people as well as the airlines which move the cargo.

He said the airport provided huge opportunities for investors wishing to build warehouse facilities, adding that the management was already processing the documents of those who paid processing fees and awaiting allocation.

“We are approved as an international airport but there are conditions that must be met to achieve it. We are working to get the necessary certifications by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority.

“As an airport, we have to provide the warehouse, work with customs and other agencies that are designated by the Federal Government to be involved in the screening of cargo.

“We have signed an MOU with a bonded warehouse, a private warehousing company at Nawfia. This bonded terminal has all the approving government institutions on ground.

“We are planning to build a cargo ramp and we have places mapped out for it, ” he said.

Nwafor said air cargo operation was not viable in Nigeria because of lack of corresponding exportable produce that could find their way to Europe, America or Caribbeans.

He said Nigeria should develop its agriculture base and put in place standardisation processes that would meet international standards in order to boost global acceptability.

According to him, the major problem that militates against cargo operations in Nigeria generally is that foreign cargo airplanes come in here fully loaded but go back empty, nothing to take back.

“When they bring in cargo, there is nothing to take back, they now fly to Ghana where pineapples are brought fresh from the farm, as a matter of fact, it must get to Belgium fresh in at least five hours.

“International standards must be met from clearing of the bush to harvesting; users in foreign countries are interested in the type of farm where these produce are harvested, and how well the standards are observed,” he said.

Nwafor said the investment in the airport had opened Anambra to the world as most corporate businesses and public sector visitors now accessed the state through air.

He said the major strategic objective of management of the airport was safety and that emphases were on building the capacity of the airport staff.

“You cover a journey that will take you 12 hours by road in 45 mins, negotiate your business and go back, it saves lives, it saves time and boosts image.

“At commencement, we were at 55 per cent, five months after our fire trucks arrived, more facilities are coming in.

The airport manager seems to be competent but his dressing is something else.........Aviation business is serious business and must be seen to be so! Every time i see this guy he is dressed down" like his going down to a pub to have a drink with friends.........He does not have to suit up but he needs to appear formal and appropriately dressed for the job!
