Thanks. I have already stopped the work.
Does that mean that Crypto trade in the UK doesn't affect international students?
If you use your country as country of residence while opening account on exchange you won't be affected in the uk but if you put uk as country of residence your file will one day be sent to hmrc for tax purpose

Hello everyone,
Please I need your help. I am bit shaking right now. I am a student in the UK. I was contacted over the weekend for data optimising job for App review for play stores and Apple stores through an agency. There is a form of payment that comes through the website where we review Apps for optimization (Which is just a click and submit review for Apps). The money from the website (in USDT) can be sent to a Crypto wallet (OKX). I had to buy buy USDT 2 times yesterday and today for the work which was £66 spent. The purchase was through P2P by paying directly into the seller bank account and then the seller releasing Crypto(USDT) to me in my OKX account. It all went successfully though. and I have realised £166 within the days together with my £66
But later, I started checking if I am eligible to engage into Crypto as an International student in the UK. I have not sold any Crypto than to buy 2 times(over the weekend. Please I do hope I am not in a mess already as an international student.
Your response will be appreciated.
Thanks
Any side hustle claim nigeria don't use uk and you will be fine. Moreso becareful with that type of job because you ate more likely to be scammed big time

True. I know somebody who had made 15k usd from free airdrop. Crypto is the legal way of printing fake money from thin air

She came with handyman who she paid to do the job for her.
You can make her regret her action. I remember when I was in ireland a polish girl made our landlord sell his house cheap cos he was tormenting her. She reported her house almost got burnt when she forgot food on the cooker and the fire alarm did not sound. Fire service came and told him to renovate the house with modern equipment within one month or sell to the person that will do that. Old man sell the house ooo.

Hello great minds, I have a wife and a kid. My wife is a qualified EMT and she already got a COS to resume with London Abulance service. We would be relocating soon if all things works well by next year. But my worries have always been how is the market over there in the web designing industry. Am looking at working remotely though because that's what I have been used to over here in Nigeria.

Who here have been in my shoes and how did you pull through.
Just apply for software developer Jon and you will get it

Government will always pay it to serious students as long as you gained admission. You pay back when you start working or own a business generating income
Business / Re: TETFUND Unveils BIMS For Tertiary Students by abuhusna1: 11:04am On Oct 29, 2023
What people don't know is how good this policy is. No lecturer can go on strike again as schools fix their fees and pay their staffs from their IGR while the government gives students loan to study in university of their choice. Just like it is in the Western world.

This is what this thread is all about: Community of kindness and sharing.

I had decided to let go of this thread because folks like Justman had decided to use the opportunity of being a moderator to attack beliefs that people hold sacred. I never understand how one thinks it's wise to keep saying negative things about non-criminal religious doctrines. You won't do such in UK to people's sexual orientation, for instance, regardless of your stance on the matter. But because it's Nairaland, it's alright to say things like "someone's sacred doctrine is a scam run by crooks in the Church".

I digress... But, I think I will come back. My epistles have helped so many people here.

I passed my theory driving test yesterday, first time. I also got my Mortgage Offer last week after only coming here 2 years ago as a Student Dependant. These are only 2 examples of some of the ways God has used information from this thread to help me.

So, here's to more Communal assistance on Nairaland.
Have you changed your status from student visa. If not how you wanna keep up with visa and mortgage

I don’t get. Can’t people with legitimate means of livelihood (e.g working in oil & gas) buy property abroad. I know people who have bought properties in SA, Dubai, USA but to name a few. So because of AML murky waters someone that has income/network in Naira can’t diversify their portfolio. Let’s be open-minded please. If you don’t have the answer, no problem. I’m seeking experience people that have gone through the route legitimately. In fact, all I’m asking for is choice location or strategy for the property market in this country. Thanks and God bless
You pay full as no mortgage for non resindent and you must be able to account fir the money

Tell her to list what you need then you go to the market with that 500 and see if you won't come back home to apologise to her and increase the money. 500 is just 50 cent. Less than 1 usd and almost everything she wants to go and buy are imported

Pls can they apply for IHS refund for both of them or d husband should apply for himself alone.

NB; it's 2years course

@duchess90 and other gurus in the house

go apply for ihs refund as long as your partner has 6 months payslip. He should be the one to apply on behalf of all the family not you that was once a student cos you are not in care. I got my first payment even when my wife haven't completed her studies

@PalestianIsrael:
Hear! Hear!!

Do an introspection. You are not faultless. Is it possible that you are the visa sponsor. You work. She works too. Your work is really energy-sapping, hers is (energy-sapping)^10…. (For those who hated maths (like me), that means Energy-sapping raised to the power of 10.

You get home, you are tired. She is very tired too. She needs some help in the Kitchen, but you are in the sitting room, pressing phone and browsing internet .

She painfully prepares the meal, still very fatigued. You are still pressing phone.
She asks for help, you ignore…’Afterall I’m the husband, she is the wife.

Then later in the night, you want to turn her into a construction site, for ‘construction work’.

Because she is the wife, who is expected to be loyal, she succumbs. You get up, go on top. Your entire 70+Kg on her. You construct your construction. Discharge akamu. Snore off to sleep.

6:00 am, both of you go off to work.

9:00 pm, you return home.

She is still carrying over the fatigue from yesterday. You too is tired.
She asked for some help to prepare dinner. You ignore. You keep pressing phone. And smiling. And chatting with friends and well wishers. She is there, all very lonely. In a new country. No friends no mates.

She asks you to please drop the phone and give her some attention. You totally ignore.

10:00 pm, she hasn’t served dinner. You are boiling within. But you still kept pressing phone.

She let out her vexation, and tell you how wicked you are.
…. And everything escalated.

PS:
The scenario above is mine.
As someone who came to the UK a couple of years ago, the above is roughly my experience.
I thought my wife had grown horns, because while we were newly married in Nigeria, she was always cooking diners making breakfast. Packaging lunch for me to take to work.

When we arrived UK, she ‘denied’ me all those. It was rough at first. But (to the Glory of God), here we are today, >12 years in marriage. Understanding ourselves and progressing together, as a couple.
This scenario is what 99% relationship going through me too included and women reacts differently to it based on level of understanding of both partners.

Her visa is tied to mine and she would be shooting herself in the foot as well, maybe we’ll both go home. At this point, I can’t rule out anything from her. I have seen insanity face to face. So sad that I used to judge men in my position in the past, meanwhile the wife is literally instigating the violence by struggling, slapping, bringing knives (poking me with the knife) etc. and anything resulting from struggle/self-defence is called assault. It’s utterly ridiculous. I have minor cuts all over and my body is aching me from slaps and blows.
I can tell you for free she won't go home as she maybe be granted stay if she claim threat to life and you may be sent to prison before being sent home. This country na woman country and they can bring you down for free just iron out your differences and live a peaceful life. Forget dependant visa and concentrate on your peace of mind.
If she no calm down after heart to heart talk start gathering video evidence as it may go a long way than to explain tire

PalestianIsrael:
Hi Elders,

Had to create a new account to hide my identity.

Need urgent advice. Domestic Violence.

I’m male based in UK.
Wife and I have been having arguments/fights.
Things have gotten physically unfortunately.
I don’t initiate it.
She says I trigger her by being on my own when we quarrel about couple issues or when I’m with my phone. She’s told me to leave the house. When I come back at night to sleep or when I’m using my phone/laptop around her, she will come and disturb me and start struggling with phone etc. She has smashed my phone. She has fought with me. Things are so bad she will bring out knives and say I should just stab her or use it to hurt her since my silence is “emotional stabbing” to her.
Our physical struggles lead to bites, cuts etc. on each of us. I repeat, I keep running away or holding myself (absorbing slaps and knife pokes etc.)

Long story short, this has happened too much. At least 3 or more occasions. I no longer feel safe. I think we need to separate while things escalate to our families etc. for reconciliation/solution.

Challenge is:
- we are on Tier 2 visa. I’m main applicant, she’s spouse. We both work.
- newly weds, no kids
- shame of failed marriage etc.
- we share a flat. Our lease is up, we are just paying a rolling month on month. That can be cancelled with 30 days notice.

I need advice from Elders who have either experienced similar issues or know people that have. We bought have pictures of the injuries we inflicted to each other as ammunition if things escalate to police.

I’m really confused. Please help!!!
Your evidence is meaningless if you have cut a woman. Better talk to her heart to heart iron out your differences no perfect marriage just learn to compromise and accommodate her. The day you call it quit is the day she will plot your downfall in the uk and call police on you for domestic violence
