I used Blocked account and it took me 3 weeks and two days after the interview on 26th Sep. Thanks Eke40seven....yours is next IJN !!

This was sent to me this morning " consent of the Aliens Authority at your future place of residence is necessary in order to issue the visa for you ".........Please can someone give me a clue what this means ?.....THANKS !!

But @naijaobi and @graciousme....If I make a mistake, please correct me. On the Form for account opening, I typed 7908 to be blocked in my account. Seeing it in the Embassy website as the minimum. Now, am funding it with 8300. I think I should be good to go. But if am wrong, what should I do ?

Not yet. The second batch of the fund will be transferred by tomorrow.

Embassy stated 7908 as the minimum plus 50 Euro. But I fund it with 8300, which is ok.

@ naijaobi.....actually I funded the account with 8300 Euro. But My blocked amount is 7908, which is the minimum from the Embassy.

@Realk1......But I opened with 7908, as stated in their website as the minimum......hope am safe !

Can someone fund the Blocked account a little more than 7908 Euro ?.....Any consequences ?

Just finished my Student Visa Interview with the Old Lady. It went well as I was able to answer all her Questions...... ......She stamped my Passport, gave me a receipt and told me that they will wait for info from Germany and then contact me through mail. All the questions cam efrom this forum. I thank all who posted their interview questions. Let me post mine.........

You might apply without A2 German. Just make sure you packed your application Technically. I did and they gave me an admission.

If you fulfill the professional requirements you will receive a letter of admission....but u will enroll for a language course before u start the program over there.

Well, I dont have them too. But I was given the admission with a condition to enroll in a language school. The Univ gave me their Language school to register.

naijadove: When did you apply to Uni of Duisburg-Essen and how long did it take them to reply you?

I applied 2 weeks before deadline and they replied One month after deadline.

Hello house, a friend of mine hand filled the blocked account application form instead of filling the form electronically. Authenticate it and sent it.......Will the bank in German accept it ??

UNIV OF DUISBURG-ESSEN

"You may enrol on the language course after you have fulfilled further enrolment
requirements at the university Please bring the
following documents with you to enrolment:
- confirmation of participation in the language course
- your passport
- your original certificates and translations in German or English
Once you have successfully completed the necessary language course(s), you may transfer to your chosen study programme."



All your letter is trying to say is that you have been giving admission by the school,
1. You have to enrol for your study programme first but you won't be starting until you have completed the language course.

Which means the steps you need to take are as follows:
1.Send your school a mail accepting the admission.
2. Ask them what the cost for the language school is.( which means you have to factor that in your budget)

3. You would then get to your university, enrol for your programme.

4. Start your language course (unroll you complete it you wouldn't be able to start your proposed programme)

5. When you are done with your language course you will then proceed to transfer to your proposed course you have enrolled for.




N.B : you don't need to learn to speak German for your interview because you would be going to language school of your university 1st before you start your chosen course of study.


Please house you can correct me if am wrong. ( took my time to read and digest the latter before writing, I may have over looked something)

THANKS @omamofe........There was a list of language schools the University sent to me for registration with the admission letter. They informed me to choose any. I get the picture clearly now. THANKS again.
