hollywater: You guys need to drop this tribal supremacy ideology. It is always irritating. Troost-Ekong is Efik/Ibibio, Moses Ajala Simon, Joe Aribo, Awoniyi and Aina are all Yoruba. Osimhen and Ighalo are Edo. Ahmed Musa, Sadiq and Zaidu are northerners, etc, yet we no de hear noises from these tribes o. Pride they say goes before a fall! 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Business / Re: Package Delivery Problems: USPS And NIPOST by abulude: 4:53am On Jan 08, 2022 |
Hello House! I posted a registered document with tracking number RR056980105NG to Ontario, Canada via NIPOST from Kano, Nigeria since 23rd September 2021 and I was able to tracked it via www.ship24.com few days later. However, record shows that the parcel arrived Lagos at Outward Office of Exchange on the 5th October 2021 at 12:47pm and departed from Outward Office of Exchange same day at 12:49pm. Since then, the parcel hasn't been delivered after three months. I've made several efforts to know what exactly happened through emails and phone calls to NIPOST all to no avail. I've equally contacted the recipient on several occasions and they haven't seen the parcel either. I even made an effort to track it via Canada Postal Service but was unsuccessful. I need help, please.

Anonymous993775: You're actually necrophiliac. I advise you see a psychiatrist in any of the teaching hospitals around you. One good thing is that it is treatable. Necrophilia is rare disorder, but know that you're not the only person with this condition in the world. Some necrophiliacs only fantasise about the act, without carrying it out but others do carry it out on dead body that are still fresh (especially those that work in mortuaries). 2 Likes |

Culture / Re: Benin Own Ife Bronze by abulude: 1:18am On Dec 31, 2021 |
gregyboy: I disagree that the history of Yoruba was falsely attached to the Benin for political relevance by the Whites. Your claims are not only irrational, baseless but also laced with sentiments. I would love you to furnish me with literatures and references to back up your unsubstantiated claims. Why would the Whites favour the Yorubas history over the Benin? What makes the Yorubas so special to them? I hope you know that most historical literature about the Benin and the Yoruba were mostly written before Nigeria independence, some before Nigeria was even formed? The word Ile Ibinu (Land of Anger) later corrupted to Benin is a Yoruba word and was coined by Odede. Likewise, the word Ewomika (my hand has reached it) later corrupted to Eweka is a Yoruba phrase. The royal house of Benin, Oyo, Ile-Ife, etc, are all related by blood. Even the Ibini Royalties never dispute or deny this (except commoners like you). I noticed that many of you that often meddle in Benin/Ife issue are not even from Benin. Being from Edo state doesn't mean you're a Benin. In ancient times, there are tribes, clans and kins all over Africa some of which are related by blood, marriage or via common ancestral relatedness and cultural similarities. It was the creation of countries and states that divided us as a people. For instance, the Okuns, Ijebus, Ijesha, Aworis, Ibadans, Sarkis, Itsekiris, etc, are all kins. The first people to be called the Yorubas are the Oyos (Katunga). Although in recent times, the word Yoruba is used to refer to people with ancestral link to Ile Ife. The Oyos have a great empire that extended from the bank of River Niger to Ibadan and westward into Dahomey and parts of Togo, just as the Ibini empire extend eastward to parts of Niger Delta. Mind you, the Oyos are great people with an organized system of government just as the Ibinis. So, why would they need the Benin to be called great people? Meanwhile, these two great empires (Oyo and Benin) were founded by the same person Odede (also known as Emperor Oranmiyan) the son of Odu'a, the great king of Ile Ife. Invariably, the royalties of Oyo, Ile-Ife, Ibini, Eko, Ijesha, etc, are kins. In modern era, the Yorubas are known to be educated, intelligent, exposed and are pace-setters, so why would they need anyone to validate them? Politically, the Yorubas need more of its population, education and expose to be relevant not an attachment with Benin. No matter how much you try, you can't change history. To break your heart, I would like to inform you that the Benins just like the Oyos were great in the past not anymore. I get am before no be property. 4 Likes 2 Shares

The people that have questions to answer are the senior students that are implicated in the crime, the school principal and the hostel supervisor. The students will definitely be charged for felony assault/battery, conspiracy to commit murder, murder/man slaughter and probably cultism. On the part of the school management, the two crimes the school have probably committed are negligence and a coverup. Meanwhile, listing the names of staff members is unfair because many of them may be innocent and unaware of what really happened to Sylvester. That I work on a ship doesn't mean I have to sink with it. 1 Like |

Karlovych: Shame on you and all the nitwits that liked your irrational post. You always look for any available avenue to attack the Yorubas unjustly. Your hatred for us will be your doom. This ugly incident could've happened in the southeast, northwest, southsouth or in any other place. changeAPC2015: This is clearly the handiwork of some northern oligarchies trying so hard to divide the SW before 2023. They are trying to dent the image of all our major players. Today it's Osinbajo, tomorrow may be Fashola or someone else. The writer obviously used a pseudo name to spread the propaganda. We Yorubas have to stand together for once. We have to unity against a common enemy. Yoruba ronu! |
