Certitude: Man, I opened this thread just to discuss bad guyz from the bible. I never knew non-christian will make a meal of it. It wasn't my intention to mock anyone. Don't you sometimes feel some liking for the villian in some movie? Just like how some love the character of Joffrey and Ramsay in Game Of Thrones. nobody is mocking the bible or making a meal out of your thread. Everything and or villian mentioned here and what they do are all mentioned in the bible. We've simply picked our favourite villians as you asked. There's no need to display any persecution complex here |

KingEbukasBlog: I've noticed that you say a lot of ignorance . And your rebuttals are very poor .
You first called David a mythical character , I provided evidence that he actually existed . And now you described the Exodus story as "one of my fantasy dreams " . You keep shifting the goalposts every damn time . Do you want proof the Exodus story is true this guy and arguement. Nobody cares about what you have to prove. Open another thread for that!! |

Yahweh. He ochestrated the murder and distruction of thousands of people. One notable one aside from the 'great flood' was the killing of 70,000 isrealites because one man, David, conducted a census!! |

Christianity Etc › Re: Nature: Made For Man Or Indifferent To Man's Existence? by AccidentalGenius: 2:00pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
I believe nature is indifferent to man's existence. Man adapts to nature, there are some regions on this planet we need to adapt to survive in, some regions we can't survive in. If nature was made for man it would have been perfect, but it isn't.
Nature IS. Man is a mere result of several processes of adaptation. One thing I'll also like to point out is, throughout this discussion, we've managed to ignore the animals living around us too. So to say nature was made for man is a mere stroking of man's ego.
If all men were to die, nature would still exists. If nature dies, we die. Nature doesn't need man, man needs nature. |

byteHead: A very big problem that we face is trying to reconcile general relativity which describes gravitation, and applications to large-scale structures (stars, planets, galaxies), with the demands of quantum mechanics which describe fundamental forces acting on d atomic scale.
The conflict between the two halves of physics has been brewing for more than a century.
In general relativity, events are continuous and deterministic, meaning that every cause matches up to a specific, local effect. In quantum mechanics, events produced by the interaction of subatomic particles happen in jumps ( quantum leaps), with probabilistic rather than definite outcomes. Quantum rules allow connections forbidden by classical physics.
When you try to interpret smooth relativistic laws in a quantum style, or vice versa, things go dreadfully wrong. This is brilliant. Thank you. To interprete this mathematically, quantum physics is more of geometric progression. Whereas, general relativity is more of arithmetic progression. |

divinehand2003: My dear, it all began with the unintended and innocent word, ''Hi". Then Things snow balled into something so intense that we were both overwhelmed , overtaken and conquered by a whale of emotions and feelings. Of course we couldn't help it anymore but to succumb.
I still remember vividly well how the romance engaged gears in an arithmetic progression leading to a cascade of fast and furious acceleration in geometric progression.
It was steamy hot while it lasted but things were pretty messed up at the end.
Cheaters out there, beware of being caught. what made things end? |

Wow. I'm so sorry man. What i've learned in my years alive(relatively young) is with time, you'll learn to cope with this better. With time, it'll be easier to want to get out of bed every morning, with time, you'll find happiness again. It'll just happen, you won't even be aware of it technically, but it'll just happen, you'll learn to live with this. With time. All i can tell you is to stay strong, cry when you can, socialise. It'll help. |
