Education / Re: As I Said Vs. Like I Said: Which Is Grammatically Correct? by AccidentalGenius: 2:14pm On Aug 18, 2016
"as i said" is the correct grammatical expression. "as i said yesterday, john got a new ride" "as" describes what was said in the previous conversation. You cannot say "like i said" that is grammatically incorrect. "like" can be a verb and also a preposition, therefore it cannot come before another noun "i" here in Nigeria, people are used to grammatically incorrect sentences unfortunately, because for them, thats what they grew up learning, saying and or hearing

something as harmless as a satirre makes you upset enough to say i'm high on something. You're really childish. You should be ashamed of yourself, honestly.

Religion / Satirre - The Invisible Pink Unicorn by AccidentalGenius: 1:26pm On Aug 17, 2016
The Invisible Pink Unicorn is a being of great spiritual power. We know this because she is capable of being invisible and pink at the same time. Like all religions, the faith of the invisible pink unicorn is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that she is pink and we logically know that she is invisble. She only appears to select few virgins and men who worship her pinkness and followers who are tempted by purple oyster will be sent to hell.

Scriptures from the book of pinknesis 1:1 says; in the begining, the invisible pink unicorn created the heavens and the earth, and the spirit of the invisible pink unicorn was hovering over the waters, and the invisible pink unicorn said,"let there be light", and there was light. The invisible pink unicorn saw that the light was good, and she separated the light from the darkness.

for devout IPUans, they shall have better days in life. Her pinkness has the 10 commandments which was preached by prophet AOL. People seeking her pink light of life should find her online, hear her gospel, and preach it, she is the one true God. May her pinkness be with us all. Amen

Atheism and agnosticism are effectively the same. I've already made posts on this, agnosticism IS atheism, but of a different sort. "Absence of belief in an intervening, personal supernatural entity that is pulling strings behind the scenes", characterizes both atheists and agnostics. Deists too even.

And some Buddhists. Buddhism and atheism can exist together and very often do, especially in more western adaptations of Buddhism. More of a philosophy than a religion, it's focused on cultivating positive inner states of being, NOT worshipping any external creator. Shintoism is similarly compatible with an atheistic worldview.

Lastly, many people who answer these surveys check religion off by name. But in practice, these people do not walk around seriously believing a god will heal their illnesses and improve their finances, or truly believing that everyone who doesn't subscribe to their belief will burn in a furnace for all eternity. The amount of people who earnestly hold the types of beliefs present in the Abrahamic religions, are a minority and declining in those areas.

youre right. but you cant explain things to people who aren't prepared to learn. this will soon become an unnecessary argument. she wont understand. im an atheist and I practice the Buddhist mundra meditation.

You dont prove that God exists , who still does that

I'm here to EXPOSE the foolishness of atheism . Let everyone know how wicked atheism inherently . Let the world know that atheists hindered the progress of mankind for 100 years . Atheism holds you back .Atheism leaves you in a quagmire . Atheism hinders anyone from fufilling their potential. Because it believes life is worthless and purposeless . It lets you believe that it is pointless to achieve in life . No wonder atheists are the least fulfilled , accomplished and distinguished

Come to Jesus . Join the winning team cool

Keep your Jesus to yourself. I'm atheist, and I can proudly say I have alot going. I make the most out of life. I progress. I don't do the same pointless and most unproductive thing you do which by the way is arguing everyday.

Come to think about it, is this how your Jesus behaves? Is this what he would do? I thought being a Christian was all about being Christ like? So this is what it means to be Christ like? At least to you.

Please stay on the topic or get out angry

You spend everyday arguing and to what end? You spend hours digging up all this and to what end? To prove a god exists? Is this all you have to offer as a person? Articles upon articles you call proofs. I'm not even jumping into this argument with you. That's what you do, argue! That's all you are, sadly. Apologies if I've derailed, I just had to.

The Spanish inquisition, slavery, witch hunting, democide and a whole host of other killings done in the name of Christianity by Christians. You're here talking about death and cruelty, when your religion and a host of others are the embodiment of death. What is the point of all these argument really? Is this all your life is about?

There are some professional institutions in the US and here too that specialise in photography, video, computing and stuff like that. They aren't necessarily degress per say, but they should help in broadening your knowledge. Do good to look them up. If you have a relationship with your dad he just might be open to funding that. Hope you understand? As long as you know what you're doing, how to do it, market it, produce it, you won't have much difficulties. What you need is the right information to guide you, i believe i've done the best i can. Whatever you decide, stay useful. Believe in yourself.
